Micah POV.
A week could pass so quickly, especially when I’m work free, I haven’t trained for the last week, I finally had the chance to heal, my wolf has fully healed me, I avoided my father at all costs, just using the lie of watching Jordan, Joshua and Jordan aren’t on the best-talking terms, Jordan hates him with passion.
Every time they meet or try to talk to each other, they’d end up growling, I had to get in the middle a few times already, they go for each other necks, Jordan would try to touch me in front of Joshua.
“Jordan, please, don’t touch me in front of him…” I start to whine over my mate’s head, he never gets mad when I whine or tell him about things I don’t like, and he always listens to me, no matter what.
“Yes, yes, I know, your dad would kill us both if he knows I’m taking his son’s innocence,” Jordan says with an evil smile, kissing my lips, I pushed my silly mate away, he’s cute.
“You don’t know what he’s capable of,” I inform my mate, he hasn’t seen what my father is capable of, he’s not just cold-hearted, he’s cruel, who doesn’t care if I’m his son or not, he’d kill me, he’d kill us both.
“You don’t know what I’m capable of either little mate,” he says making me blush, he wants me to try and regress to a younger headspace, I would’ve done that, but I’m worried about trusting, not trusting my mate, I kind of do trust him so far, he never did anything to push me away, but I’m worried about others walking on us, someone else seeing me in such vulnerable status.
“Top it…” I say pushing him off me, I meant to say stop it, but words always turn out funny when he’s pushing me into that headspace.
“Top it? I’ll be happy to top you,” he says his lips meeting my lips again, kissing me, I kissed him back, I love kissing him, I never knew how fun kisses could be.
“We need to go,” I say, enough with the dominate me jokes, although they are funny, but he can’t keep saying them.
“Why go? We can stay here hidden, please,” he says with a fake pout, my mate is such a silly guy when he wants to be.
“Tomorrow we’re going to start training, we can’t stay hidden, dad needs to see you, you know,” I say, I don’t like that, I don’t like what he’s about to endure, I wish if I could take off and run away with him.
“Fine, tell you what little baby, how about we have the cold meat with your father,” he starts, meaning dinner, he doesn’t like how dinner goes around here, although he’s our guest, he only got hunted meat, not ones he enjoys, “Then we’d come back here, pretend to call it early, and sneak out,” he says stealing a kiss from my lips.
“Okay,” I agree with him, we can do that, we can call it an early night, sneaking out would be tricky, but I want to have the chance to talk to him about the training, it’s nothing like he’d expect, it’s hard long hours, and by the end of the training he’s going to be leaving, leaving me alone.
“Hey… hey, what’s that pout for? Micah?” he asks pulling me toward him, I faked a smile, he doesn’t need to know my insecurities.
“Nothing, it’s nothing, let’s go,” I say lying to him, holding his hand dragging him out of his room, we spend a lot of time there, but once we’re out, our hands pulled away from each other, no one can see us holding hand, we made it to the dining table, we each took our places, dad was eying Jordan, tomorrow he’d be having his revenge on Jordan.
“You ready for real training,” father says, I swallowed hard, this isn’t good.
“Of course sir, I’ll be ready let’s take over the world,” Jordan answers, although his eyes said he’s ready to kill someone.
“It’s not the world we’d be taking over boy,” father says angrily at his answer.
“It’s more of the next pack, and the one after,” Joshua says, I turned to him confused, taking over other packs? I never heard that before.
“Of course, of course,” Jordan says, finishing his dinner, I finished mine too, staying quiet, following him to his room after dinner.
“Ready to leave?” I ask him wanting to avoid any chat about dinner and training, and father, I just want him to take me away.
“We need to have a chat,” Jordan says, it’s what I’m worried about.
“Can we leave first, please,” I beg him, I want to get away first, he nods agreeing, he locked his door, opened the window and jumped out first, followed by me, we skipped the other wolves, soon we shifted to our wolf form taking off running toward the emptier part of the forest, but I knew wolves would be everywhere, I guided him toward my secret place, it’s the safest place to be in.
“A cave?” Jordan asks shifting to his human form, although it’s cold, it feels warmer than the cold house.
“It’s my secret place, I come here when I want to stay alone,” I share with him, he sat on the floor opening his arms for me, I sat in his lap, his arms holding me close, keeping me warm.
“Baby, your father is full-on psycho,” was my mate’s first comment, I totally agree.
“I know,” I say my mind shifting to the idea of him leaving me here alone, how would I live without his warmth.
“You’re pouting again, Micah, talk to me,” he says landing a kiss on my cheek, I just shake my head no.
“Micah, little boy, don’t hide things from me, that’s a rule,” he says but I just roll my eyes at him, which gained me a slap on the thigh.
“Mind me little boy before I turn your bum red,” he says, I’ve been hit before, I obtained more painful injuries, but a spanking from Jordan scared me more than any of those beating.
“You’re going to leave me,” I say, a lone tear going down my face, I didn’t mean to cry, but thinking about him leaving did that to me.
“Leave you?” he says landing a slap on my thigh.
“Hey!” I say angry at him, I told him the truth.
“Bad Micah, I’ll never leave you! Not ever! My brother is an alpha, my other brother a beta and my mother is a badass alpha, after this training, you’re coming home with me, and I’m never ever letting you go!” Jordan says, and I believed him, I did, for once in a really long time, I trusted someone.
