Zeno lean back, he dropped the cup, and clenched his fist, trying to contain his anger.
“Have you all come to do something other than the celebration of my daughter?” He asked.
Alita trembled, she looked at Lu who had his eyes glued to the cup Zeno dropped. She couldn’t read minds but with the look on Lu’s face, he was trying to consider giving Alita the drink or not.
She pulled close to his sleeves and held his right hand, tears filled her eyes as she blinked once to let them flow freely, burying her head in his arm. She felt someone’s hand on her head and she flinched, she didn’t want to move for the fear of what the person might do to her so she stay still.
Zeno couldn’t contain his suspense, his stare locked in Lu’s palm on Alita’s head and she seems to calm to his touch. He filled his glass and wait to see what Lu would do.
“You promised to be a good girl,” Lu said, he raised her head and welcome her scared eyes with the filled glass of Tequila “All of it” he ordered.
With her shaking hands, Alita took the cup and lifted it to her lips, she took a sip from it and returned the cup.
Lu frowned, he filled the cup and locked his gaze with her. His left hand went under her hair and he pulled at her earrings.
“Daddy says all of it,” he said.
He watched as she gulped everything and gave the cup back to him. His gaze locked with Zeno as he filled the glass again and forced Alita to drink from it, which she did drink all of it like a good girl.
“She is so adorable” Zeno whispered, getting engrossed in watching Alita cry and force herself to take the six cup “How many can she take?”
Lu stared deep into Alita’s green eyes that now look sleepy, he Smirked, his palm under her jaw as he turned her to face Zeno sharply.
He filled the cup again with his free hands and brought it close to Alita’s face.
“Let’s find out,” he said as got hold of the diamond petals, his middle finger touching her lips while the thumb and index caress the Bloody diamond.
“Now!” Lu ordered, Alita drank from it and gave the rest to him “All of it” He said gently.
she hesitated, her eyes stormy and her throat hoarse, she held her hand over her lips and whimpered.
Her eyes jolt open as she felt Lu press the button on the Diamond, sending a shocking sensation all around her body. She haven’t been able to swallow the last drop when the siren began to blow, sending everyone in the room in commotion.
Zeno flinched, he stared dreadfully into Lu’s eyes and roar. He’s banged the table and sprang out the room, pushing everyone that comes his way as he followed the trace to the front door.
There a beautiful girl stood still shaking, her heels making a scraping noise as her lips quiver, her eyes glued to the green dots on her body and she look as white as death.
Many guards stood beside her, their guns down as Zeno rushed to her, he stood in front of her and raised his hands.
“You don’t have to do this” he yelled as if he could see who he was talking to.
In fact, nobody knew who they were, not even Lu who had Alita over his left shoulder. His right hand held her shoes as her hair pour over her face.
He kept watching the directions of where the green lights seemed to come from, mere looking at Zeno’s chest and all over his body, they were more than twenty.
Soon the guest began to run in different directions, evading the area where the green lights covered. Guards cover their masters as they escape in their luxurious rides.
Not long, it remains just Zeno’s men, Lu with Alita on his shoulder, Zeno in front of the girl, and two of Lu’s men.
“You don’t fucking have to hide behind guns,” Zeno said angrily, he made sure to cover the girl and smirked “Luciano!!???!” He yelled.
Lu frowned, he looked at Zeno like the old man had grown extra head and grinned.
“This is not funny, Luciano Alonso” Zeno said he stepped away from his daughter who immediately starts to shiver like a wet Chicken “Don’t make me do this Son”
Zeno pointed at two of his men who immediately picked up their guns and aim them at Lu. Lu’s men which are Stefano and Luca in return brought out their guns and faced them at Zeno.
“What do you want, Luciano?” Zeno asked a bit calm, he noticed the grin on Lu’s face and got pissed “You don’t have to use my daughter as a brat”
Zeno pointed at his daughter who was already on the ground, he yelled, rushed to her, and hugged her.
“Sleep baby” he became calm “Daddy will get you to your room before you wake up”
He left Arianna and walked to Lu, he connects the back of his palm to Lu’s cheek. He slapped him again and spat on his face, but there was just a sly smirk on Lu’s face.
“Stop this fucking ACT!!” He yelled.
Lu remain still, frustration written all over his face, he dropped Alita’s shoes to get hold of Zeno’s wrist before the man could slap him again.
“Even if I have a plan, I wouldn’t be involved in the outbreak, ” Lu said, he let go of Zeno’s hand and sigh “We should have been family, Uncle. Even when you killed your brother my father, I wouldn’t want to kill you”
Zeno stepped aside he went back to his previous position and waved.
“What the fuck do you want?” He yelled he turn to Lu, and his facial expression changed “Your chest!”
Lu looked down slowly to see the mark of the sniper on his chest, not just one, three! With the way the dots were positioned, one would go to his heart, the other his lungs while the last one somewhere around his ribs cage.
“Would I also want to shoot myself if I am into this?” His voice was dreadful.
Slowly, he lowered the sleeping Alita off his shoulders to the floor, He made a huge mistake by dipping his left hand into his pocket and the unexpected happened.
A loud shot rushed past one of Zeno’s men and hit Luca in his left thigh, the man yelled and fell. He held his leg with one hand and loosened his tie with the other and tied it beside the wound, adding pressure to it.
Zeno’s skin loses color and became white, he looked at Lu who had the same dreadful expression. He nodded towards his men who lowered their weapons having known that Lu had no hand in the operation.
“What the fuck is going on?” Lu yelled, he looked at Luca who still lay on the ground groaning.
For what seemed like a whole five minutes, they all stood still in the cold, Alita almost as white as a corpse same as they look on the faces of the rest men. If they truly have no idea of who the enemies are, they would as well be dead within the twinkle of an eye.
Lu suddenly winced, he looked around as he wait to hear where the noise had come from but they all remained silent, only soft snoring sounds from Alita as she lay half-frozen on the floor.
“Boss!” Rocco said again Into Lu’s earbuds “We have them”
“What are you waiting for?” His whisper was harsh, he noticed the rest men stared at him skeptically and he faked a yawn “Now!” He fumbled with his word.
Relief spread through Lu as he bent down to carry Alita back. This time in a bridal style and he kissed on top of her slightly parted lips.
“This is where we call it a day” He smiled at Zeno.
Before Zeno could suppress his distrust, Lu bowed little and there went a disturbing explosion.
The first floor at the roof of the fifth building opposite them exploded, sending pieces of brick, glass, and iron flying in different directions.
Cars began to evade around the building same as people passing by, the commotion became much as it would have been even if Lu have warned them before ordering his man.
From where Zeno stood, he could see someone, falling or trying to jump down the building with fire on him, he should be that he or she is someone that could have survived. Poor soul, couldn’t even get to reach the ground before a stray broken glass Pierced through his forehead to the back of his head and he became dead before his body fall lifelessly.
