THE news which Nathan had brought was so devastating, Jeremy in particular had felt the impact. Why not? That was almost a billion dollar gone up the flames in minutes, but why?
“You said what?” He asked, as though he hadn’t heard him, and the next thing he became dizzy, his eyes went dim, he began seeing things double, his knees wobbled, his legs couldn’t carry him anymore and the next thing, he fell back on the bed, almost falling on Jasira.
“Oh my! Babe?” She called and immediately reached out to him.
“Boss?” Nathan called as well and rushed up to him.
“Sira?” Jeremy weakly called, his eyelids flickering.
“Yes baby, should we take you to the hospital?” She asked and he shook his head, slowly closing his eyes.
“Boss, we need to take you to the hospital right now,” Nathan said and made move to get him up and Jasira placed her right hand on his shoulder, halting him.
“Do not worry Nathan, do as your Boss had said. He would be fine, I will take care of him,” she said putting up a comforting smile, “just go take care of the mess,” she said.
With a nod Nathan stood straight up, and then turned to leave.
“And don’t forget,” she called back and he turned to her immediately.
“Yes ma’am,” he said.
“Do not let it out yet, not even to his parents, just keep it low,” she instructed.
“Okay ma’am, noted,” he said and walked out of the room.
“Jeremy?” Jasira called as she made him lie properly, “what sad news this evening,” she added and got up.
“You will be fine alright? I will take care of you,” she added and then walked into the bathroom.

Kylo and Nikky stood under one of the umbrella trees in the compound, their faces gloomy and obviously sad, they had been greatly perturbed.
The news that Jasira was going to quit had been a great blow to them, they hope it wasn’t true though, because they really haven’t heard from the horse’s mouth.
Kylo’s phone suddenly beeped and he looked into it, the sadness on his face deepened.
Just then, Mico walked up to them and they quickly turned to him. He was wearing a sad face as well.
“Any progress?” Nikky asked.
He shook his head.
“None that I could make out. Lord Lucario isn’t just in the right mood to talk -.”
“Goodness!” Kylo exclaimed interrupting Mico, “that is exactly what he has been saying for days now, not in the right mood,” he added.
“To be sincere he isn’t. He is always smoking heavy weeds whenever I call at his room, and if you notice, he hasn’t come out of his room for days now, neither is he showing up for meals especially breakfast which he never misses. His voice whenever he responds to me is similar to that of a dying old man,” Mico explained and the duo winced.
“The impact is great,” Kylo said.
“But why would Boss do this to us? Why? What have we done to her?” Nikky asked rhetorically.
“Like I’m confused, still trying to figure out the damn reason. Do you know that is the trending news now? That Boss J wants to quit the organization, it is on everyone’s lips, among the high and low members, among the maids, among the domestic staffs, everyone,” Mico said.
“Jeez! It would be more disastrous when it gets out, I mean, to other organizations,” Kylo said.
“That is if it hasn’t even, and I doubt it,” Nikky said.
“Nikky you are supposed to know better than us, you are her daughter, she took you as one,” Mico said and Nikky sighed.
“I wish I knew. Yes she took me as her daughter but she hardly share her problems and personal plans with me, except for work related, like I can’t even tell where she is right now, at least so I can have a word with her,” she lamented.
They sighed.
“This is too much for us to bear,” Kylo said, and just then, they saw a car driving in through the gate and from all perspectives, it was Jasira, yeah, it was her Jeep.
“Oh! That is her!” Nikky exclaimed and they all broke into a run, chasing the car and running up to the garage.
Jasira had just returned from Jeremy’s, she had made sure he was okay before she left, promising to return soon.
Actually, she had just returned to get some of her belongings so she could go back, as she intended to stay for some days in order to take proper care of Jeremy. Thank goodness, he was already awake and talking before she left.
From her side mirror she could see the trio running up to her, and her face fell. How was she gonna face them now?
She halted and Kylo opened the car door for her, her crestfallen face deepened, she just couldn’t hide her emotions.
“Oh my!” She exclaimed as soon as she saw their gloomy faces as well.
“Where am I gonna start from now?” She rhetorically asked looking from one person to the other.
“Momma?” Nikky called, “what is going on?” She asked and Jasira turned to her.
“You guys wouldn’t understand, it is a matter of time,” she said as she took out her purse and closed the door.
“Make us do Boss, we just want to confirm that what we are hearing isn’t true,” Kylo said.
Jasira sighed.
“I wish it isn’t,” she said.
“Ohh! Boss!” They exclaimed.
“I would send for you guys later, I have just rushed home from an emergency, I need to get back” she said, “if you would excuse me,” and she walked away, out of their presence.
The trio glanced at themselves, what sort of emergency was she talking about?
“What sort of emergency is more than she quitting the family huh?” Mico asked, a frown on his face.
“She is leaving us, she is gradually walking away from us, this is someone we have been waiting for days to see, and now we have she is leaving,” Kylo rushed his words.
“Oh my!” Nikky exclaimed and the two men instantly turned to her.
“You go,” they said in unison nudging at her.
For a second, she was confused.
“Huh?”
“Go, go find out the issue and talk some sense, she would listen to you,” Mico said.
Without ado, Nikky broke into a run and went after Jasira.
