“It seems only Eleanor Mason survived. Additionally, up to now, no one from the Hojo Clan or Tanner family has come out,” Maniwa Koken said.
“Is that so?” Yota Koken’s eyes flashed sharply.
Yota Koken knew that when the cold wave erupted in the Enchanted Realm, they were among the last to come out. If the Hojo Clan and Tanner family members hadn’t come out by now, they were likely in trouble inside the Enchanted Realm.
“Master Yota, look, the Werewolves are coming out too!” Maniwa Koken pointed at the spatial rift.
Yota Koken turned to see the Werewolves of the Modock Family rushing out from the Enchanted Realm entrance. Shortly after Augustus and his group emerged, the Coleman family members also started coming out. Along with them were three golden eagles; the other four had perished in the Enchanted Realm.
After escaping from the Enchanted Realm, the three golden eagles carried all the Coleman family members and landed on a nameless island not far from the spatial rift.
Seeing the Coleman family, Oliver’s face turned icy as he said to Augustus, “Augustus, that’s the Atrarian Martial Clan that attacked us!”
“Once I consume the Everlife Fruit and grow beyond ten meters tall, I will personally visit Atraria and annihilate that Martial Clan!” Augustus declared fiercely. “This place is not safe for long. Oliver, let’s go.”
Oliver nodded, leading his men to follow Augustus towards a luxurious cruise ship.
On the island, Holden Coleman pointed at Augustus and his group, saying, “Patriarch, those Werewolves are still alive.”
Donovan also saw Augustus and his group, a murderous intent flashing in his eyes.
“Patriarch, should we chase them down and…” Elder Frederick knew well that leaving enemies alive could lead to future troubles.
After a moment of thought, Donovan shook his head. “No, we are not in good condition now. If we fight the Werewolves, it could end in mutual destruction, giving others a chance to take advantage.”
Donovan knew that many martial forces saw him obtain the Everlife Fruit in the Enchanted Realm. If he got injured fighting the Werewolves, others might covet the Everlife Fruit.
Harrison understood Donovan’s thoughts and added, “The Patriarch is right; now is not the time to deal with the Werewolves.”
Violet, however, was not concerned about the Werewolves. Her beautiful eyes scanned around worriedly. “Dad, Leo doesn’t seem to have come out.”
Donovan had been searching for Leo since escaping the Enchanted Realm but couldn’t find him. Since Leo wasn’t near the spatial rift, he was likely still inside the Enchanted Realm.
Harrison also looked at the spatial rift, feeling a bit worried.
“Violet, don’t worry too much. You’ve seen Leo’s strength; he should be fine,” Holden Coleman couldn’t help but say.
“We’ll wait on this island for Leo to come out before returning to our family base,” Donovan decided.
The rest of the Coleman family had no objections. They each found a suitable place on the island to sit and rest or train while waiting for Leo to emerge from the Enchanted Realm.
In mid-air, no more spiritual energy flowed out of the massive spatial rift; instead, cold air began to pour out. The surrounding fish and seabirds scattered immediately. As more cold air gathered, snowflakes started falling around.
Violet’s worry deepened as she watched the spatial rift.
On the sea surface, aboard a United States research vessel.
“Welcome back, great warriors of the United States,” Brody said with a smile, extending his hand to Captain Vincent.
As Brody’s right hand touched Vincent’s right hand, Brody shuddered as if electrocuted and quickly withdrew his hand. The brief contact made Brody’s right hand feel icy cold as if sprayed with liquid nitrogen.
“Vincent, your hand…” Brody said in surprise.
Vincent quickly used his internal energy to dispel the cold air he had absorbed in the Enchanted Realm and apologized to Brody. “General Brody, sorry, I was affected by the cold air from the spatial rift.”
“Look, it’s snowing!” Dr. Caden exclaimed, looking up at the snowflakes falling from the sky in surprise.
Brody extended his right hand; snowflakes fell on it like white fluff. He quickly felt the temperature around him drop as if it had suddenly turned from summer to winter.
“Captain Vincent, what exactly happened inside the spatial rift?” Brody asked curiously as he retracted his hand.
Vincent shook his head. “I’m not entirely sure. The spatial rift seems to lead to an alternate dimension, a small world of its own.”
“While we were exploring inside, a terrifying cold wave suddenly erupted for some reason. Everything in its path was frozen. My team and I barely escaped.”
Recalling the terrifying scene of the cold wave’s eruption still sent chills down Vincent’s spine. If they had been slower in escaping, they might have been permanently frozen inside the spatial rift.
“The sudden snowfall is likely caused by the cold wave pouring out from the spatial rift,” Vincent concluded. “The temperature around the spatial rift is still dropping; we can’t stay here any longer.”
The rapidly dropping temperature soon made Brody feel uncomfortable. He tightened his clothes and ordered a soldier, “Prepare to set sail!”
“We can’t leave yet; my research on the spatial rift isn’t complete!” Dr. Caden protested.
Brody’s expression tightened as he said, “Dr. Caden, it’s no longer suitable for research here. Besides, Captain Vincent and his team have already collected many samples from inside. We must leave!”
Brody could no longer endure the continuously dropping temperature.
Seeing Caden still unmoved and stubborn, Brody had no choice but to order a soldier: “Escort Dr. Caden into the cabin and prepare to set sail!”
“Yes, General Brody!”
The shivering soldier quickly obeyed.
Though unwilling, Caden had no choice but to comply under the threat of two fully armed soldiers.
The temperature continued to drop; snowflakes began turning into ice crystals.
Soon, not only did Brody’s research vessel start moving but other ships also began to evacuate.
The sea surface below the spatial rift began freezing over. These ships were not icebreakers; if they delayed any longer, they might get trapped in ice.
Over half an hour later, there wasn’t a single ship or yacht left in the waters around the spatial rift.
