Stella POV.
‘The party is here, don’t embarrass me,’ Wolfie warns me, she’s one to speak, she’s the one who calls the two alphas daddy and demand hugs and cuddles all the time.
‘I’m not the one who’s gonna run for her daddy,’ I answer Wolfie who’s acting all weird with me today, I have a feeling that she’s very nervous maybe that’s why she’s acting more than usual.
“Let me see what you’re wearing,” Finn says coming into my room and I showed off my new dress, he smiled with approval.
“You know I don’t need your permission, you know,” I say with a lot of sass.
“Permission, nah, but I’m the one with better taste,” he says with so much confidence, it was funny.
“Finny, love, I don’t,” I assure him.
“In the future, I’m promised the position of your stylist,” Finn says and I rolled my eyes at him.
“I’m sure mom is going to be so proud of you,” I say making him roll my eyes at me, he was dressed to impress as well, he looked very nice.
“You know wolves don’t like perfumes, they can smell really well, and the perfume throws them off,” I warn him.
“It’s not perfume, it’s just my shower jell, wolf approved, Cici said so,” he says, damn and I’ve been denied using perfume for so long, I should’ve asked for an approved shower jell too.
“Are you ready to go?” I ask Finn, we’re each going to get picked by our wolves, and we only told dad that we’re going for a party, we didn’t give him much information.
“Let’s go,” Finn says, he’s excited, he’s extremely excited, I know I hated this place when we first moved in, I had the theory and still have it, that you can kill someone and no one would hear their screams. But the scary place isn’t as scary anymore, not when I know that there’s a whole wolf pack who would hear my scream and come running to my rescue, when I’m the wolf pack Luna, and a two wolf soul, three if we’re still counting Theo.
Theo is the one who got away, I can’t feel him, and lately I’ve been feeling an empty space where his soul used to be, I’ve only learned to recognize those feelings, after a lot of classes with Luna Amelia, she’s a great teacher. If Theo took his soul and left, what does it mean? Is it okay for others to take their souls too? I don’t know what’s going on, but his soul is gone from my heart, and I’m hardly feeling my own soul, maybe I don’t have one, just theirs.
“Mom, dad, we’re leaving,” Finn calls out to our parents, mom came and had tears in her eyes, what is she so happy about? It’s just a party, not a wedding, nor is it our prom, or anything special.
“Why are you crying?” I ask her with worry, did she and dad fight over me? Us?
“Your first party,” she says happily, I could finally breath out in relief, so we’re not in troubles.
“Bye mom,” Finn says, ready to leave, I gave her one last hug, before leaving the house, I went and met with my two wolves.
“Wow, you look beautiful,” Milo says as soon as he saw me.
“Thank you, you don’t look too bad either,” I say with a smile on my face, I got in the back of Milo’s car and he drove us toward the party spot, it wasn’t that long of a drive, and most wolves would run there, except from the ones who got a human soul who’s not ready to shift yet, that includes both me and Finny.
The party was going full swing when we made it there, there was another bonefire going, wolves love their fire, maybe it’s a primal thing, dance around the fire and howl to the moon? Wolfie agreed which made me smile, we’re finally agreeing on stuff now, everyone was too happy to see James and Milo, a couple were happy to see me too, not all of the royals, but some of them tolerated me, Luna Amelia said once I shift they’ll all get used to me being in charge and would start repsecting me.
“Milo, where are you man, we were waiting,” one of the guys says.
“I’m here now, let the party begin,” Milo says with a smile on his face.
“Alphas here! Let the party begin,” someone yells, for creatures with supernatural hearing, they sure as hell love yelling, they like hearing their own voices.
“Hey, what about me,” I say in a teasing voice, I knew that guy, he’s not too bad.
“And the future Luna,” he says in an excited voice, but not that loud this time, they’re happy to see me, but not that happy.
“You want a drink or to dance first?” Milo asks me.
“Can I drink? Like really drink?” I ask him, I knew there was alcohol included, but I’m too young for those yet.
“Maybe a beer and a couple mocktails,” Milo says with a shrug.
“She’s gonna hate beer,” James adds with a chuckle.
“That’s was the plan,” Milo answer him, not nice.
