THE CEO ALPHA KING
Chapter 21: His Rage

Writer’s POV
Facing the mall was a fancy English restaurant, so Kate suggested they go there to talk.

Isaac agreed, looking suspiciously at her as he sat down with her at a table.

“Since I brought you here, the bill is on me. What would you like to eat?” Kate asked, smiling softly.

“Nothing. I don’t want anything from you; please get to the reason you called me here.” Isaac frowned, pushing away the menu at the table.
Kate shifted uncomfortably, but the smile remained as she called for a waitress, who took her order of two bottles of red wine before leaving.
There was an awkward silence as they waited for the waitress to return, and when she did, she dropped it gently, along with two wine glasses, s, before leaving once more.
“So, are you going to open that?” Kate inquired as she opened the bottle and poured its red contents into her glass, her stern gaze fixed on Isaac, who remained silent. She sighed, pouring a glass for him, too.
“Cheers?” She took her cup to him, but he ignored her again, holding back his anger. She didn’t back down. She took her cup to him again, Isaac scowled before clicking his glass on hers. A victorious smile appeared on Kate’s lips as he gave in.
“So, you aren’t with Serena this time. I’ve seen you two together twice. At the mall.” Kate began swirling her wine in the cup.
“Just get straight to the point, Kate,” Isaac demanded impatiently.
“Do you like my sister? You know she is my sister, right?” Kate questioned, her eyes not leaving the cup in her hand.
“Of course I do. Our bond is very strong; we tell each other the truth.” She heard him drop his glass on the table before meeting his eyes. A fierce determination lay in those hazel eyes of his.
“You tell each other the whole truth? What has she been telling you about me then?” Kate inquired.
“You are the worst sister on earth. That you stink, that you are actually hiding an ugly face behind that heavy makeup and expensive designer wear.” Isaac grunted, a smirk lifting his lips when her expression turned to that of a shocked one.
She never really expected him to say things like that. Probably because Serena never spoke ill of anyone, irrespective of what the person might have done to her.
So where did he come up with all these assumptions about her?

Kate smiled, picking up her glass again and taking a sip before chuckling. Amusement danced in her eyes.
“The truth is, this won’t be the only time we get to meet like this again. I do see you often, Isaac.”
“I know you go to the mall almost every weekend. “Sometimes you come alone; sometimes you come with a taller blond guy; and sometimes you come with a red-haired girl or even a yellow-haired girl.” Kate started to say, pinning him with an amused stare, that Isaac had returned.
“Oh, I see. You’ve been watching me, so this isn’t about Serena, is it?” Isaac chuckled, leaning against the table with his face a few inches away from hers.
“Yes, it’s not about her,” Kate confirmed, smirking at him.

Isaac chuckled again, knowing where she was really headed. He could read Kate like an open book. As much as she tried to mask her emotions, he could see through the fake gleam in her eyes.
“So, you like me? Is that it?” Isaac inquired, shifting backward to relax in his seat, his smirk matching Kate’s.
“Sort of.” She replied, sipping her drink once more, her gaze not leaving Isaac as she watched him intently from the brim of her glass.
Issac laughed. This was interesting.

Should I just use this opportunity to teach her a lesson not to mess with Serena anymore?

Maybe I should, but I’ll do that once I get Serena out of the castle, we will move far away from here so she won’t notice that I’m taking revenge on her behalf.
But…
That part isn’t going to work. Let me be plain. I could embarrass her and then simply walk away, but that would be incredibly foolish.

But I can still do that. Isaac smirked, his gaze fixed keenly on the model.
“So, you want to date me? Did you even care to know if I’m dating your sister or not? You really don’t care, do you?” He asked, watching Kate drop her glass, her tongue running over her lips.

“I don’t.”
“Well, it’s a pity; Serena could have cared. She is very caring and lovely.” Isaac pouted playfully, but Kate only rolled her eyes.

“Please, can you stop mentioning her in our conversations?” Kate expressed her annoyance, her voice laced with frustration.
“Tell me why you hate her.”
“I.. hate her? Is that what she told you?” Kate asked in shock.
“Well, don’t you? Tell me, you hate your sister because your mom died giving birth to her. It’s ironic, isn’t it? That is simply the reason you couldn’t support her in anything she did. Every good opportunity that comes her way, you make sure to snatch it, constantly reminding her that she killed your mother.”
“But you forget that she was only a baby; she has no power whatsoever to harm. You forget that she also lost her mother and father. You neglect the fact that she was left as an orphan, with no one else in the world except for you, and yet you continue to abuse her. What kind of human does that to their own blood sister?”
“Wait.” “Are you even a human being? Human beings, according to my own description, are kind, forgiving, and loving. You aren’t a human, so what are you, Kate?”
“A young lady like you has so much hate in her heart. You thought I was your sister’s boyfriend; you wanted to snatch me away from her. So you could own everything, and she would have nothing.”
“Is that how you’ve been taking all her friends and true lovers away? Oh, I shouldn’t ask. That is what a lady with so much hate and envy in her heart will do.”
“Every time you make your sister cry. You blame her for something she doesn’t even know about. You don’t feel remorseful at all. Every time you see her broken, it makes you feel happy.”
“You knew you were the only one she had left, and you took advantage of it and broke every spirit she had, turning her into a puppet that obeyed your every command.” Isaac rushed his words, and a spark of anger ignited in his eyes, causing a few people to turn towards them, but he didn’t give a fuck about them or their thoughts.

