Blake leaned back in his seat. He had been working nonstop since he returned to the office three hours ago. Now he felt so tired. He stood up and walked to the window. With both hands in his pocket he looked outside as the receding sun cast a shadow over the city.
His back was really hurting. It had been two long weeks of board meetings, hours of discussing marketing shares and strategies for their services.
“Damn, I need rest,” he muttered to himself, feeling like a cog in a machine.
His mind went to Cassie, and he smiled. They hadn’t seen each other for over three weeks, both of them had been terribly busy. They’d only called and exchanged a few text messages over the weeks. Now he needed to see her. Apart from the sex, he missed her so much; he had even been allowing his mind to see her to be more than a sex partner and he’d thought long and hard about it.
His lips curled up in a smile as he turned away from the window and walked back to his desk to pick up his cell phone. He dialed Cassie’s phone number and waited for her to pick up.
“Hey stranger,” Cassie answered from the other end, her voice husky with fatigue.
“Hey you,” Blake replied and walked back to the window. “How is it going?”
“I have been stuck in the office since morning trying to correct some designs my team is working on.”
“Oh…oh,” I can imagine how tiring that is from the tone of your voice.”
“You don’t even know how tired I am right now,” her cheerful laughter filled the phone.
“Are you free after work tonight?” He asked. “I’m going to make dinner for us at my guesthouse.”
“Dinner?” Cassie chuckled. “You want to cook for us?”
“Yup,” he said smugly.
“I never knew you could cook,” she said into the phone. “What’s the occasion, though?”
“No occasion, Cassie,” Blake told her, a nervous laugh escaping his lips. “I miss you, Cassie. I just want to feed you…then we relax together until morning.”
“I miss you too,” she whispered into the phone, her voice turning breathy.
“We haven’t hung out in ages.”
“I just want us to relax and forget work and duties tonight,” he sighed.
“I’m in,” she agreed.
“I’m going to make your favorite pasta with pesto and shrimp,” his voice dropped to a whisper. “I want to take care of you tonight.”
“Eat…and relax…,” she drawled with excitement. “I like the sound of that, sugar.”
“Awesome,” he started pacing the room. “I’m going to leave the office soon to cook dinner.” He said excitedly.
“So, where is this guesthouse of yours?”
“Don’t worry your pretty head about that,” he cleared his throat. “Just get ready by six. Jeff will pick you up.”
“I love that,” she giggled. “I’ll be expecting him at six. Bye.” She said and cut off the line.
He walked back to his desk, the warmth of her voice lingering in his ears. He couldn’t wait to see her.
He quickly made another call to his chef at home. He gave him instructions to get the ingredients to do his cooking across to the guest house.
“Okay, Mr. Carter,” the chef replied. “I will get to it right away.”
*********
“I am so close, sugar,” Cassie purred underneath Blake hours later after they had eaten and relaxed a bit. It was their second round of sex and as usual, it was hot.
“Yes yes,” he groaned, stabbing her deeper and deeper. “Give it to me.”
“Blake,” Cassie’s body shuddered as her climax rushed through her. “I’m coming…Oh God!”
“I’m going to come…,” his cock throbbed even more inside her. “This is so good, baby.”
He burst inside her, filling the condom with his jizz. Blake set his hands firmly on the mattress, grunting and howling as he continued to fill the rubber more and more.
He collapsed against her body after he was done. Both of them panting from the mini waves of passion still circulating in their bodies.
“Cassie,” he whispered, his voice raw and husky. “You are the best.” He grinned down at her before he rolled over to his side.
She just smiled back at him. She laid her head on his chest, her body humming with pleasure.
They fell into silence, with his stroking her back and her hair while she rubbed his side.
“Cassie,” he called out gently after a while. “Let’s make this official. I don’t want us to be friends with benefits anymore.”
“What?” She pulled away from him and looked into his eyes. “Are you serious?”
“Yes, Cassie, I am.”
She shook her head, “no, Blake, we agreed we are just going to be doing this.” She breathed in and out through her mouth. “I don’t want to have a serious relationship, please.”
“You want nothing serious?” He reached out and stroked her legs. “Won’t you get married?”
“No,” she said with a shake of her head. “I never want to get married. It’s not for me.”
“It’s okay,” he nodded.
“I warned you before.” she laid her head back on his chest. “Marriage is not for me, I just want to live my life alone.”
“I understand.” He ran his hand down her spine. Not long after, she started snoring gently, making him realize she had slept off. He didn’t know why he felt secretly relieved that Cassie didn’t accept his invitation to make their relationship more than just sex.
He thought she was a good person and since they had a sort of chemistry, they could work things out. His father had been on his neck to remarry. He got out of bed, making sure that he didn’t wake Cassie up. He needed a drink. A strong drink. He went to the living room downstairs to mix a drink and carried it out to the porch.
“Gush!” He groaned, my life is so fucked up right now.” His hand rubbed the back of his neck. He knew he had allowed the pressure of being an heir to get to him by wanting to make things with Cassie official and permanent.
