EVELYN
At this point I couldn’t understand why this man looked so familiar, it doesn’t feel like this is my first time seeing him.
And I could see it in his eyes, too. He knows me. I walked closer to him as he took his eyes away from mine and whisk his drink.
Composure
“Have we met?” I asked him without beating around the bush.
“Have we met?” He asked me back with an icy voice, I noticed something in his eyes, pain?
Is he in pain?
“Are you alright, you don’t look fine?” I asked, feeling a little bit concerned. It wouldn’t be good if I’m found lagging behind, but I just needed to confirm from this man if he knows me, maybe he could help me remember things I couldn’t remember.
“I am alright, my…lady,” he replied looking a little bit lost as he whisk his drink again and took it all in one gulp.
“I need another one,” he said as he raised the empty glass cup to my face.
“I’m not a bartender,” I pointed out the not so obvious thing.
“Well, you are here so we could order you around, young lady.”
He’s not a gentleman.
I walked to the counter as I ordered for another tequila and vodka drink.
“Here,” I handed over the drink to him.
“What’s your name?” He asked me as he held contact with my eyes.
These eyes , they looked so familiar.
“You tell me,” I said instead. I was testing the waters, of course.
The man furrowed his brows as he looked at me with amusement written all over his face.
“I wouldn’t waste my time asking for your name if I knew it.” He pointed out.
“Call me Red,” I said.
I tend to like the name Mr. Alex nicknamed me. It defined me, totally.
“Red,” he chewed the name smoothly. For some reason the way he called the name sent heat rushing down my clit.
“Are you new here?” He asked me
Why do I feel like he is interrogating me? I squinted as I nodded my head.
“Yes, this is my first day at work.”
“I’m aware. Are you new in this city?” He rephrased the question.
I tugged at my necklace as I didn’t know how to answer.
Was I new in this city? Or, was I born here? Where are my parents? Do I have a family?
“I.. I” I stuttered as the grip on my necklace was becoming strong.
“No, it’s fine, you don’t have to bother yourself that much,” he said with a smile as he stared long at my necklace.
I walked back to my pose as I stood there still vibing to the song. I waved at one of the boys staring at me across the pool.
Somehow, I’m beginning to find this place convenient.
I stared back to the seat behind me and the young man was no longer there. I didn’t even ask for his name.
What do I call him? Gentleman?
My legs were beginning to hurt and I was also feeling pressed. I walked to the receptionist to ask her where the staff’s toilet was.
“Our toilet has issues and the plumber has refused to come till tomorrow, I suggest you use the customer’s own.” She said, politely.
“Where’s it at?” I asked, sounding impatient as I was already feeling uncomfortable down there.
“That way,” she pointed to the corridor.
I walked quickly to the corridor, they were four toilets. Two was for females and the remaining two were for male.
I was about to open the female’s toilet when the light in the corridor and toilet went off.
I have always had a phobia for darkness.
I tried to comport myself as I opened the toilet door, it was very dark in here and I couldn’t see anything.
I flung my hands in the air, as I was trying to locate the water cistern.
My left hand hit something concrete. I thought it was a wall as I flung my hands in that particular direction again, as I held onto the wall but I noticed something different about this wall, it radiates heat.
Warm feeling.
I was about to take my hands off the so-called wall, when the person gripped my wrist.
“Running away, are you?”
The voice. Mr, familiar. I thought he has left the hotel.
“What are you doing here?” I asked a bit panicked.
“What are you doing here?” He asked me back as his grip on me tightened more.
“For the obvious reason, of course.”
“In the men’s room? Red?” The man’s husky voice sounded.
I paused darting my eyes to see any evidence that I was In the men’s room. But, it was all darkness.
“You are the one in the ladies room,” I argued.
“Oh, really?” He teased.
“I.. I-”
“You don’t remember me, Red? Mm, Evelyn?”
My eyes shone with fear as he called my actual name. “Who are you?” I asked as I tried to loosen his grip on me but he held on tighter.
“Answer me, Red,” he demanded.
“I don’t know you, I really don’t know you.
