Rosiley felt a little guilty when seeing Xiaoxiao’s disappointed face. After all, she did so much just for her.
“Actually, that’s just my guess. With Rorey having a disfigured face, she probably only participated in the festival to find a new company for her. No company would dare to sign a contract with her now after what you did.”
Rosiley analyzed the situation again to comfort Xiaoxiao’s disappointment.
“Really?” Hearing what she said, Ying Xiaoxiao immediately became happier. She could not help exclaiming with pride, “I want her to be shunned by every company and be chased out of the entertainment industry.”
Rosiley nodded. “Yes, perhaps she has already been chased out.”
Rorey had a terrible reputation in the industry now. Signing a contract with her was akin to bringing trash home, dirtying a company’s own reputation in the industry.
“Not perhaps, I am certain that’s the case,” Ying Xiaoxiao said confidently.
Rosiley smiled and didn’t linger on this topic, changing to another one. She asked, “I heard that you intend to return to work in TEG News.”
Ying Xiaoxiao was stunned by the question, and she took a long while to reply, “How did you know?”
Ying Xiaoxiao slapped her head in regret once she asked. “I must be dumb. Corey probably told you that.”
Rosiley shook her head. “No.”
“Then, it must have been Morphy.”
“Yes, it was him.” Rosiley looked at her with thoughtful eyes. “Tell me, why do you intend to work in TEG News? Is it because of Corey?”
“Because of Corey?” Ying Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes. “You think too much, Rosiley. I merely wanted to train myself.”
“Oh, really?” Rosiley didn’t believe in her simple reason.
“It’s all right if you don’t believe me.”
“It’s not that I am unwilling to believe you, but I remember… someone saying that she would never work in a company again due to their strict and confining policies.”
She raised her brows at Ying Xiaoxiao, mocking her.
Ying Xiaoxiao pursed her lips. “All right, I said that. However, times have changed, understand?”
“Sure.” Rosiley dragged out her voice and said, “If I did believe you, our years of friendship have truly gone to waste.”
“Anyway, I do want to train myself. I can’t help it if you want to conjure up other reasons than that.” Ying Xiaoxiao spread her hands out helplessly.
Rosiley could not help smiling. “Xiaoxiao, this is unlike your character.”
She knew Ying Xiaoxiao as someone with a direct character. She spoke her mind and acted according to her wishes, almost never hiding her true intentions.
The reason behind her change of mind to work in TEG News was definitely not so simple.
“Every human has multiple sides to their character. So…” Ying Xiaoxiao smiled. “As long as you are used to it.”
Rosiley raised up her brows but she didn’t continue the topic. since she was unwilling to tell her the true reason, there was no use in forcing her.
“The doctor said that I can be discharged tomorrow.” Rosiley changed the subject again.
“Really?” Ying Xiaoxiao was astonished. “Are you fully recovered?”
“Yes, I am almost fully recovered. After resting for a few more days at home, I’ll be totally back to normal.”
“You should stay for a few more days in the ward. You can rest here as well, and you can find doctors easily if any complications arise.”
Ying Xiaoxiao was worried that she was going to be discharged so early.
“Nope. I am rotting here. It will be much more comfortable at home.”
