Riley felt disturbed about every other thing that were necessary at that moment even as she made way down the stairs, she could see how possessive he was and how he had acted just a few moments ago-
She bumps into Antonia, the plates in her hands fell to the ground and shattered into so many pieces.
With trembling hands she apologized as she picked the broken shards gingerly.
“Oh, you should be careful next time.”Tonia cautioned, she hesitated for a minute before helping the woman pick up the broken shards.
It was hard for her to explain anything else at that moment as her mind felt blank, even as the other woman continued speaking she could not bring herself to understand anything about the entire situation at the moment.
Tonia touches her and she flinches.”Are you fine?”She looked at her worried.”You are burning up.”
Riley muttered something she couldn’t understand as Tonia scowled at her before dragging her away to the kitchenette.

She had searched the crook and cranny go the apartment still there was no sign of Laura, she was feeling all worried.
She tried calling her again and it made her more worried.
Riley doesn’t answer her phone, Laura paces around, she is losing signal so she paces across-the-yard desperate to get through to her, she wonders how she was handling the situation having seen the way she walked out earlier.
She contemplates calling her again, but her head is so foggy she’s barely able to get the
phone as she only wanted to get to her-
“Have you seen my secretary?”she croaks, her fevered mind having a hint of panic.
“Yes, she is in the kitchen.”The maid answered
Sighing in relief, she made her way there, in a way she is starting to think If all of this were a deliberate effort Rhys to get to crush whatever he thought was going on between Damien and her.
If he did, that’s low-even for a man of his caliber, even the cruelest, wouldn’t have done such a thing.
She pushes the door open and fits another surprise, a start like one this time.
The spell of the temporary relaxation Riley had is broken when the door opened, Laura walked into and found the two -Tonia and Riley – Talking.
“Been looking for you.”She muttered.
It was an awkward moment, since they had moved in she had done all she could to stay clear off her path right till this moment.
She thought about the best way to tell her everything, she couldn’t get her mind to focus on anything at the moment till she let out what she was about to say.
Tonia senses that she would be intruding and walks out of the room after excusing herself.
“You two are friends now?”Laura asked immediately as she walked out of the room, he wasn’t still able to get out of the shock she was in.
“Not really, we just thought about talking about things.”Riley smiles .”She is not all that bad.”
Laura’ shrugged, she had nothing against Tonia anyways-.
“So you Said we’re looking for me? ”
“You mean he wants all that.”Riley grimaced.
In a way it was hard for to get over anything that was going on at the moment, her face was obviously filled with shock.
“Yes, he said all that… I didn’t think he’d be able to try getting Damien’ sacked.”
It was hard to explain, she ransacked her mind thinking of a possible reason why but got nothing at the end of it, it made her more confused.
She was certain that Rhys liked her and they’ve shared a kiss, one that she was yet to share with Laura, she wondered what Damien would do if he found out , it was enough that she made him furious and was yet to reconcile.
His eyes move to Laura, expecting an answer, which she doesn’t offer- she had thought Laura would rebuke her and let her know all these were her fault regardless of that fact Laura stayed quiet.
She doesn’t know what she needed to do, should she apologize to him, she intentionally left that out.
“What am I going to do?”She asked again.
Laura frowns when she realizes that truly she’s oblivious, with her eyes coming up to meet
her calm one she sighed, she shook her head once, letting her know it was inevitable.
“All I would say is , you can’t eat your cake and have it.,”
“I’ll tell him everything eventually, but not now-not tonight.”
The fact she hurt Damien was very upsetting enough to her. She doesn’t need to know how hurt he was as she braced him that evening.
Laura stands first, and she follows, she dust her hands feeling the thin sheet of silky material in her body.
“Cheer up, just find a way to talk with him ”
Her gaze is needy, and hungry. She was going on a rampage in her mind.
As they made their way out, the light of early morning began to fill the room where they were.
The both walked as fast as they could making way back to the party, Rhys face shone up immediately he saw her walking down the stair he could take his eyes off her .
He walked and took her hands.
“You look so beautiful.”He muttered to her.
Jealousy at that moment was a powerful testament, even no one in the room that he considered a threat, when someone touches what’s his, his emotions turns into a
putrid rage.
For Riley she could see all of it, she could feel it in her bones as she readied her mind for what would come next.
She looked outside the window, there the sky rages, the gray clouds were thick as the
the wind howls louder than usual, and the air is thick and gloomy.
In a way she wishes Damien would just walk in, and he did – Damienj turned his gaze to meeting hers.
