Let’s Forget about this

The night was so long, as Tiffany and Brent kept having sex all through the night. They only got a glimpse of sleep in the early hours of the morning.
Tiffany woke up with a message from her parents, informing her that they would be back by next week. She got up, reading the message again, as she tried to be more awake.
She quickly dialed her mom’s number and called her, just to be sure. After one ring the call went through.
“Hello Mom, good morning,”
“Tiffy dear, how are you doing? Hope you got my message?”
“Yeah I did. You and Dad are seriously coming back by next week? I thought you said the trip was extended to one more month?” Tiffy asked, knitting her brows.
“Yes baby, but something came up and it was shortened. So we’d be back home next week. Aren’t you happy, why do you sound surprised?”
“Of course not mom, I’m happy, I’m so happy, I’m just surprised.” She laughed.
“Alright baby, how’s Brent?”
“He is good, mom, what about dad?”
“He had an early work to do, So he went out pretty early.”
“Okay Mom, take care. I love you and Dad.” She laughed, blowing kisses in the air, as she hung up the call.
It hadn’t been long since Brent woke up, he sat up and stared at Tiffany as she made a call with her mom.
“Why is your face scrunched up?” Brent asked, pulling her back to the bed.
Tiffany sighed, and fell into his arms. She wasn’t sure about what she should feel, but she was happy that her parents were coming back.
“My parents will be back by next week. Mom said that something came up, so their vacation was shortened.” she explained.
Brent chuckled, “And you’re sad, because you don’t wanna go yet?”
“That’s the point.” She smiled, nodding her head.
“It’s fine. You can still come over when you’re chanced. As long as we’re cool, they won’t suspect anything.” He kissed her hands, while stroking her hair.
Three days later
Tiffany lay on a couch, as she made a video call with Roman. He had been trying to woo her for the past days.
Brent has been avoiding her for some time, his reasons were yet unknown to her. She’s tried starting up a conversation with him, but he’d cut it off and leave abruptly.
It was early in the morning, when she went into his room, she tried to get him to have sex with her, he was hesitant at first, but later gave into his desire.
After the sex, he pulled away from Tiffany, as a hint of regret was etched on his face. Tiffany didn’t fail to notice the look on his face.
She sat up and narrowed her gaze at him. “Brent what’s wrong? You’ve been avoiding talking to me and that’s not fair, when I can’t even think of any offense.” She said, staring at him to read his expression, but it was aloof.
Brent glanced at her, studying her for a while, before beginning.
“Tiffy, I’m not trying to say you’re bad, but this is bad. I mean, what we’re doing is bad, I can’t even tell someone that I’m fucking my niece.” He blurted.
Tiffany knew he was right, she knew this day was going to come, yet she couldn’t bring herself to come to terms with it. She loved Brent and that was all that mattered to her, even though she was not yet sure that Brent felt the same way, since he hadn’t said something as such.
“I know what we’re doing is wrong, but no one has to know, we’re happy and that’s all that matters.” Tiffany replied, returning his gaze, but he looked away.
Her heart ached like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand.
“You don’t get the point Tiffy, we can’t keep hiding ourselves, we’d eventually come out in public. Then what would they say about us, no, this shouldn’t have happened in the first place, but since it already did, we can stop it by stopping ourselves.”
Tiffany glanced at him, there was a look of finality etched on his face. Nothing of what she was going to say would change his mind.
“So you want us to forget about everything that has happened between us and move on?”
“Yes, that would work.”
“Alright.” Tiffany nodded and looked away, as her eyes stung with tears.
“I’m sorry Tiffy, this is for the best.” he said, pulling her into a hug.
Tiffany let herself melt into him, savoring the feeling for the moment.
It wasn’t long, after that incident happened between Brent and her, that Roman started hitting her up. She couldn’t bring herself to stop thinking of Brent, but Roman seems to be a good distraction and she lets herself roll into it.
Tiffany was all dressed and ready to go out, Roman invited her to a birthday party, she decided to go, since she was doing nothing.
“You’re going out?” Brent asked, his gaze washing over her.
“Yeah, uhhm, Roman invited me to a party.” She smiled, adjusting her fitted pants.
“I don’t mind tagging along, Roman is also my friend.” Brent shrugged, getting up from the couch.
“But that’s not even necessary. It’s just Roman and I.” Tiffany stated.
“It is Tiffany, and I’m going with you.”
Brent said, with a tone of finality, giving Tiffany no room for protest.
Roman smiled, when he saw Tiffany looking all beautiful, “Tiffy, you’re here.” He said, about to hug her, when he saw Brent, besides her.
He paused, his widened smile faltering as he acknowledged Brent, “Dude? You’re here too.”
“Yes I’m here.” Brent smirked, giving Roman a reluctant gaze.
“I’m sorry I didn’t inform you about the party, Tiffany was going to inform you anyway.” Roman released a forced smile, as he took them further into the Hall.
Roman didn’t expect Brent to show up, he could have invited him to the party if he wanted to, but he didn’t want Brent to know that he wanted to ask Tiffany out.
Maybe, it was good that he showed up, he could tell Brent about it, after all they were friends.
