Book:His Burning Obsession Published:2024-8-27

Lucas wiped his hands on his trousers as he walked out of the police custody, along with Ben. His father came by to bail him and his friend out and left immediately without saying a word.
I explained every single detail that transpired between me and Damien in the bathroom to the police and I was told he would be detained after getting conscious.
I still can’t believe Lucas and Ben almost killed him, well they would if someone doesn’t stop them on time.
They could be so dangerous and perilous while in the next second they could be very caring to their loved ones.
“Hey, baby! Are you okay?” Lucas asked as he approached me while I engulfed him in a tight hug.
“I’m fine… Oh my God! You shouldn’t be that extremely wild when you’re angry,” I murmured in his neck as his hands wrap securely around my waist.
I broke the hug and cupped his cheeks with my palms as I stared into his face.
“Let’s go home,” Lucas said and I nodded my head as he took hold of my hand in his
A chauffeur was waiting for us as we stepped on the last step of the building.
We all got into the small limousine which was black.
The journey throughout was silent until we finally got to Ben’s house and dropped him.
I stared in awe at the magnificent mansion… It was almost as big as that of Lucas’s home.
“See you two by Monday,” He chuckled grabbing his black bag.
“Yeah,” I muttered and wondered why Lucas was all mute or probably he’s still thinking about what happened earlier.
“Make sure to take care of yourself, dear,” He said and I nodded.
The driver drove out of Ben’s home and I breathed out deeply.
I tried not to remember the crazy moment with that cocky bastard.
I cringed at the feeling of him kissing me and I felt so sick and pale all of a sudden.
I glanced at Lucas who looked transfixed by the moment.
I decided not to say anything and gazed through the windows as we continued the journey in an awkward situation while I stared at the skyscrapers, shops, malls, happy people walking hand in hand, and the crazy street people hanging around too.
The ride was smooth for some minutes then I began to doze off when someone tapped me.
I opened my eyelids which were feeling heavy as I wanted to sleep badly.
Today was just as disastrous as my previous ones in the past.
“Are you sleeping?” I heard a deep voice say and I looked up to see Lucas staring worriedly at me.
“No… Are we home already?” I asked fisting my both hands as I used to clean my eyes.
“Yes! Come here,” He notified as I shifted on my butt on the leader seat.
I got closer to him and a warm smile appeared on his face.
He got down from the car and offered me his hand which I took hold of immediately.
I almost tripped as I clung to him.
“Hey! Careful,” Lucas muttered grabbing my waist with his other hand while I looked directly into his eyes and nodded.
We got into the house and were greeted by the maids around and climbed up the stairs as we walked towards his room with our hands clasped together.
Immediately we got into his room he drew my body to his and buried his face in the crook of my neck.
“I’m sorry that bastard came close to you,” He murmured sadly while I sighed as he moved his head back to stare into my eyes.
“Can we forget about him, I’m fine, at least nothing happened to me and I’m grateful,” I said looking back into his green eyes.
“It won’t happen again, I promise,” He said gazing into my eyes while I nodded.
I brought my hand slowly to his jaw while staring at him as a warm smile appeared on my face.
He has always been there for me even when he hated me so much then but he always made sure nothing happens to me, he made sure no one aside him terrifies me, that no one should touch me except him even though he refused to accept the fact he had always liked me from the beginning.
But I’m glad he changed into a better person and I think it’s time for me to accept my feelings for him.
Still trailing my hands on his cheeks and staring dearly into his eyes.
“I like you,” I muttered letting a drop of a tear slide down my face.
He gazed at me in shock and closed every gap between us as he stared into my face.
“Can you say it again?” He asked making me chuckle.
“I like you, Lucas Liam,” I uttered as he smiled profusely at me.
“I’m so happy, I thought I would never hear that word from you,” He chuckled while I laughed.
“I don’t like you,” He said as my face dropped while my heart beat faster than it should, it was like a heavy pang pierce through my heart.
“I love you, Camilla,” He said staring at me while I gaped speechlessly at him.
“What I feel for you is more than like, it’s Love… I Love you, Camilla,” He said taking my hands in his as a sigh of relief washed through me.
“You’ve taken and occupied my whole heart, Camilla, and I’ll forever let it be yours and yours alone,” He said and placed my hands on his chest at his heart area as I felt it beat fastly.
I gasped as another tear fell off my face. I wasn’t expecting him to confess to me that way. He loved him and he told me those three magical words I have always fantasized in my dreams about him when I first laid my eyes on him in first grade that he would tell me someday.
“Don’t cry, you’ll only spoil that beautiful face of yours,” He said bringing his other hand to my face as he used his thumb to wipe the tears.
“Shut up!” I muttered while laughing as I leaned closer to him and pressed my lips against him.
I closed my eyes as I let him slide his tongue into mine, we both tangled our tongues in a delightful way as I wrapped my hands around his neck bringing him closer to me.
I closed my eyes letting him kiss me the way he wants as our lips moulded perfectly for each. This wasn’t just a kiss but a kiss that entails about love and passion for each other.
‘I love you too,’ I said in my mind.