“Then I’ll have a drink first,” I say, James was the one to get me it, he handed me the cold beverage that looked like apple juice, and I loved apple juice, so I took a big swing of the drink, and than spat it out right away, the two guys were smart to keep a distance, and get away from the splatter zone.
“That’s disgusting,” I say wiping my tongue out, it tastes like, I don’t know how to describe it, just bitter.
‘I know, I got you apple juice, you pretend that it’s beer,’ James says through our bond, handing me the new cup, taking the old one from my hand.
“Thanks,” I say taking a big sip of my new drink it’s a lot better than the old one.
“You welcome,” James says out loud, other people came toward us, they all talked to the two alphas, they said some nice words to me, they said hello, I smiled and listened to their talks, not that it was that interesting and not that I understood half of the words they said, I was just standing there pretending to.
“Let’s go dance,” I say as soon as their chats ended, better get them dancing before someone else takes my time and have them busy with talking again, both James, and Milo moved to the dancing area with me.
I wasn’t the best dancer ever, but when sandwiched between two alphas, any move is a good move, they covered me, and moved me when needed, I had a giant smile on my face, I was extremely happy, I was never this happy before, I never had the chance to dance with them before, I should get them to dance a lot more often with me.
Milo was spinning me around, making me laugh out loud, when I saw a wolf come running toward us, I looked at the wolf confused, I know it’s a wolf pack, but what are they so close to the party, none of the wolves have shifted yet, maybe they were late to the party and they came in running?
The wolf finally got over here, the wolf stood near us, and then shifted into her humans wolf, she looked to be shaken and afraid, maybe she saw something on her way here or maybe she had rough time getting here, I wasn’t one to judge. She looked around frantically, trying to find the alphas, she was near us, but the fear was blinding her view.
“Alphas, we got a problem,” she says coming running toward us, everyone call James alpha too, no one dares to say otherwise, and although he told them a million time that he’s not an alpha anymore, they keep on calling him so, he acts like one, sounds like one, is scary like one, and since he’s our alpha’s mate, and they are equally dominant, the title works for both of them.
“What kind of problem?” James asks looking at her with a raised brow.
“We got a big problem alpha, very big,” she says sounding terrified, now she got me scared too, everyone went quiet, only the music was still blasting, and all eyes were locked on her.
“What kind of trouble, explain,” Milo says in a firm voice, which made her turn to him with big eyes.
“Alpha, he’s back,” she says.
“He’s back?” I repeat, who are we talking about? And why are we so scared of that he.
“What does he want?” Calesti says, she was near us now, hiding Finn behind her, standing in defense stance.
“We all know what he wants,” James says coldly, he was looking around, ready to attack.
“What do we do?” Calesti asks.
“Take Finn home, keep him safe, we’ll keep her safe,” Milo says.
“I’m not leaving my sister behind,” Finn objects.
“Take him now,” James says in a firm voice.
“Everyone who got anon shifting soul, take them home, now,” Milo yells out loudly, people started to move the music was cut off and everyone was running now.
“Who’s coming?” I ask them now, no one is telling me anything and they all looked to be worried and scared.
“You don’t have to worry about it,” James says shaking his head no at me.
“I’ll worry about it, but first tell me,” I ask them.
“We’ll keep you safe,” Milo says.
“I know you two will, I trust you, but you need to trust me and tell me who’s coming and what’s going on,” I ask them, they need to come clean with me, they need to tell me what’s going on.
“Stella, we promise love, you don’t have to worry about who’s coming, we’ll be keeping you safe, no matter who comes in, we’ll be standing right here for you,” James says again.
“I’m not scared, but you need to tell me whom,” I say, whoever they were worried about was almost here and they weren’t telling me who it is.
Black wolf, silver eyes, ones that shines in the dark, filled with anger, hate, and the urge for revenge, those eyes were coming toward us from the woods, everyone has run off while we were busy just fighting over who’s going to come and what’s gonna happen. My heart stopped, I felt a lot of feeling going through my body, I felt souls, not just one, not two, but three souls all inside of me, dark, hurtful, and then he attacked.
“Theo, don’t…” I yell back at him, but it was too late, he has jumped and attacked my other two wolves.
The End.
