JASIRA was sitted with a few of her guys relaxing and having fun that fateful evening, when suddenly a message notification from the messenger of one of her social media handles popped up, and she looked into the phone, it was Tarmah.
Instantly, she clicked on the message and it opened. Her eyes ran through the lines within seconds, it was a short simple text.
**Hello big sister, can you please make yourself available at the cafe, by six thirty tomorrow evening? I have a treat, please dress corperately**.
The text read.
A long sigh followed immediately as soon as she finished reading the message and she stiffened a laugh.
Tarmah has been fond of new things these days, who knows what this treat was? She shrugged her shoulders.
The next evening, she dressed up, in a sky blue gown, which stopped slightly above her knees, it’s collars designed with different colours of flowers, a sky blue stilletos, and a sky blue designer bag.
She let her long jet black hair drop down to her waist, then laced it with beautiful hair pins.
She looked so smart and cute that as she walked through the hallway, a lot of the mafia family kept on glancing at her.
As soon as she entered her Jeep, she hit the road driving straight to her destination. It was the cafe where they do normally meet, just about five miles away.
As she drove she glanced at her wristwatch, just to be sure she was keeping to time. Jasira was the kind of woman who never plays with her time, she was more than punctual to every appointments, be it business or casual hangout.
She got to the cafe and parked at the parking lot. Alighting from the car, she put a call across to Tarmah, who picked up immediately.
“I’m here already, where are you?”, Jasira asked, looking around.
“Oh! You are here? Please come in ma’am, just come in. There’s someone to direct you to my table”, she replied and hung up.
Jasira removed the phone from her ear and tilted her head, then she used her right hand to straighten down her gown, then cautiously, she walked up to the cafe.
She was at the entrance as at six twenty nine on the dot. As soon as she stepped in, a waitress approached her, smiling broadly.
“Good evening ma’am, welcome”, she said and genuflected slightly.
Jasira smiled.
“Good evening”.
“Let me take you to your table ma’am, I am the…”.
“I know… I know”, Jasira cut her short, “just take me there”, she added.
“Alright ma’am. Please come with me”, she said and began walking away, Jasira followed.
She was expecting to be taken up to Tarmah’s table, but instead, she watched this lady take her to a particular table where just a man sat, she grew nervous and wanted to say something, but held her peace.
On approaching the table, she got a clearer view of the man and jeez! She almost passed out, it was the beautiful man.
What the hell was Tarmah trying to do? Anyways, she held her calm and proceeded to act as a lady first.
Slowly though, with a lot of surprises written all over her face, she walked up to the table, still looking around probably, for that stubborn girl, Tarmah.
“Hello”, she heard him say in the most softest voice she had ever heard, and abruptly, she turned to look at him.
“What do you want?”, she snapped at him, in an angry voice, against her wish, and he smiled.
The smile melted her a thousand times, but she kept on fighting it within her.
“You are my guest beautiful, I am the person you have come to see”, he said using his left hand to smoothen down his neck tie.
“You are…”, she paused and snorted, really? “… what!”, she exclaimed.
How dare Tarmah? And without as much as a word or reply to him, she turned and walked out on him.
For a second Jeremy was stunned as he watched this fish slipped out of his sight, with his mouth ajar. He was so shocked and bewildered.
She had already gotten to the entrance and stepped out, before he realized himself and got up to go after her, but it was already late.
Doing this now would only just get matters complicated and worse, as the people who just wouldn’t let him walk by without a camera at his face were still very much in the building.
He just retraced his steps and sat down on his seat, sat down to think.
Then he picked up his phone lieing on the table and put a call across to Tarmah immediately. She picked up at the first ring.
“Hello bro, is it done? You are on it right?”, she asked enthused.
Jeremy scoffed.
“I wish I am”, he said.
“Huh?”, she gasped, “what do you mean?”, she asked.
“Tarmah this girl is no way close to girls I have crossed paths with, in this planet earth, no way. Jeez! She is hot, damn hot, and so stubborn, like you”, he said and she bursted into laughter.
“I know right. So you mean you weren’t able to accost her?”, she asked.
“Accost? I wasn’t even given the chance to. She didn’t even sit, immediately she found out I was the host, she walked out on me, leaving me befuddled, and shocked”, he said and sighed.
