Adriel’s Point of View:
Vagon, Michael, Philious and I were on our way to visit a seer concerning the location of the keeper of the Neptune, when I received an agreement call from my good friend, Rachel. She is a popular figure in the entertainment industry, and although I knew she was interested in me, I still couldn’t help but seek her advice. Rachel didn’t know I was a vampire. Most supernatural creatures didn’t know. She thought I was a warlock.
“Where are we going to meet her?” Michael asked curiously as he dressed.
“She said something about a night party,” I replied with a grimace on my face.
“Well, lucky us. We get to party before we breathe our last!” Vagon exclaimed sarcastically with a playful voice, and I nodded my head at him.
“Yep! Party party party,” I jubilated with a dull face and scoffed. My mind was occupied with my late lover and my one-night-stand lady. I couldn’t help but wonder if she had gotten my parcel.
I wanted to enter her house after dropping the parcel, but I heard whispers coming from her room, and I guessed she had visitors.
Also, when I opened the door with the passkey, a young man came down from his car, headed for her apartment. I had to leave her house quickly. I even forgot to close the door.
“Hey Adriel, what are you thinking about?” Philious’ thick voice snapped me out of my thoughts. “Is there another girl?” He asked with raised brows and I smirked at him.
“What if I say yes?” I replied, a mischievous smile on my face.
“Then I would advise you to be careful. We have an important mission at hand, and nothing should ruin it for us,” he replied with a stern look on his face.
“Argh! Come on Philious, you need to enjoy yourself sometimes. If you continue this strict behavior of yours, you might never have a lover,” Vagon lamented with a baby voice.
“I don’t need a lover, Vagon. There are other things that need my attention,” Philious deadpanned with a calm voice, and I looked at both of them as they continued their argument.
“Guys, I just received a call from Liam,” Michael announced, interrupting the two men’s disagreement. Philious looked anxious, and he looked at Micheal with raised brows.
“What does he want?” I asked and sighed, wondering what mischief my little brother was up to again.
“He said that Logan is back, along with his mother, and they are bent on snatching the family’s fortune,” Michael informed us, and I shrugged my shoulders.
“Well, that’s a problem for mother to handle. At least now she’ll have numerous sleepless nights,” I replied, grinning happily at the idea of my mother occupied with something else other than me.
“Don’t be like that, if Mum C has sleepless nights, she might get wrinkles on her face, and her beauty might begin to diminish!” Vagon squealed, like a baby, and Michael, Philious and I turned to look at him with squinted eyes.
“Shouldn’t her husband be in charge of worrying about her beauty diminishing?” Michael asked Vagon with a suspicious look on his face.
“Umm, well,” Vagon stammered, thinking about what to say. “We all know that Adrien is a fool, he doesn’t care about Quinn.” He stuttered, trying to sound neutral.
“But they are still married,” Philious chipped in, “so stop acting like her lover.”
“You know as much as I do that Adrien has more than ten other illegitimate children which Quinn is unaware of. Once she finds out, she will divorce him and destroy his history for good,” Vagon squealed, and shuddered in excitement.
“Oh, but she may never know,” Michael whispered with a melancholic voice, and gave Vagon an intimidating smile.
“Then I will tell her, and I’ll advise her to break up with Adrien,” Vagon said with a determined voice.
“You can’t -”
“No one will tell mother anything!” I chipped in, interrupting Philious’s words.
“Then you must be interested in protecting the family’s fortune at all cost,” Vagon replied with a nonchalant voice and raised his brows at me.
“Yes, I agree with Vagon. The Zupa’s fortune is part of the Lupa’s. If my siblings find out that Logan is here to take it, they will alert our other cousins, and the house will be filled with hundreds of annoying distant relatives,” Micheal confessed and I sighed sadly.
“Yes, the Malt’s family fortune is also in danger since the Lupas are in charge of it.” Vagon chipped in, happy that he had something to contribute to our conversation.
“Guys, don’t worry, no one is taking the family’s wealth. We are one big family, and together, nothing will happen to our fortunes,” Philious assured them, while I sat down, thinking about what to do next.
“Logan and his mother are not our main headache right now; very soon, the other illegitimate children will rise up and come for the family’s fortune,” Michael added.
“Adrien is such a sex-made he-goat, and I can’t wait for Aunty Quinn to destroy him.” He continued with a grin on his face.
“Neither can I. Anyway, we will get back to this discussion later, for now, let’s go to the party, we are running late.” Vagon suggested, and we all stood up. While Michael and Vagon left the room, Philious and I stood back.
“Are you worried that Adrien might have had another family, wife and children before he got married to mother?” Philious asked me curiously, as he placed his right hand on my chin.
“Should I be?” I questioned back, and laughed nervously.
“No, don’t be. Even if they are older than us, I will make sure that no one hurts you,” Philious promised me with a sincere smile on his face, and I couldn’t help but hug him tightly.
“Come on guys, drop the lovey dovey acts, and let’s go!” Vagon yelled at us, and we laughed as we both walked out of the house, heading to our luxurious car.
