CHAPTER 25
Regardless, He presses on. There was that need for him to pacify her.
“She needed someone to stay with her, her fucking child was involved in an accident and you know if I didn’t show up she might start doubting that I feel anything for her.”
She looked round and sat on the chair with a , she let out the heavy breath she was holding.
“I am scared.” she insists, meeting his smirk with scornful eyes. “You need to give me more assurance that I won’t lose out of all of this you know”
He cupped her face and looked intensely in her eyes, he smiled sheepishly as she muttered. “There is nothing to fear, she is nothing but our ticket out for all of this.” He waves around.
” You are what I want, more beautiful too. ” He tickles her chin and she smiles. ” Just give me some time.”
She feels better after his word’s, her fears are eased.
“Are you still angry?” He asked.
“No, I am not,” she muttered, her dark eyes exasperated. “You can take as much time as you want, it is all for our benefits anyway.”
Not too far away from their table, Riley watches everything unfold, she always thought to herself that something was weird about the man those times she had seen him, she remained silent, stunned at the betrayal.
“Your latte’s ma’am.”
The waiter towered above her about to hand the latte to her. Startled, she hit the cups, spilling the drink over her .
Shrieking she draws attention to herself-
“I am sorry ma’am, would get you a napkin.” The waiter says with a hint of pity on his face.
“It is fine, I just need to get out of here.”
She’s not sure who she’s angrier at-The drinks that drenched her or the fact that she just caught Rian.
She shakes her head and walks out quickly, at which time Rian catches a brief view of her and excuses himself before going after her.
She hears herself sigh as she shuts the door behind, she walks in the dark alley oblivious of the menacing look in Rain eyes as she follows.
He had to fix this, before she said a word.

Riley dials her bosses number as she walks erratically, her heart paces faster.
“Pick up ma’am!” She kept on calling.
With the bustle of five minutes ago hitting her mind, she could feel herself dissolving slowly to a state of pungent mess.
The particular incident sends a thrill throughout her body, causing goosebumps to pebble on her pale flesh.
In her deep state, she is unaware of the squeaking steps that were coming from behind her.
With each step there was that feeling that she was being followed, Her legs burned from walking frantically in the dark and from the rate heart was beating fast.
Her shoes clack against the wet concrete floor as sweat drips down her neck-
Feeling kind of weird, she stops abruptly. It’s also eerily quiet except for the sound of the noisy cricket.
She scowls behind her with beady eyes. “Who is there?” She calls out, her voice raspy and irritated.
Riley eyebrows shoot to her forehead. At this time it became clear to her that was being followed.
There was no sign of anyone as it looked like she was just overthinking things, her pace increased, She clutched her phone in her hand and dial 911.
Just as she was turning round a bend she bumps into someone, and falls with her back to the floor.
She looked up as the moonlight shone on his face Illuminating the sinister smile he had on-The dark outline of his body shines in the dark.
“Going somewhere?” He muttered.
