What made the moment darker, the sense of darkness that hovered round the building at that moment or the fact that Laura was there crying.
She debated on the thought in her head, as she did, she made way toward the woman -immediately she held her hands out to the woman in an attempt to hold her.
“You need to stop feeling this way, what is wrong? “She questioned.
Her questions were still left unanswered by the woman who at that moment looked devastated, she didn’t Know how to take in the news or understand why she waa ? rying-something about her made her wonder if there was more to the situation
It wasn’t the tears that ran down her eyes that made the situation more confusing, the fact that she was sobbing too hard and had not unraveled what was going on.
Riley who was standing there was confused herself, it was difficult seeing the woman cry and to make matters more complicated she couldn’t tell why as she was just left there, confused.
She stared again at her boss and friend sharing in that moment of absolute devastation.
“Is he fine?”She queried.
By now, Laura is still visibly shaken and yet to utter a word.
Outside rain pattered against the window, while still about to answer the pending question being asked that the doctor walked out.
She shut her eyes as slowly her mind drifted down the memory lane, she tried all she could to take it all back in.
The crying immediately stops and she nods, wiping away the tears that glittered against her eyes, she walked up with you the doctor that had walked out, she was wielding in her heart
“Is he going to be fine?”
She was in despair, she needed to find answers to the entire situation and she needed it now , she could feel the need burn in her soul as she stood still for a minute.
He sighed.”He is going to be fine, we just need his wife to sign a document for his surgery and that would be all.”
Immediately the doctor said those words her mind was filled with hope again, if it was all consent documents she was certain she was able to do that.
She sniff’s .”Let me help sign it.”
“I am sorry we need his wife.”He smiles and leaves.
She could listen to the thrill that followed everthing that had just been Said but she couldn’t make out much from it as she was filled with anxiety that moment, she was confused not sure of what to do or what to make out from the entire situation.
She took a fele steps back and sat with a thud
“What am I going to do?”She sighs.

She as standing there filled with uncertainity, at first she thought there had been a bit of hope for the entire situation but now it seemed more or less shattered and there’s wasn’t much she could do about it .
How then should she be able to call Antonia.
As she thought about it, it was occuring to her that the situation was a lot kroe difficult than what she was letting in and somehow something had to be done.
“You need to rest, I’d watch him tonight … You two can head home.”Damien spoke calmly to the women.
At first she hesitated but soon saw the need, she needed to go home and needed it to clear her head.
She muttered a thank you , as Riley lead the way out.
Immediately they walked in, the twins ran out to hug her, She was glad they were fine all thanks to the help from a hired nanny.
The many questions asked were halted by Riley walking the boy’s to bed giving her time to reflect in everthing again, as she walked back she saw the look on Laura distressful face and stopped right before she met with her, she
held the woman feeble hands that looked to be giving an icily feeling each second that tickled by.
“Everything is going to fine.”She muttered.
She must have Said that but her words held something different, something she didn’t want to dare think about at that moment.
The thought of that man dying left so much pain that made her heart ricochet- As a tear rolled down her eye it fell right over her palm that was covering that of Riley’s.
She had told herself lies that’s she didn’t want this man but right now at this moment, he was all that she thought about, she blames herself for getting into a fight with him the other night.
“You can do this, you know.”Riley’s voice rang out in the darkness.”I need you to pull through this, it would be more difficult without you around him and he needs you, you know.”
As she spoke again Riley gave a weak smile.”I believe in you, if anyone can get himself through this it is most definitely you.”
“But… But.”she stutters not having the definite word’s to say the words that were at the back of her mind.
She was too scared to mention the fact that all this felt too strange, but it was the only way out … It was the only essence to having it all only to lose it again.
“Tell me how am I suppose to call Antonia, she didn’t pick that first time.”
“You can do this-“Riley reassured.
“Find her Laura if there is anyway he would have a chance at Life it is with her.”
“What if she doesn’t believe me? “She questioned.”What if doubts me.”

She stands abruptly.”One call “The word echoed deep in her thoughts.
The air was mixed with the scent of anxiety as she heads go the table, all her thoughts were filled with was with one common fact.
