Eli POV.
“And why are you here?” the first guy asks me, I looked at him, trying my best not to growl, or glare at him, I need them and not the other way around.
“I’m here to see her,” I say yet again, we’ve been going over this for over an hour now, I’ve made it to her pack, but I didn’t have any access to get in yet.
After I ended the call with daddy Aspen, I got on the plane as fast as possible, if he got here before he was going to tan my bum, and knowing that if I wait for him, he’d find out that Ashlynn isn’t here with me, and if he finds that out, he was going to beat my bum a second time for that, I should have stayed with her or maybe just call him right away, now that I’m here not daring to use his name to gain any privilege to get in the pack, I thought using my mate’s name would be enough but it clearly wasn’t.
“I’m here to see her,” I repeat to the guy, who I still don’t know his name, why did he do this, why can’t they just call her siblings they know who I’m, they know what she is for me, why are they driving me crazy!
“We’re going to call the alpha if we do that, you won’t be having any fun,” the guy threatened, but that’s exactly what I wanted to do, I wanted him to get the alpha.
“Please get him, Alpha Keiran knows me,” I say wanting to growl at him, but I’m in despair now.
“You know the young alpha’s name?” he asks me, great, here we go again.
“His mother is also an alpha, her name is alpha Cameron, the beta is Jacob, just get one of them, they all know me!” I say feeling the need to yell at this idiot.
“Go get the alpha,” he tells the rest, finally we got to the point where they go and get someone I know, this would come to an end tonight.
I stayed in my seat my hands tied behind my back waiting for them to go and get the freaking alpha, I waited and waited and waited some more, and they took forever to go and get the freaking alpha. Until finally, she came in along with Keiran and beta Jacob, I expected and hoped my mate would come in too but didn’t she make it over here? Was she hurt on the way? Did that girl get to her again those ideas were going through my head while they talked, I ignored them all, not caring for their words whether they are words of happiness or scolding?
“Where is Ashlynn!” I yell worried about her, my eyes were going feral, showing my wolf side, although I now belong to my two mates, I still hold some of the darkness of my feral wolf.
“None of your business,” Jacob answers me, but she is my business, I started to fight my restrains, I was only sitting like a good boy in the hope someone would take me to Ashlynn!
“Calm down Eli, she’s fine, Jacob, behave,” alpha Cameron scolds him.
“She’s here?” I ask the alpha, I need to make sure.
“Back at home, safe and protected,” the alpha says making sure to emphasise the last word.
“Okay,” I say taking a breath of relief, she’s safe, thankfully she is.
“Then why am I tied here?” I ask them, I want to go and find my baby.
“Because we have some questions to ask,” Keiran says, did they really need me to stay tied up as they questioned me?
“Ask away,” I say looking up at them, waiting for the interrogation to start.
“You’re in the mafia?” Jacob, says they know? Did Ashlynn tell them?
“How did you know?” I ask him, it’s not that I’m going to try and hide it, they know now, and I want to get my baby back.
“Ashlynn told us,” alpha Cameron was the one to answer me.
“Then you know, what else would you like to know?” I ask them, they must want to know some more information.
“You put our sister in danger, want us to call Jordan? He’d be happy to skin you alive,” Jacob asks me, I looked at him with wide eyes, Jordan wouldn’t think twice before doing so, he loves Ashlynn as much as I do.
“She’s not in danger,” I assure them.
“Being mated to a mafia boss isn’t dangerous?” her mother asks me, raising a brow at me, yeah I agree it’s not the safest life ever.
“Well it’s not the safest, but Ashlynn got protection around her the whole time, and she got both of us,” I assure them.
“She would be safe in here, between us,” Keiran says, well he’s right, I don’t mind staying here, we can both stay here.
“I agree,” I say getting everyone to look at me confused, they didn’t expect me to agree with them, but they are correct being here is much safer.
“Great, you can leave now,” Jacob says, I turned to him with a glare, is he stupid?
“No thank you, I want to stay here with my mate, we’re mates, you can’t pull us apart,” I say feeling my heart getting broken by those words, I can’t imagine living without her, or far away from her.
“He got a point,” Keiran says, thankfully one of them agrees with me.
“He can’t stay here, he’s the freaking mafia!” Jacob objects, maybe now is a good time to tell them we’re trying to retire.
“We’re going to retire, daddy Aspen is just ending his business then we’d be out of it, out of it all, we’re not the bad people, we never hurt anyone,” I assure them.
“And what if you are lying?” Jacob asks, he’s correct what if we are really lying?
“I’m not lying, I can’t hurt Ashlynn or allow her to get hurt, she’s mad at us, that’s why I came here after her, to make sure she’s okay and well taken care of,” I say to him, if we were the bad kind of mafia, we’d have her locked in our place where she’d never be allowed to get out of our sight.
“You’re only allowed on my ground because you belong to my daughter, one wrong move and Ashlynn herself would kick you out, mafia or not, I’ll kick your bum out to the streets,” alpha Cameron warns me, but maybe she just gave me her blessings, I’m not sure.
