What did you gain from that outing? Try not to come looking for her any longer.” Miss Lu said, sounding threatening.
I knew there and then that she didn’t tell me all of it and it was left for me to find it all out myself.
I made up my mind to find out the creepy secret that was hidden in this pack.
I let that skip my mind knowing fully well I wouldn’t want to dwell on it.
I made my way straight to the toilet and deposited all the waste in my body system. I came out looking refreshed and remembered I hadn’t taken my share of the brownies I smelt.
I rushed into the kitchen and found Miss Lu in there also. The kitchen has always been an essential part of her life. She never got tired of being there.
“Miss Lu” I called when I got into the kitchen
She looked up and noticed me
“Red, dear, come have your brownies,” she said
I stalked a chair out and sat waiting for her to serve mine.
“Thanks, Miss Lu,” I said as she served me
Miss Lu smiled and nodded toward me
I scooped a little of the brownies into my mouth and tasted the fudgy taste brownies always had brought her’s tasted better
“This tastes as good as it looks ” I complimented
“Um… it always does ” Miss Lu replied with a broad smile that showed how gorgeous her green eye was
“Yeah, it does ” I smiled in return
I went back to my room and looked at the bump in my stomach. I remembered that night and the pleasures I felt, not even knowing who I spent the night with fully. I feel like it was just a one-night stand but it was worth it.
I feel like I had a life before, I just feel a very strong bond between me and that stranger and a very strong attachment. I don’t know what it is though.
I walked into the bathroom as I wanted to relieve myself from the stress of the day and look forward to tomorrow. I opened the shower and let the cool water wash off the thinking of me and fill me with joy.
I waited for Lorelai at our usual spot at the riverside. I still thought about what I heard Miss Lu whisper to her, why on earth would Miss Lu not want her around me?
“Is Lorelai a bad person? “I asked myself.
Having no one to answer, I just sat quietly playing with the water. I heard footsteps and I hurriedly looked towards the doorway and saw Lorelai coming towards me. I gestured towards her waving my hands.
“Hi Lorelai,” I said quickly
“Good morning ” she replied
“How are you feeling? ” Lorelai asked
“I’m feeling good this morning….. just craving for morning work, I think my waist is going to get hooked as a result of too much sitting,” I said teasingly as I smiled
“Ummm… okay . Let me help you up”.
Lorelei came forward and helped me get up to my feet
“Where do we walk to? She asked ”
Knowing I wasn’t familiar with the places around here, I wanted her to choose a place with good tidings and atmosphere.
“Anywhere with a good alluring atmosphere” I explained
“Okay… we could walk through the common shelter toward the Newcastle and forward into the pack.”Lorelai gave her opinion and I was pleased with it
“It sounds fun ” I squealed loudly while Lorelai gave a slightly confusing smile
I don’t even know if she smiles wholeheartedly or not but I know I would truly have a great time as we go for our walk which I consider a tour around the pack.
We started walking towards the common shelter and she showed me some sculptures of the ancient house of Newcastle, there were a lot of sculptures with meanings that differ
Some were for the older Alpha who ruled in the Dulva pack.
“Lorelai “I called out
“What is this moon sculpture?”I asked waiting earnestly for a quick reply which I presume would be a long one.
“This is the blood moon sculpture it all started 600 years ago when we were attacked by Skull the most powerful wolf pack at that time which resulted in blood tears curses and vengeance to Save us supreme lord Scott used the blood moon sculptures to gain unlimited power but also at the cost of his life. ” Lorelei replied in full details
“Ummm….. I guessed that happened a very long time ago
600 years and this sculpture still exists here” I replied
“Yes it signifies victory over the most powerful wolf in the pack” Lorelei stated.
We moved toward another sculpture and she continued with the explanation about the book
And we made our way to the pack where everyone lived.
“Lorelei, where have you been? Fredy have been looking for you throughout the pack you shouldn’t have forgotten that your shift is today to scout around the blue flower Lilly ” asked one of the guards scouting around the blue flower Lilly
“Shit… I forgot about that .. Lorelei cursed out loud ”
“Sorry to end our tour like this, Red” Lorelei apologized genuinely
” But we will continue it another time, I have something important to attend to… why not let us continue it tomorrow, how does that sound?