“I’ve met a lot of ladies in my life, but I’ve never seen your type before. You are a devil, and I don’t want to get involved with you.”
“I love your broken sister more; I will help build her up and watch as you struggle so hard to get up to her level,” Isaac concluded before rising to his feet; he threw a wad of cash on the table before walking out of the restaurant without as much as a second glance.
Kate was dumbfounded as she watched Isaac leave, her lips frozen shut. She couldn’t speak, nor could she blink. Even when the tears started to run down her face, she didn’t blink them back or wipe them away.

She could feel the customer’s gaze, boring holes in her body, and shame filled her whole body.

King Zed was working comfortably in his castle’s office when he suddenly felt the urge to see Serena and have a taste of her coffee.

The first time he tasted the coffee she made, the taste reminded him of the tonic his mother used to make for him as a kid, years ago, when she was still alive.

He then mind-linked his Beta, Adam, and ordered the delivery of coffee to his office.
He received the reply that Serena wasn’t in at the moment, but someone else could make the coffee for him.

He frowned, refusing it, and asked that Serena be brought back to the castle at once.
Adam, upon receiving the order, sent the guard back to search the mini-mansion while he headed for Serena’s new room in case she was there.
After searching for twenty minutes and still not finding her, he requested that Isaac be called in. Adam had also heard the rumor that Serena was Isaac’s sister, he just didn’t bother to confirm it.

As Isaac started to head back to the estate, his phone rang in his pocket, snatching him from his train of thought. He looked at the caller’s ID and saw that it was Kendrick.
“Hey, man. Is Serena with you?” Kendrick asked while staring at the impatient Beta Adam who was glaring at him.
“Nope, any problem?” Isaac asked, taking a sharp turn as the estate came into view.
“Yes, there is. Your sister is nowhere to be found.” Kendrick revealed, sighing tiredly as he shifted his attention away from Adam.
Isaac pulled the car to a halt, pressing the phone against his ear as confusion filled his features.
“Wait, what?” He asked, not letting Kendrick respond before he spoke again.

“She’s not there? Then where is she? I’m sure I left her in her room earlier today. And even though I got back and didn’t see her there, I assumed she might have been with the Alpha.”

“No. No. The king never called her before, man. He only just asked of her recently, he requested coffee, but she isn’t around to make one. You need to get back here fast.” Kendrick concluded the call and turned back to Adam.
“Where the hell is this girl?” Adam glowed angrily, his eyes darting across the compound.
“It seems like the girl is hell-bent on making us suffer today.”

“Go to the CCTV room and check the footage of when she left her room and where she was headed next,” Adam ordered, leaving Kendrick to report back to the Alpha.

He got to his office and knocked; a tight knot formed at the pit of his stomach, and fear started to run down his spine.
“Come in!” He heard Alpha yell from the other side of the room.

“Where is she?” The Alpha growled, rising to his feet and taking a threatening step toward his Beta.
“We are trying to locate her, Your Highness. We don’t know where she went.” Adam replied in a shaky voice, stepping backward as the temperature in the room dropped.
“How is that possible? How can a little tiny wolf escape the guards?!” A deadly aura filled the room, almost choking the life out of Adam as King Zed got closer to him.

“Your Highness, we’ll find her; we’ll find her.” He promised.
“I’m giving you all 30 minutes to find her and bring her to me. 30 minutes!” King Zed deadpanned, turning his back to Adam, who quickly sprinted out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
Adam started to cough aggressively outside the room, briefly pausing when a drop of blood fell from his nose, and as he coughed into his hand, he noticed that he was not only bleeding through his nose but that he was also coughing out blood.
“Oh no, please. Not again.” He whispered, a hint of frustration in his tone.
The king’s deadly aura continued to fill the whole castle, weakening their beast as it did. He was angry, and everyone knew.

They trembled at their king’s anger; they feared they would die because he was so powerful, and if he didn’t control his emotions, their worst nightmare could come to pass.
And the demons in him could be set loose.
Adam went to the CCTV control room and demanded the collected footage. A computer screen displayed footage of Serena leaving her room.
“After Isaac left her room, she went to the garage a few minutes later.”

“There is no camera inside the garage, so we weren’t able to detect where she went next. However, the camera here shows that she hasn’t left the garage yet.”
“The guards are searching the garage right now too, but nothing.”
“Her scent is very weak over there.” Steve, a guard responsible for the CCTV, explained, pointing at the empty garage that housed all of the king’s luxurious cars.

“Then she must have sneaked into a car, the trunk, or something,” Adam reasoned, resting against the table to think.

“We suspected that too, but Isaac’s vehicle is the only one that left the castle,” Steve informed.
“Oh great! Isaac is her brother. Where is Isaac now?” Adam inquired, angrily pushing off the table.

“He just arrived at the castle a few minutes ago.”

“Bring him to me; he needs to answer a lot of questions,” Adam demanded before leaving the control room to the sitting room.

It was another minute before Isaac walked in, a confused look on his face as he searched the space for Serena.

“Your sister left here with you, Isaac, but the guards at the gate only saw you leaving. Does it mean that you sneaked her out or does this mean that she tricked and followed you out?” Adam demanded when Isaac’s gaze found him.
“I honestly don’t know. I’m as confused as you are.” Isaac answered as he continued searching the space with his eyes.
