“Laura.”
She called out her name again just so she’d be certain this was not a dream sort of at that moment she would take anything, she would rather just disappear into the ground but instead she was right here, she was right here doing nothing than looking straight into the eye of the Woman she had betrayed her trust.
“I am sorry -”
“We need to talk.”Laura muttered
*****
Laura had spent the longest time thinking of the right words to say to her about the entire situation but as it seemed it was turning out to be the hardest thing she would have to do at that moment.
Most definitely she was still right there , with Antonia after all the madness between them and she couldn’t be more happier.
Now they walked across the lawn and ensured they were Actually were alone, prior to this moment she had thoughts about now she’s handle this aspect of seeing Antonia she hadn’t expected that she’d still be this be calm but it was exactly what she had done, she was calm taking in every part of her with deep sympathy.
The haze around the sky started to thicken, before shifting into again in her mind, Lauren was cautious, since it was a private residence she knew that the risk of finding help was higher but she needed to, there was a need for her to find help amidst the entire madness.
And while the chance of someone from the outside seeing them was negligible, it was better to be safe than sorry.
As they walked Antonia noted that Laura had this look about her , it was more reason she thought about the need to find a way to pacify the situation.
“Didn’t mean for it to happen, I was trying to help him.”
Trying to help him?
She was mad at the statement, she thought Tonia was the craziest woman she had ever seen. Laura was exasperated.
“Do you know what it cost me to look for you both ? “She asked.
She was filled with rage as all the woman did was nod her head, she had always been pleased with her self control appearance. Her way of handling things but at the moment, with the fact that her soul was burning up she isn’t sure if that anymore.
“I can make it up to you, I will face the law.”
The law?
At this point she felt the need for the woman to stop talking if there was anything she wanted to do that would be settling the entire issue she had no wish to get the matter to the law or whatsoever.
. Idly, she thought that she and Christian made a handsome couple, and she was the one that walked into their lives.
“I am just here to get everyone home.”She spoke calmly.
Tonia was prancing, eager to do anything to fix the situation call it guilt or whatever and Laura quickly followed her, carefully noting all
that she encountered.
The air was crisp and clear, carrying on it intriguing scents while they halted it was Laura turn to ask the question she had been dying evening.
“Where is he?”
Most definitely she had no answer to that dying question she didn’t know what to say about it either, all Tonia paid attention tineas
was the slightly damp and spongy underfoot, she was confused as to why the name was called when she thought Chris went after her
She darted her eyes from side to side, taking in all the sights, her heart stopped racing and pricked with curiosity.
“I thought he was with you.”
It was the craziest thing she had ever Heard, she didn’t understand Tonia would think that –
It was funny as judging the fact they were just Seeing.
“I didn’t call him.”She spoke calmly.
Understanding that Laura would want time to absorb her surroundings, Tonia politely stopped , it was crazy it left many questions unnecessarily and Laura yipped in worry, she needed an answer and it was getting crazier-
While she seldom had filled her heart with so much hate , at that moment she felt all of it at Once she loved the thrill of the moment but at that age felt that more deeper need to bring an end to this.
She held Tonia by her throat and being physically pinned her up .
It was unladylike but she was past caring at this point and needed answers , a lot of it.
For her part, Tonia was a fine fighting age held down with her heartbeat trailed behind her soul as she looked disinterestedly at whatever this.
Eventually when it looked like she had no answer she backed away..
*****
Thoughts of fixing the issue had also passed through her mind, especially in the mornings since she’d arrive she was making a call again
taken to fill her moment by trying to reach him
. She was trying to analyze her feelings and make sure age wasn’t acting out of control, she
found that writing them down seemed to help. To be sure, she was on the right track to finding him; they had gone to the pub together and spoken to who he was with.
She was coming to suspect that her feelings for him had been more that of deep friendship based on years of togetherness, rather than an all-consuming, passion- if there was anything left for Antonia to believe it was the pact destiny had in all of this, it was the fact she could never put them apart.
Her new existence was pleasant and on the one-week anniversary of their arrival, she found herself in his life and still all her attempts to make things work left it In a state of Madness.
Soon they had a lead, it was just moment if Time till they’ll get the feedback from the sheriff and track him down, the last bit of time gave the women time to reflect in everything – It was a companionable way to spend the
evening; the occasional sobbing and the occasional rustle caused by Laura pacing
kept the room from being totally silent.
Despite her claims that she’s was fine she found her gaze wandering from the
entire situation and staring at Laura’s back as she bent over the table.
The time spent with her that last week had
been nice, but she knew that he wouldn’t always be that way but at this point in time they were experiencing an unusual lull in the situation of things.
They were still waiting for results on
the search and hoping no further problems with Christian had occurred. Somehow, she knew what had to be done.