Why don’t you let me tag along with you since I have nothing else to do I said.
Okay… I don’t see a problem with that but please don’t get in my way, you will do and act absolutely to every word I say, Is that clear? Lorelei said
Okay,’ no problem. I’ll do and act according to whatever you say ” I said as we both started working side by side.
Where are we going? I asked since we had been working for the past 35 minutes or so and the deeper we walked the more spooky and narrow the road got and the more trees and birds cried can be heard.
With every step I took my heart pounded furiously as sweat dripped down my face.
” You don’t need to be nervous we will soon reach Blue Flower Lilly, and by then your mind will be at peace” Lorelei tried to calm me down.
“What’s a blue flower, Lilly? I asked with so much curiosity in me just to clear my doubts ”
“hmm…it’s a flower that helps wolves through their brake through it they want to access into alpha stages. It helps make them have a smooth breakthrough, but seeing that one-third of the blue flower mysteriously disappears overnight that’s why the clan leader assigned teams to watch over the blue flower Lilly overnight.
Which is also divided into 4 parts east, west, south and north but our ratio tonight is around the south.” Lorelei tried to explain bringing my doubts to an end.
“Here, take this” Lorelei said as she handed a blue-like potion to me’ I took it subconsciously and looked directly at the content in it and couldn’t identify what it was.
“What’s this? I asked since the liquid in the bottle was giving out a wired kind of sent.”
“The liquid which I gave you is called CLOUD MIST. It helps to make you see more clearly and helps your breathing since the air surrounding the blue flower Lilly is poisonous. You should drink it quickly before we get there.” Lorelei said
Looking at the liquid in my hand once more a lot of doubt aroused inside my tiny heart and my heart began to pound subconsciously all over again as if I was getting into a fight with a wild animal.
I swallowed hard on my saliva before opening the bottle I emptied the whole bottle inside my mouth leaving no drop left in the bottle.
“Argh I feel dizzy” I said I held tightly to my head and chest while coughing out loud
“What’s happening to me? Why do I feel funny? “I asked as I looked at Lorelei who just watched me go through the effects of the liquid.
Unable to hold me any longer I fell flat on the ground with my eyes rolled backwards.
“Red…. Red wake up” Lorelei said as she shook my body violently before I slowly regained consciousness.
“How long was I out? I asked as I slowly managed to regain back my composure.”
” 2 to 3 minutes, I think” Lorelei said as helped me up and we started walking.
“We better hurry if we want to get there on time,” Lorelei said as she quickened her pace and I hurriedly followed behind.
Silence once again returned to our mist as we both walked towards a very bright light which shone like that of a moon.
I was looking at the full moon up in the sky which cast its magnificent light upon the forest painting everything along its way sliver. While I was busy admiring the moon Lorelei stopped in her steps also making a stop also
“Why did we stop? Evelyn asked while looking at the end of the road this is a dead end how are we supposed to cross this?
“Shhhh….” Lorelei said as she began to smoothly sing a strange but touching song which in return the dead end at their front immediately began to shine on till a bright light instantly blinded them.
After a while, I slowly opened her eyes just to be left stunned by the view she saw.
“I never thought the blue flower Lilly could be this enormous and filled with life. I thought it was just a common plant. This flower was very different from anyone I have ever seen. “I thought as I saw how magnificent the flowers were. There were a thousand of them in this yard
Its leaves look enormous and filled with energy just standing here I can feel the strong life force eliminating from the plant.
I didn’t know that this flower could be planted in a foggy and slightly misty portion of the earth but why is it eliminating dangerous yet life-filled vibes?
What carried a very bright aura and gave a very radical yet smooth feeling aura I wonder how many years it takes for it to mature and eliminate this kind of aura.
“Why do you take turns in guiding it?
Does anyone come to steal it or take it away from here? I asked ”
“Yeah some other forces from the other world come over to steal to gain power to breakthrough Also” Lorelei explained
So we have been instructed to take turns watching over this flower Lily
Everyone in Duval’s pack always has the days in which they take care of this miraculous flower lily. Only the wolf in the pack knows about this blue flower Lilly because it is only beneficiary to them.
Those who aren’t wolves have nothing to worry about.
