Rosiley looked at the depressed Yayoi and explained the situation for her, “Yayoi took leave today. When you invited us out, she was at my place, so we came together.”
She was unsure if Yayoi was willing to share her matter with Morphy to Xiaoxiao, and hence she hid that fact.
After receiving thankful glances from Yayoi, Rosiley knew that she had made the right decision.
It would be troublesome if more people were aware of such matters.
Otherwise, with Xiaoxiao’s personality, she might rush to fight Morphy after finding out about this matter, complicating it further.
Even though it wasn’t ideal to hide such a matter from Xiaoxiao, she knew that it was what Yayoi wanted.
Ying Xiaoxiao didn’t suspect her as she nodded. “Oh, so that’s why.”
Then, she walked in between them and held their hands. “Come on, let’s choose a satisfactory desk. I will treat you to a sumptuous meal tonight.”
At this juncture, Rosiley realized that something was amiss. She examined her attire and frowned. “Your dress code today is… antique style?”
Yayoi noticed it too and examined her with confusion.
Ying Xiaoxiao smiled embarrassingly. “It’s an antique style. Yes, antique style, antique style.”
“Really?” Rosiley frowned. “Not only is this an antique style, but it’s also super unfashionable…” She paused and frowned even further, full of disgust. “I don’t even know how to describe it.”
“No, I think it’s fine. Look, don’t I look intelligent?”
Ying Xiaoxiao turned around to show off her attire.
“Look intelligent? She must be joking!”
Rosiley almost laughed out loud as she mocked her mercilessly. “This is not an intelligent look! It’s an old and traditional look that’s super unfashionable!”
Ying Xiaoxiao’s lips curled downward in disappointment. She turned to Yayoi and asked, “Yayoi, do you think so too?”
“Uh…” Yayoi was hesitant in choosing her words before she said, “Xiaoxiao, dressing like this doesn’t show your advantageous figure anymore, how can Mr. Lu notice you otherwise?”
Yayoi’s last sentence was muffled, hence Ying Xiaoxiao didn’t hear her clearly. “Yayoi, what was your last sentence? I didn’t hear you clearly.”
Even though she didn’t hear Yayoi’s words, Rosiley heard them.
“Yayoi said that she was worried that your strange fashion style might scare men away.”
After saying that, she and Yayoi could not hold back their laughter.
However, Ying Xiaoxiao considered what they said seriously, with a solemn expression on her face.
Seeing that, Rosiley and Yayoi rushed over and pulled her by the hand toward the furniture wholesale warehouse.
“Stop thinking about it. Buy a desk and treat us to a meal!” Rosiley said.
“Rosiley, do you think that a man focuses more on your appearance or personality?” Ying Xiaoxiao asked.
“Men love women who are excellent in both her personality and appearance, like…”
As she spoke, Rosiley stopped, forcing her two friends to stop as well. They stared at her in confusion, unsure about why she suddenly stopped.
She smiled proudly before continuing, “Me! I am a woman who is excellent both in personality and appearance.”
The atmosphere suddenly got silent and awkward.
Ying Xiaoxiao and Yayoi stared at her for a short while before they walked forth together.
“I know a brand of office desk that is both elegant and cheap.”
“Really? Bring me there then.”
They walked ahead, leaving Rosiley behind.
Rosiley looked at them and sighed. “My Sachin is indeed the one who appreciates me the most.”
Seeing that they were walking farther and farther away, she rushed to catch up to them.
