45 minutes later.
Lucas drove into a parking space as I gaped speechlessly… This was one of the most expensive and glamorous restaurants in America.
“Lucas!” I called but he was already out of the car as he came to my side.
He opened the door offering his hands for me to take which I did accept immediately.
The cool night seems quite alright as Lucas snaked his arm around my waist as we started walking into the restaurant.
The structure of the restaurant was splendid. We got into the building and were shown our table which was at the far end and quite different from the rest. Then I realized Lucas had made the booking privately.
Lucas pulled out the chair for me to seat and I mouthed with a thank you… I glanced around taking notice of the people having a nice convo and eating.
“Wow! This place is–”
“Great!” Lucas interrupted as I stared at him and smiled.
“Yeah!” I nodded staring at the table covered with white-flowered material.
“Sir, should I bring in the food?” The waitress who showed us our way to the table earlier asked Lucas.
“Yes,” He answered while she nodded and walked away.
“You made the food reservation already?” I asked Lucas as he stared at me.
“Yes, I did,” He smiled and stood up from his seat as he walked closer to me.
I raised a brow at him and gasped when he went on all knees.
“What are you doing?” I asked lowly glancing around to see if people were even noticing us but everyone seems to be in their own world or business.
“Stand up!” I muttered placing my hands on his arm trying to make him stand up.
“I want you to be my all and everything, I want to live the rest of my life with you Camilla… and I hope in the future you’ll be the mother of my kids,” He said staring at me with so much love and affection that I thought I was dreaming.
He just proposed to me or what?
My God!!! I can’t believe this.
I stared in awe as he brought out a blue velvet box from his pocket and handed it to me making me gasp.
I collected it from him in shaky hands as I opened the little box and gasped loudly… In it were a Gold necklace with a golden heart pendant and a red diamond carved into it.
“Lucas… This is so beautiful,” I gasped as a tear slipped on my face. Then he smiled and stood up collecting the necklace from me as he went to my back. He packed my hair to the side placing the necklace on my neck and hooked it at the back, then he straightened my hair back.
He took my hand again and brought out a bracelet from his pocket as he wore it for me. It was Gold too embedded with a lot of shiny diamonds on it, then I looked at the side to see it was engraved with some words.
‘You’re Special and I will always love you, L. L’
And I cried clasping my palm over my mouth to stifle the sounds my throat urgently wanted to make.
“Here are your orders,” The waitress notified as she pushed a food table to our side and started setting our table.
I stared at the food in front of us, there was grilled chicken, with risotto, shrimps, cheesecake with a bottle of wine.
“Do you like the food?” Lucas asked as he stared intimately at me when I hadn’t touched my food.
“Yes, I do, I was just overwhelmed,” I smiled and grabbed my cutlery, and started eating.
The waitress poured some wine into our glass cups and left.
“Mmm!” I moaned due to the satisfaction I got from the door and I heard Lucas chuckle as I raised my head to stare at him.
“What?” I asked with my mouth full.
“Shhh! You’ll choke,” He muttered stretching his hand to me pressing his finger on my lips.
I nodded gazing at him as he brought down his hand.
“I’m happy you love the food,” He said and started eating too.
30 minutes later,
“So, where are we going?” I giggled as Lucas took a turn on the road.
“Somewhere private! Just me and you alone,” He smiled and zoomed on the road.
He looked so happy and I was glad for that too.
“That’s great!” I smiled and stared at the bracelet on my wrist.
Lucas kept on driving and stopped abruptly, then I noticed we were on an open field.
I got down from the car and ran with Lucas following behind me.
We laughed and giggled as he caught my waist. We would both fall on the floor and roll together on the floor.
We cuddled each other and sat on the ground as we stared into the sky, staring at the sky.
Lucas played with my hair as he tangled my hair around his fingers and leaned to kiss my bare shoulder which caused some lusty flutters in my stomach.
“Lucas!” I called as he nuzzled into the crook of my hair making me giggle.
“Yes love,” He answered as I entwined my fingers with his while I leaned on his chest.
“Sing for me,” I said turning my head to stare into his face.
“Okay darling,” He smiled raking his fingers through my hair.
“I took an arrow to the heart,” He started.
“I never kissed a mouth that tastes like yours,” He sang as he kissed my shoulder.
“My God! That shivers by Ed Sheeran,” I gasped facing him as he chuckled.
“Strawberries and somethin’ more,” We sang together.
“Ooh, yeah, I want it all,” He sang and I sang the next part.
We took turns singing each line of the song and smiled then all of a sudden it felt so cold.
Then I felt something hit my skin…
I looked up to the sky and noticed it was snowing.
“Whoopie! It’s snowing,” I muttered happily standing on my feet as I ran on the field looking into the sky as I spread my arms.
Lucas and I played some more as we danced with each other before he removed his coat and used it to cover me.
“Wear this… You must be getting cold,” He said while I giggled and wrapped my hands around his waist.
“Let’s go home!” I muttered and raised my head to kiss his lips.
