Jordan POV.
“Micah, please, don’t cry, I’m not a bad mate, I promise,” I say feeling hurt, why is he crying, I’m not that bad of a mate, he doesn’t know me yet, he doesn’t know what kind of a mate I would be.
“You can’t be my mate… you can’t be!” he says again, hurting me deep down, I wanted to cry too, but I can’t cry, why can’t I be his mate.
“Why can’t I be?” I ask him instead, maybe he got a good reason.
“You’re a male, I’m supposed to be a dominant wolf, I’m supposed to be the alpha after my father,” he says, but I’m the dominant one, but that won’t get in his way.
“You can be my mate Micah and still be the alpha, baby we can do anything you want to do, be anything you want,” I say, why I’m begging him, my wolf doesn’t mind begging him, begging for our chance, once he gets to know us, he’ll know how much we already love him, it’s the most dominant mate job.
“If my father finds out…” he says shuddering at the idea of being caught.
“You mean alpha?” I ask him, just making sure if he’s the alpha’s son, he’s next in line.
“Yeah, I’m alpha’s Blade son,” he answers me, the cruel alpha’s son, he got every right to be scared, but I’m here for him now, no one would judge him, not with me being around.
“We can go to my pack, you can live with me,” I assure Micah, my hand going toward his short hair, I wish he’d let it grow just a little, I want to be able to mess with his blond locks.
“Dad would never let me out… he’d hunt me down and kill me, he’d start a war to get me back,” he says with new tears going down his face, the way his whole body was shaking, he didn’t want to share this, but he felt the need to trust me, he got to trust me, I’m his mate, everything in him screams to trust me.
“Okay, we’ll figure this out, I promise,” I say promising my mate, I’ll call home, I’ll ask mom and Keiran for help, and I’ll find a way to get Micah over to our pack.
“Okay, we need to get back,” Micah says his whole demeanour shifting, he wiped his eyes clean, he used his sleeve to wipe his nose, I did a tsk noise, getting tissues from the back, wiping his nose clean.
“Blow,” I order him, I’m used to taking care of Ashlynn even when she’s sick, I’m the one who takes care of her, that includes making sure she blows her nose.
“Jordan…” he whines, sounding like a little boy, I couldn’t help my smile, my little boy, mine!
“Just do it,” I order him again, he got nothing to be shy of, I’ll take care of him no matter what, he blew his nose, his cheeks going bloody red, not that I minded, I just smiled at him assuring him it’s nothing.
“Good boy,” I praise him, which made him blush even more, just when I thought he couldn’t get any more adorable.
“Let’s go back,” I agree with him, it’s time to get back, I started the car and began to drive back to the house, I saw Micah look at me, he got something he want to say, but he’s too shy to say it.
“You can tell me anything Micah, you can trust me, love,” I assure him, but his face says he doesn’t trust me, he doesn’t trust easily, I don’t blame him, this whole pack doesn’t seem to be really trustable.
“You can’t…” he starts, he keeps saying the word no, can’t, don’t, Micah’s dictionary going to get changed soon.
“Yes, love?” I answer him.
“You can’t mention any of this to anyone, not my pack, or family,” he says, but they aren’t his pack or family, he belongs to me now, he’ll get to meet the real family soon.
“Okay love,” I agree with him, it’s better to keep it between us for a while.
The rest of the drive was really quiet, it’s short, didn’t take us long to get there walking, with the car, it took us an even shorter time, I parked my car in the back and got out along with Micah, I wanted to hold his hand, but he took a step back, I got the gesture, although it hurt my wolf deep down, he wants to cuddle our mate, not have him pulling back. Joshua the boy from before came toward us, he had the same lazy smile on his face, I ignored him, and I held no interest in this guy.
“The alpha wants you, Micah,” the guy says, I saw my mate leaving me and going toward some other room, I wanted to follow him, to join him wherever he was going but Joshua pulled me back by my arms, I turned to him with a growl what does he want?
“The alpha would keep Micah busy for the rest of the day, why don’t we spend some time together?” he offers me, but I didn’t want to spend time with him, but for me to find out more about my mate and his pack, I’ll have to spend some time with this guy.
“Yeah sure,” I agree with him, going to sit with him in the living room, the house was really quiet, and freezing cold, I pulled my hoodie closer to me.
“Is it always this cold around here?” I ask him, outside was warmer than the inside right now.
“You’ll get used to the cold, alpha likes the cold,” Joshua explains, getting closer to me, I wanted to push him away, but I need more information.
“What about the alpha’s son? He’s next in line?” I ask him, I knew he was from what Micah told me.
“Yeah, we’re next in line,” Joshua says, the word ‘we’ made me growl, but I kept it to myself.
“The alpha is kind of a…” I say not saying the work, he’s a jerk, but I can’t say the word right away.
“He’s cold-hearted, but he’s not that bad, you’ll get used to him, he’s great in training, you were sent to us weren’t you!” he says with the same smile again, it’s a really fake smile, I hate it.
“Yeah,” I answer him, as he talked, he tried to get closer to me, while I tried to move away until I gave up.
“I think I’m going to rest for a bit, I’ve driven through the night,” I say going toward my miniature room.
“Want me to keep you company?” he asks me, offering himself.
“No, I’m good,” I say avoiding beating his bum, going toward my room.
