Book:My happiness to you Published:2024-9-2

Growling deep in my throat, I stepped forward and pushed her against the wall, causing her to yelp in surprise. Noah, I
I leant forward and pressed my lips to hers, wanting so badly to taste her. As I invaded her mouth, she bit my bottom lip hard and I moaned, grabbing her ass and lifting her up. She wrapped her legs around me and I pushed my body against hers, giving her almost no room to move. I pulled back breathlessly, wanting to see her.
Her lips were slightly swollen and she was panting, staring at me with a fire in her eyes that got my pulse racing. I want you, she murmured, threading her fingers through my hair roughly. Now. Take me.
With pleasure, I growled, reaching down to undo my zipper.
And that’s exactly what I did.
Noah POV (The following morning) :
I leant against the wall and watched as Lily packed her things away in to the case. There was a look of sadness on her face and I could tell because I was feeling the same thing. We were leaving. It was time for us to go back to California and leave Michigan ; the place where I had never seen Lily looking so happy.
It broke my heart a little to leave my family, just like it did every time. Sighing loudly, I pushed off from the wall and walked over to Lily. Her back was to me so I stepped up close and wrapped my arms around her waist. When she leant in to me, I rested my head on her shoulder.
I’m going to miss this place, Lily said, placing her hands over mine as I hugged her close. There’s something special here.
I know, I whispered, kissing her lightly on the jaw. But we’ll come back soon. And that time we’ll stay for longer. Maybe once college is over.
I loosened my arms as she turned around and looked up at me. There was a glimmer of hope in her eyes and there was a ghost of a smile. I’d like that, she murmured, wrapping her arms around my neck. But before you bring me back, I think it’s only fair that you come to Indiana with me. I’ve met your family, and now it’s time for you to meet mine.
Really ? I grinned, a surge of happiness shooting through me at her words.
College boy, she smiled, Of course you have to meet them. After all, I have to show them the boy who’s made me fall in love with him.
I reached up and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Leaning down, I pressed my lips softly against hers, barely touching. There was something different about that moment, standing in my childhood room with Lily. Usually I felt desire or lust at being so close to her, but the only thing I felt was an overwhelming sense of calmness and love as I stared in to the beautiful grey eyes that I had fallen for.
Believe me, I said honestly. I still can’t understand why you did. You’re everything Lily, and yet you chose me…some idiot guy who didn’t have a clue that when he first saw you outside college that first day, that you were the girl for him.
She smiled up at me, bringing her face barely an inch away from mine. I could smell the familiar scent of her shampoo and I could feel her breath caressing my lips as she spoke. I’m not denying you weren’t an idiot, she laughed. But maybe I was the same. You know, before I went I promised myself I wouldn’t get close to anybody because everyone I do get close to ends up getting hurt. But then you came along, with your corny jokes and awful dress sense .
Hey, I have a good fashion sense, I mumbled, pressing my forehead against hers as she laughed again.
Don’t you get it ? She smiled, leaning back slightly so she was looking up at me. It’s everything about you Noah. It’s always going to be you.
As I stared down at her, I could feel my heart racing. I had known for a while how she felt about me but her words warmed me to the core. There was no-one else who could make me feel happier, and it just confirmed what I had thought yesterday. One day, I was going to marry this girl.
I’m glad you said that, I whispered against her lips. Because I can’t imagine being with anyone else. You’re it for me Lily.
I laughed as she threw her arms around me again and pushed her body against mine. Smiling, I wrapped my arms around her waist and hugged tightly as she buried her face in the crook of my neck. We stood there like that for a couple of minutes ; the feeling of being close to her affecting me like nothing else could.
Noah. Lily ? A voice suddenly asked from outside the door faintly. Can I come in ?
I dropped my arms reluctantly as Lily stepped away and glanced over my shoulder towards the door. The voice outside was immediately recognisable as my little brother’s, so I reached around and opened the door. JJ was standing there in his Spiderman pyjamas, considering it was still so early in the morning.
Hey there little man, I smiled, picking him up and resting him on my hip. He wrapped his legs around me and rested his head on my shoulder sleepily. What’re you doing up ? Lily and I were going to come in and say goodbye before we left.
I don’t want you to go, he cried, his eyes beginning to water as he buried his face in my neck. Please don’t leave. You can stay here and we can go swimming.
I rested my head on top of his and closed my eyes. There were few things that could make me cry, but seeing my baby brother crying was one of them. Leaving him got more difficult each time and I knew one day, I probably wouldn’t be able to. Stroking his messy blonde hair, I felt Lily step up beside me and put her hand on JJ’s knee.
I opened my eyes and watched as JJ glanced at her, the tears now streaming down his face. We have to go buddy, she smiled sadly. But we’ll be back soon. And when we are, it’ll be for longer and then we can go swimming everyday, right Noah ?
Absolutely, I nodded, as JJ sniffed and wiped his nose. I tried to ignore the fact that he had wiped it on my shirt. We’ll definitely go swimming everyday. And when I’m back, we’re going to cover your room with glow in the dark stars, just like mine.
I pointed at the ceiling and JJ looked up, grinning when he saw the sheer number stuck up there and all over the walls. Really ? he asked, his tears drying. We can do that ?
Yeah we’re going to do it, I grinned, glancing over at Lily who was watching us with a smile. And Lily’ll be there to help us. The three of us will cover your room in stars, you’ll see.
JJ stretched out his arms and reached over to Lily. I passed him over and stared as she settled him on her hip and put her arms around him. You promise you’ll come, he asked, staring up at her.
Wouldn’t miss it, buddy, she smiled, ruffling his hair. I’m already counting down the days.
Are you going to marry my brother ? He suddenly blurted, causing Lily to blush bright red and look up at me with a look of confusion and panic crossing her face, as if what he’d just said could affect the way I felt about her.
I, um. It’s not that, Uh Lily stuttered, struggling to find whatever she was trying to say.
Seeing she was struggling, I reached out and took hold of JJ, placing him on the floor. Getting on one knee in front of him, I placed my hand on his shoulder and smiled. Go downstairs and go and get some breakfast with mum and dad. We’ll be down in a minute.
Ok, he nodded, walking out of the bedroom with no idea about how he had just made Lily so flustered.
Standing up, I turned around and stepped over to Lily who was still standing in the same spot, her cheeks flame red. Her eyes were wide and she gulped as I tilted her chin up so she would have to look up at me. She looked in to my eyes and seemed to snap out of whatever she was feeling. Please don’t freak out about what JJ just said, she begged, grabbing on to my arms. It was just a question and we don’t even have to answer it. I mean
What makes you think I’m freaking out ? I interrupted, smiling at her as she looked up at me with those grey eyes. If anything, the one freaking out is you.
