Luciano had barely finished knotting his tie when Amara rushed into his office. He had left the room for Gio and her so he can at least get a good still without being strangled.
The look on his face was priceless when Amara run into his arms and hugged his waist. At first, he didn’t want to answer her so he still walked to look at his outfit through the reflection of his glass window.
Even as he walked about the room, Amara dragged her toes on the ground as she held him, her weight resting on her Dad’s waist. She kept blabbing over what no one could understand.
Seeing that he is prepared and set to attend a party, Lu tapped his daughter’s hand but she didn’t do anything. She just hugged him tight, as tight as his belt, and kept complaining about what no one can explain.
“I have to go now” Lu tried to be reasonable.
“It’s late already” Amara complained “Who attends a party at night anywhere?” She left his waist and sat on the floor.
Her blue eyes stared into his, she was giving the kind of puppy eyes that no one would be able to turn down. Her lips form pouts and she placed both hands together and tried to give the fakest smile.
Instantly, Lu knew there was something she wants so bad to make her display her precious puppy eyes. With the deepest frown on his face, he went on a knee and placed his left palm on her head.
“What is it, princess?” He tried to fake his smile too but she wasn’t buying it “Amara?” He raised his voice “What do you want?”
“I want to go with you” she placed both hands on her thighs as she smiled, exposing her missing gap teeth.
For a moment Luciano stared at her like she had grown extra heads. His gaze locked with her as if he was trying to think if he should let her follow him or not.
“Hell no!” He blurted out.
“Daddy?” Amara pouts harder, there is no way a stone-hearted person would be able to resist her eyes “Please daddy!” She begged.
Lu stood up and walked away from her, he turned back to meet the same gaze and he groaned.
“Those eyes can’t work now!” He said bluntly “But I can get you a big ice cream plate on my way back” he grinned but she already had a huge frown plastered on her face “What about cotton candy?” He suggested but there was still that deep frown “How about Daddy gets to tell you another creepy bedtime story tonight!”
Amara beamed, her cute smile was from ear to ear. Like light, she rushed up and feet, before Lu could brace himself, her arms were firmly wrapped around her father’s throat. She pressed her lips on his chin and hugged him again.
“I still want the ice cream and cotton candy,” She said.
“Not fair!” Lu pretend to frown as he walked out of the office with her “Then no bedtime story” he cringe a little.
With her legs wrapped around his torso and her hands now on his shoulders, Amara lean backward to see his face. Her lips curved into a weird smile and she hugged him back without saying a word.
“Amara, what did you do?” Lu asked unsurely.
“I kissed Gio” She blurted out.
Luciano stopped in his tracks, his right palm holding the back of her neck and head as he pulled her back. She still had the naughty smile on his face and there was something else. Her cheeks were red, not just red from heat, pain, or something else.
She was blushing really hard for the boy.
“You kissed Gio?” He asked to be sure.
“Yes!”
“What did he do?” Lu asked, it was obvious he is getting some emotional feelings he could not tell “Did he kiss you back?” He intoned.
The smile vanished from his daughter’s face as look. Away and hugged her father again.
“He didn’t kiss me” she sniffed “He said I should wait till we grow ” she began to cry.
Although Lu felt extremely happy but he did not let it show. He just hug the girl and kissed her back.
The happiness he was feeling was more than he could imagine, at least, the little boy approves of him and Alita getting married. Even when he did not say it out, he knows the boy want them together and he was dying to hear it and see it happen.
His smile fade as he got closed to his car packed outside, he dropped Amara after kissing her head. Gio stood beside Jordan talking about random things and when they saw him, they stopped what they were doing.
His hot gaze homed on Gio for a while as he began to wish for what can never happen.
He wishes Gio was his son, he would be the first child while Amara is the second. Definitely, Alita would be the mother and whenever she goes to their school, she would make sure to kick lots of asses before coming back.
“Let’s go Jordan” he yelled as he entered the car.
He had barely rested before Jordan jumped him. His elbow hit his jaw as the boy tried to settle his bag in his lap. The annoying thing there is, Jordan didn’t act like he knew he elbowed Lu seconds ago for there was his signature smile on his face.
“Ready?” The chauffeur asked.
Lu nodded Slightly, his gaze was still on Jordan who had refused to say anything. Mere looking at it, even if the boy should say anything, nothing would change. Not even the fact that he just got elbowed on his jaw by the most annoying boy on earth.
His hands went around his no as he searched his pocket. His gaze narrowed as he wondered where he had kept what he is looking for.
Not so far from the main gate, Lu asked the driver to stop which he did. He turned to Jordan and smiled, not really a nice one, it was a toothless one.
“I am sorry okay,” Jordan said immediately, he doesn’t seem to like such a smile “I was trying to arrange my bag, I never knew when my elbow you know….” He trailed off.
Lu was more than surprised as he watch the boy, the funny part of it is that the boy even knew his fault and refused to say anything. He was actually telling his chauffeur to stop so Jordan can run to his office and grab his phone form on top of the table.
“I wasn’t going to talk about this but since you knew” he paused to swallow saliva “First Go to my office and bring me any of my Mask”
His expression is as clueless as Jordan hates. The young man had no choice but to tremble like a wet leaf as he fumbled to open the door.
It was initially Jordan’s idea to wear a mask since the party was changed to a mask party and the objective was to get to Arianna without being noticed. As usual, his tattoo was covered as interlocked his fingers and waited for Jordan that seems to be spending centuries before coming back.
“I accidentally stumbled on Amara and you know how annoying she could be” Jordan complained as he entered the car back with the mask, his expression change as he meet Lu’s stern face “Oh!” He blinked “She is too adorable that I always want to eat her up!” He grinned.
Lu still didn’t do anything as he stared at his watch and Jordan’s face. He looked forward to the driver who seems to be the bored person in their midst.
“Make sure to switch off the cameras once we arrive” was the last the Lu said before the car drove off.
Normally, he would have said something or wanted to strangle the young man, Lu realized wasting energies on him is not necessary. So what he has to do now would be in his mind, but till then, they have Zeno’s daughter Party to attend.