Tarmah chuckled.
“It’s expected, you know I didn’t tell her, I only just brought her out into the streets. She would be so angry with me as well”, she said.
“Wow!”, he exclaimed, “so, what are we going to do now?”, he asked.
“Um… I… oh dear brother, she is calling me already, let me answer to her and I will get back to you”, she replied.
“Okay”, he replied and hung up.
After few solemn minutes, he got up and left the cafe.
“What kind of a stupid stunt are you pulling up on me Tarmah?”, Jasira ranted into the phone, shouting and raging.
Tarmah sighed softly.
“A beautiful stunt big sis. Ma’am, this is for everyone’s good”, she added.
“And I am not everyone Tarmah, don’t try that nonsense or prank with me again”, she warned.
Tarmah smiled, she could sense the anger in her voice through the phone.
“It’s isn’t a prank”, she said in a singsong manner and heard Jasira sighed.
“Stubborn girl, I have warned you”, she said and hung up.
“I gonna try again sis”, Tarmah singsang into the phone but it was already late, Jasira had already hung up.
Angrily, Jasira turned away from facing the wardrobe as she made her call, and slowly walked up to the bed, reminiscing over what happened at the cafe.
She got to the bed and flung her phone on it, then using her two hands, she unruffled her hair, making it look disheveled.
“Jeez! Am I actually in love? Is this really love?”, she muttered to herself.
“I thought it was impossible for me to love, and not just love, to love someone I ordinarily, shouldn’t be having anything to do with them”.
“He actually called me beautiful, and spoke to me in a soft voice, the most softest voice I have ever heard. Ahhh!”, she exclaimed and before she knew it, her eyes welled up and instantly, the tears came rushing down her face.
Now whimpering, she slowly lowered herself on the bed, and cried out her heart.

Amelia was so shocked as she stood looking into her phone and watching a video coverage someone has just sent.
She was stunned, and shocked to the bones. Was Jeremy cheating on her? She was forced to ask herself. Still standing, her legs couldn’t carry her anymore and she flopped down on the bed, the tears in her eyes began welling up.
Someone, or should I say a snitch, has just sent a video of the happenings at the cafe the previous day.
Immediately, she set out for Zoey’s place. As she drove, she fought the tears from falling down her face, cleaning the streaks off with a handkerchief.
Few minutes later, she got there and parked at the parking lot, then alighted.
“You wouldn’t believe what I just saw Zoey…”, she trialed off. She met Zoey at the garden, cooling off.
Zoey looked up.
“What is that?”, she asked.
“Jeremy is cheating on me”, she let out the bombshell.
“What!”, Zoey exclaimed and cupped her hands over her mouth, staring at Amelia wide-eyed.
“How did you get to know? Who told you?”, she asked, almost shouting.
Sniffing, Amelia brought out her phone and handed it to her, there was a video on pause, and then she sank into a plastic seat.
“That is the video someone sent me few minutes ago, play it”, she said and Zoey played it.
As she watched, she showed signs of shock and astonishment.
“So, what exactly do you think happened here?”, she asked, handing the phone back to her.
Amelia grimaced.
“He had invited that lady that walked out on him, for a date at the cafe, can’t you see?”, she stressed.
“Oh my goodness! Hold on… hold on…”, she laughed, “do you mean Jeremy, your man, ask another lady out?”, she asked and Amelia winced.
“My goodness! But why? What for? Why would he do that?”, she asked.
“How would I know Zoey? How? God! I’m done with”, Amelia shouted, as she flung her arms on her head.
Zoey shook her head.
“No, you don’t say that, you aren’t. Did you even get to see who the lady is?”, she asked.
“I couldn’t, I thought you would be able to”.
“The person who had captured this did it from a far distance I guess, so as not to be seen. Because according to what I just watched, I couldn’t even get the face of Jeremy if not that I know him already, talk more of the lady, I can’t tell who she is”, she said shaking her head sideways.
Amelia sighed.
“Hmph, that was my thoughts too”, and she looked away.
“You know what? I think you should go confront him”, Zoey said.
Amelia snapped her head at her.
“Confront who? Jeremy?”, she asked with her eyes widened.
“Yeah”, she nodded, “he is your man right? You have every right to confront him girl come on”, she nudged her.
