Eli POV.
I knew exactly how Ashlynn felt, I was lied to also, and it’s not a nice feeling, to have your own mate hiding things from you, and for what?
I’m not going to say I’m ashamed of my work, I love my work, I did it, I knew what I was doing the whole time, but now that she’s here with us, I want to come clean to her, to confess my job and make sure she’s okay with that.
“She’s really mad at you,” I tell Aspen, who just nods his head, I love him, I really do, and have been in love with him for years now. But Ashlynn is what completes us, she’s our missing link and without her, we don’t feel complete.
“Do you think if I told her right away she wouldn’t be mad? She would’ve just joined us here?” He asks me, although he made a point, I wasn’t sure.
“For wolves, it’s different when I saw Ashlynn, I knew right away she’s mine,” I say but that kind of got him sad, he looked at me with sad eyes now.
“So you forgot about me? If it’s Ashlynn what you need Eli, I won’t stand in the way of your happiness,” he says, sometimes he can be a real idiot.
“Nu, and you’re an idiot, wolves feel this connection, the whole time I was with her all alone, I had you in my heart and soul too,” I explain, true I thought I’d have to keep them separate until they get used to sharing me, but being in a three-way relationship was much better.
“Thank you, Eli,” he says with a sad smile.
“I love you,” I assure him.
“And I love you too, now please go check on our mate,” he order me, she was mad at him but not me, she was there for me when I found out about the wolf’s secret, now it’s my turn to be there for her. It’s what mates do, and maybe we can keep a secret from Aspen to get even with him, but then who would be there for him, he’ll have to share us.
I think to myself with a smile as I left the club, I had to ask someone to drive, it wasn’t fun, it’s not Marco who’s driving me around, and there’s no meaning to torturing the poor soul who was driving me. When I made it to our building I went straight home the look for Ashlynn, hopefully, she calmed down from her anger and is now in a cuddly mood.
“Princess, sweetheart, I know you wanna be alone, but we can be alone together,” I say walking into the house searching for her.
I searched the whole place, but couldn’t find her, did I beat her here? I called Marco to check with him.
“Where are you?” I ask him right away.
“Going back to the club, I left two securities back home,” he answers me, this means the princess should have been home. I went on a second search for her, I even called her number but it went straight to the voicemail, did she get kidnapped? Was she attacked? Hurt? Did that Amber chick come back again, all those questions were running through my head.
Back in our room, over the bed, in the middle pillow, the place where princess Ashlynn sleeps was a piece of paper, I picked it up and checked it, it was her handwriting.
Dear mates,
Lying to me is never acceptable, even if it’s for my own good. I don’t know who you two are anymore, I can’t be with people who I can’t trust.

If Aspen read this message he’s going to be so broken, he already doubts our love toward him since he’s not a wolf-like us, I knew he can’t see this message, I had to protect him, even from our third, I folded the paper and placed it in my pocket. The only place Ashlynn got to go to is her family’s home, either her brother’s or her mother’s house, she needs people she can trust.
I started to pack a small bag, getting my phone calling Aspen, this is better done on the phone when he can’t reach my bum or read through my lies, but Ashlynn’s bum won’t be safe for long.
“Hello,” Aspen answers me, his voice was always filled with pride, I can’t go around and break it or break him.
“Hey, boss me, and Ashlynn have come up with a solution,” I say.
“And what’s that?” He answers me.
“We’re going to visit her family for a little while, safer for Ashlynn that way,” I say hoping that would make him approve.
“Is she still mad?” He asks me.
“Just a little bit, but she says that she loves you,” I say hoping she still does love him.
“Let me talk to her,” he says, I panicked, looking around the room trying to find Ashlynn!
“She doesn’t want to talk on the phone you know how girls are,” I lie, I might be a good liar but Aspen knows me too well.
“Really now? Why don’t you two stay put until I get home,” he says, and we’re busted.
“Nu! I mean, nu, you got your work to do what if that girl tries to attack Ashlynn again! Or worse me!” I say with a dramatic voice.
“You’re a big boy Eliot, you know how to take good care of yourself,” he says, making me feel proud.
“Thank you for the trust, now you should trust me on this, we’ll be safe, promise,” I say hoping he’d let us go.
“I’m leaving the club, wait for me,” Mr. Stubborn answers me, I couldn’t keep on pushing him, he’ll know I’m lying and tell his man to keep me in.
“Okay honey, I’ll see you in a bit,” I answer him, ending the call, I took my bag and ran out of the house, Aspen drove like a crazy lunatic especially when we’re not in the car with him.
I couldn’t take the private jet, I can’t take one of the cars, I can’t do anything with his money or he’d find out I lied to him, he’d kill me for that, turning me into an example for Ashlynn and the rest not to lie or mess with him. I had to stop a cab, I was raised in the city but stopping a cab wasn’t one of my many skills, after my third trial the car thankfully stopped.
“To the airport! Quick!” I say seeing the black Mercedes rolling into the neighborhood.
