A hazy day with hazy weather, surrounding all of the places in Texas city while the people are moving around with their cars on the roads with the squeaking sounds of the car tires spreading across the city nearby the police station, as it is the brand-new day early in the morning. The day filled with a lot of atrocities among the people inside the prison cells.
There is no day that Edward has ever felt at peace more than this day as he is on the top of his bed reading his book with his legs intertwined together closely inside the prison’s cell, turning the pages of his book as he scans around the pages of the book while enjoying what he sees.
As Edward is reading on the top of his bed, some of his fellow prisoners starts to talk about him with murmuring voices as they are besides Edward’s bed with contorted looks on their faces, disgusted by Edward’s behavior.
“Look at him! Does he think he is smarter than us.” One of the prisoners speaks with a whispering voice and scoffs, casting his eyes towards Edward as Edward is reading his book on the top his bed.
As Edward is engrossed himself on his novel while not paying attention to anyone inside the room. One of the prisoners’ leaps on into his feet and walks closer towards Edward’s bed, wearing a white vest and shorts walking towards Edward’s space as Edward Is busy reading his book.
Shortly as Edward is reading his book on the top of his bed. Suddenly the Prisoner arrives towards his space who goes by the name of spencer. The man who makes everyone life’s miserable inside the prison cell.
“You!” spencer calls, his voice sound rough with anguish burning inside his heart.
Edward closes his book half way through and then looks at spencer, astonished with his presence in front of him.
“Hello!” Edward greets with knitted brows.
Spencer looks at his fellow prisoners’ and scoffs and then returns back his gaze towards Edward. “What do you think you are doing?”
Edward furrows his brows. “Uh!… I’m just reading my book.”
Spencer smirks and then looks at his fellow prisoners with smirking face as his friends looks at Edward with contempt looks on their faces.
Spencer shakes his head with a disappointed look. “What are you doing? This isn’t a library room; this is a prison. You need to follow our rules inside this cell, and nobody is allowed to read a book inside here.”
Edward’s words hold themselves back on his throat as he glances on Spencer up and down with curiosity perking inside his heart.
“What is this man want from me right now? Edward speaks to his inner thoughts.
Edward clears his throat and then replies to spencer. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know we were not allowed to read books inside this cell.”
Spencer grabs Edward’s book and throws it away aside immediately, causing agitated feeling inside Edward’s heart as he tries so hard to remain calm on the top of his bed as his fellow prisoners laughs at him mockingly with contempt looks on their faces. “Look at that guy. He thinks that he is J. k Rowling.”
Edward’s skin tensed with the anguish burning inside his heart as he tries to maintain his composure not to over react with his fellow prisoners trolling him inside the cell.
Edward swings his legs from his bed and leaps on into his feet, standing straight beside his bed on his way to get his book.
Spencer stops Edward on the way with his hand resting on the top of his chest.
“Where do you think you are going?” Spencer asks.
Edward looks at spencer and replies. “I’m going to get my book.”
Spencer shakes his head. “No, no, no. You are not going anywhere right now.”
Edward remains still, looking at spencer with bewilderment feeling inside his heart, gazing at him as he tries to figure out what are the true intentions of Spencer trying to stop him.
“Listen fool! There is little surprise the I have stored for you.” Spencer says.
Edward furrows his brows. “What is it?”
Spencer plants his hand inside his shorts pocket, and then glances at his friends with a smile on his face, removing his knife out of his pocket which leaves the creeps inside Edward’s heart as his heart races faster.
Edward darts away fast from spencer’s space as he breathes in and out while speaking with a shaking voice. “What do you think you are doing?”
“This is a gift from your boss for snitching on him while you were outside on the streets.” Spencer says.
“Damn you, Alex! So right now, you are trying to kill me instead of helping me out. I will never forgive you for that” Edward speaks to his inner thoughts.
Edward swallows his saliva on his throat while his stomach grumbles from the inside as his whole body shakes violently with terror look on his face, walking moving from behind. “Drop that knife down, please! There is no need of killing each other right now.”
Spencer scoffs as he is following Edward from behind. “No, I won’t do that. Your time to die has finally come this time.”
As Edward is walking from behind with nervous feeling inside his heart. Staring at spencer as spencer is holding a knife on his hand while not knowing what to do in order to save himself from the prison cell as there is no officer around during that time
As Edward is walking from behind, he then hits the prison cell’s door with the back of his body while his whole body trembles with fear from the inside, praying to God for spencer not to stab him as he is approaching him closer towards his space.
“Please God, Help me with this. I don’t know what I should do anymore.” Edward speaks to his inner thoughts with the fear inside his heart as his whole body shakes violently.
As spencer is pulling his hand on his back in motion about to stab Edward on his stomach. Suddenly the prison’s officer hits the cell’s door with the police bat, causing Edward and spencer to startle with shock while spencer turns away quickly, hiding his knife on his short’s pocket as soon as he sees the police officer.
“What the hell are you doing here? Why are you all standing at the door?” The police officer asks with grimace look on his face.
Edward turns quickly and looks at the officer at the door. “Please officer! I really need your help right now.” Edward speaks with blank face, looking at the officer with wide eyes.