“I know, I know he is my man. You talk as if you do not know Jeremy though, that guy is difficult, stubborn, cantankerous, oh my God!”, she put her hands on her head, “I don’t think I can face him”, she said, her face downcasted and crestfallen.
Zoey made a face sarcastically.
“Awwwwn, you can’t face him, and he is your man, your supposed fiancee. Sit here, fold your arms and watch another lady take your man just as a hawk would do to a chick”, she said with a look of digust on her face.
Amelia sighed and looked away to think. Actually, it never wasn’t in her agenda to go confront Jeremy over this, she had only brought the matter to Zoey to share her burden, nothing more than that.
Suddenly, she decided to go, following the encouragement and advice Zoey was heaping around her.
“Do not go okay? A more strong and interested lady would soon whisk him away…”, she continued talking and Amelia became fed up.
“Alright, alright, fine. I will go”, she said and raised up her two hands in surrender.
Zoey smiled broadly.
“Good, now you are talking, good. When you get there, bring out that rude part of yours and tell him that you can’t be used to joke around”, she said.
Amelia scoffed.
“Mmm, it’s okay. I will be going now”, and she got up.
“Alright, good luck”, Zoey got up as she said to her and Amelia nodded.
Together, they walked to the parking lot and Amelia boarded her car, and drove away, heading for Jeremy’s.
She got to his mansion in about forty minutes and was allowed entry. She drove to the garage and halted, then alighted. Then she walked into his mansion.
It was Saturday, a non working day and she so much expected him to be around.
The guards at the door bowed as soon as she walked up to them and opened the door, and she entered.
She saw no one in the living room and so she took the stairs, heading for his room.
She got there and knocked, then waited for it to be open.
Jeremy who was oblivious and unaware of her coming was sitted on the couch, working on his laptop. He heard the knock and looked up with a start.
He began contemplating who it was, Tarmah or Amelia, because only these two aside his parents has the right to come knock on his bedroom door, and without a guard coming to inform him of their presence first.
Sighing, he splayed his fingers on his forehead and got up, then walked up to the door. Using his finger print, he opened the door and stood by it, it was Amelia, he frowned.
Amelia swallowed hard as soon as she saw him, he was shirtless and his hot body glistened, she immediately yearned for him.
“Um…, good afternoon baby”, she greeted, smiling.
Jeremy scoffed and came out of the room, then leaned on the door.
Amelia was shocked, when has this started? She waved it off as a shortcoming from his side.
“Would you let us in please?”, she asked, smiling.
“What do you want Amelia, and what are you doing here?”, his cold voice asked.
Amelia rolled her eyes.
“What kind of a question is that Jeremy? What is ‘what am I doing here?’, really?”, she asked.
He snorted.
“You wanna show your aggressiveness to me right? You wanna show me that you are a mad dog huh?”.
She gasped, shocked to the bones.
“Jeremy?”, she called.
“Amelia what do you want?”, he demanded again.
She sighed.
“Anyways, since you have refused me entry into your room, I think we gonna talk here. Are you cheating on me Jeremy?”, she dropped the question.
“Huh?”, he mouthed, then bursted into a sarcastic laughter, shocking Amelia.
“This is a serious issue and you are laughing?”, she asked.
“Are we dating?”, he retorted and she gasped again, flickering her eyelids.
“What?”.
“Answer my question Amelia, are we really dating?”.
Amelia was at a very big loss, she didn’t know what to reply, didn’t know what to say. She just looked on with her mouth ajar, and in shock.
“Ugh… we…”, she stuttered.
“The cat has gotten your tongue right? No, go on, ask me about yesterday at the cafe, ask me about the lady, ask”, he said and her eyes widened in shock, totally flabbergasted.
“Now listen and listen real good Amelia, we aren’t an item, we have nothing going on between us order than the old story of being betrothed from birth, we aren’t dating, and therefore you do not own me.
“Never you in your life, come in here again to ask me about my personal affairs, I repeat again, you do not own me, and don’t act like you do. Keep your distance…”.
“Je… Jeremy?”, she managed to call in between sobs, cutting him short.
“Leave here this minute before I call the guards on you”, he said in a cold voice and she shivered.
“What!”, she exclaimed.