Since you know me, why don’t you tell me who I am,” I said, anxiously.
“Mm…” he hummed.
Although I couldn’t see anything but I could feel the change of the environment, it was sensual. I shouldn’t be here but, I can’t help myself either.
For a moment I felt his grip on him loosened and I used the opportunity to free my hands. I was about to touch the door knob when he dragged me back and pinned me to the wall.
“Mate,” he whispered softly into my ears.
Mate?
I swear this was not the first time I’m hearing this. Someone somewhere has used the mate word on me.
My breath shuddered under his dark eyes and soft touch.
A part of me was disgusted. Another part sang with exhilaration, he used his hands to trail from my collarbone to the curve of my breast.
I wasn’t going to be the girl who they could fuck around with, without thinking twice I slapped him hard on his face as I opened the door as quick as I could.
The corridor was pitch black, and I couldn’t see anything, in no time he caught up with me and still pinned me on the wall.
I was breathless, everything happened so quick.
First day at work, bad day at work!
Fury carved savage lines into the man’s face. “Fuck you!”
“You. Wish,”
The white plums of our breaths mingled in the cold. The air around us fell unnaturally still, like it was waiting with bated breath for our move.
“I don’t need to wish, Red.” His voice turned dark. Smoky. It slithered past my defenses and kindled a heat in my lower body that had both nothing and everything to do with my anger.
“I could fuck your brains out right now. Make you take back every fucking words you said, and have you begging for more by the end of it.”
It was a warning not seduction. And it made the fire burn even hotter in my veins.
I wasn’t going to let him feel like he got to me with those words. I’m not one to back down when I sense danger.
“You know what they say about men who talk a big game,” anticipation climbed up my spine at the danger swirling in the air.
We were one step away from crossing a line we couldn’t come back from, and I was already high from his words. I didn’t care.
“They are overcompensating for the smallest packages.”
A smile slashed across his face, vicious enough it introduced a seed of trepidation.
“You are about to find out how untrue that is,” he said softly with an icy voice.
He moved so fast I didn’t get the chance to draw another breath before he yanked me against him and his mouth against mine.
And my world as I knew it shattered into one million pieces.
Shock glued my feet to the floor, I had suspected this would happen, that I would push this man past his breaking point. He goaded me into it, after all.
I had felt the sensation when he called me mate and this feeling with him was familiar. I didn’t wish for it to happen today but now that it was happening, I couldn’t formulate a response.
No words, no movement, just utter disbelief and dark, disturbing heat that raced through my veins like wildfire.
The warmth from earlier had erupted into a full blown volcano dripping lava until every nerve ending blazed with sensation. My heart thundered with the force of a thousand galloping horses, and the pounding spread until it throbbed in every part of me -my head, my throat, the suddenly, agonizingly sensitive spot between my legs.
The man curled his hands around the back of my neck, holding me captive while he plundered my mouth.
He kissed the way he spoke. Hard. Rough. Explosive
I regained control of my limbs and raised my hands to him away but , to my surprise, I fisted his shirt instead. I gathered handfuls of the black cotton and yanked him closer until we were pressed so tight against each other, I wasn’t sure where I ended and he began.
A small moan escaped my lips when he shifted his hips just enough so his hardness rubbed against my core.
“Can’t get enough of me, can you?” His mocking whisper ghosted over my lips, its softness a sharp contrast to the force with which he tugged on my hair.
“Tears sprang to my eyes at the flash of pain, the throbbing in my lower belly intensified. “Fuck you, I hissed.
This was going to be a long night. A one night stand with a familiar stranger!
“I already know that is what you want, Evelyn,” he closed his teeth around my bottom lip and tugged hard enough to send another twin frisson of pain and pleasure swirling through my body.
“No need to beg for it, I will give you all for free, mate.”
A low growl rose in my throat. I finally shoved him off me, my heart racing and my lips and pussy throbbing in equal measure. “I will never beg you for anything,” I retorted.
“We will see about that,” he said as he suddenly stopped and jacked me on his shoulder as if I weighed nothing.
Where is he taking me to?
