One week has past and Alita have not heard from Rocco, the great thing is she hasn’t set her eyes on Lu since the night she went out with him.
Maybe he has finally got sick of her.
She couldn’t believe he had made her drink almost more than half of the tequila and act like he was having fun with it. Something about his strange looks worried her.
And she fear for her life.
The way he had stared at her when she came out in the red dress looking like a hoe, he looked at her like she belong to him. The way he touched her and kissed her, he didn’t have to fight for dominance for he had it forcefully, by getting a strong grip of her neck and she had no option than to kiss back.
Her knees melt as she recalls the way he had kissed her, his lips rough but smooth like he had practiced how he did kiss her. The way his long fingers stroll through her body sends fear and pleasantness, reminding her of the last time she had to meet a man and how long she has needed them.
She recalls the way he hold her jaw at the party and the looks in his eyes when Zeno touched her. It was like that of a mother-cat, fighting for her baby without making a sound. Even when Zeno’s hungry eyes roam around her exposed body, he let her curl herself and held in his arm.
Still yet, she feels happy that she hasn’t seen him in a week and his useless feelings will get to die. After all, he had done nothing but harm her, deprived her of her joy, and locked her up, instructing everyone never to tell her the location.
For the sixth time that day, she scrolls down her little list of contact finding who to call to keep her busy. Since Gio’s contact is there, it definitely means Lu had given him back his phone or must have gotten a new phone for him.
Who knows?
Sitting on her bed in her new room, she began to imagine the kind of work Lu does that fetch him all this money to pay his task and pays dozens of mean-looking men. Although she felt they might be bad men dealing with drugs and human beings but she wasn’t sure about it.
She might as well be sure when Rocco talked about Selling her to one Enzo so he wouldn’t kill her, she touched her neck and sigh, she is well, soon or later she would be taken out to see her new master. Something else makes her feel like Lu wants to keep using her for collateral damage, for he should have sold her out to his uncle, Zeno, who offered Gold, money, or drugs.
She has heard Mafia, common in Italy, Us, and random romance novels she had read so far. She had even browsed about them to see they also lock humans to sell as slaves, they deal with drugs openly and kill whosoever gets on their way not kidnap a poor girl struggling to survive with her brother.
In annoyance, she dropped the phone and began to walk around the room. For the first time in a whole week, she discovered it has similar designs to Lu’s room just small in everything. Dull colors, soft comfy but small bed, a couch, a picture of Lu, the same one in his room, but no television.
Her set of clothes were always bigger than hers and at times faded. It seems like dozens of girls must have been through the same position and had to wear the same clothes. The embarrassing part is that the pants and bras are always new and her perfect size, it’s either pink and comfy or purple Lingerie.
“This can’t be happening” she slapped her forehead “I can just be kidnapped by a fucking pervert who takes me for A COLLATERAL DAMAGE!” she yelled.
She pulled her hair and screamed. Nothing can hold her now because she is losing it.
“I can’t take it anymore,” She said to herself “I did nothing wrong, he killed him” she sniffed “He killed my Ricardo. FUCK YOU ALL!!”
She filled her mouth with air and let them out slowly, through a small opening in her lips. She threw herself face-down on the bed and began to cry.
She misses Ricardo even though he hits her and never loved her, she missed dancing as a stripper, she missed playing games with Gio, she missed being free, and always working her life out until she comes back broken and limping.
She picked up her phone and dialed Gio’s number. It didn’t ring twice before Gio answered the call giggling and breathing heavily.
“What game were you playing?” She asked suggesting that it would be a good way to make a child giggle.
“I don’t know what it is called” Gio replied “But Amara and I would hide then Lu would come to find us if he does find her first, she takes over the same to everyone”
Lu? Unthinkable!
Alita couldn’t believe Lu playing with kids, not when he had the straight face that show nothing but evil. His voice could have made the kids scared but instead, they were happy with him, Gio even forgot about her.
He is trying to make the kids like him so it would be easy to sell them!
“Sorella?” Gio called “Are you there?”.
