Camilla’s POV.
It was Biology class and I sat close to the window as I dozed off as Mrs. Justin explained the cell and its structure.
Everyone was yawning while some of my classmates began to sleep.
I tried to keep my eyes open but it was always going back to its sleeping state and that only happens in Mrs. Justin’s class.
Let me put it this way, her class is so fucking boring. They should have done an oral interview for her instead.
The more she talked, the more I dozed, it’s just as if she was singing us a lullaby.
The worst thing about her is that she’s so wicked.
“Hey, you! Stand up!!” Mrs. Justin shouted pointing at Evangelina who was already sleeping.
Her seatmate tapped her and whispered into her ear as she sprang up from her seat.
“So, you’re sleeping in my class while I was taking my time and energy, teaching you at my very best,” Mrs. Justin screamed terrifying the blonde girl who shook with fear.
“No ma, it was a mistake,” The frightened girl pleaded.
I rolled my eyes as Mrs. Justin started with her bickerings.
All she knows is to claim she’s teaching us like no other and give us terrifying assignments.
“To the detention room, you can sleep your destiny there and not in my class,” Mrs. Justin said adjusting her classes.
“Please ma,” Evangelina tried to beg but Mrs. Justina shunned her with her palms.
The girl nodded and walked out of the class.
“Your class is too boring,” Jenny cooed at the back as I watched her pouting at Mrs. Justina.
She was sitting with Lucas, who just made sure he bored holes into the back of my head.
We made contact as his green eyes lingered with mine and I gulped facing my front again.
“Watch your mouth, Miss. Layton,” Mrs. Justin said with narrowed eyes.
“What! You’re not gonna send her to the detention room because she’s a rich kid,” The girl sitting with Evangelina accused loudly and Mrs. Justin stared at her with shock.
“And me being a rich kid your problem?” Jenny asked with a smirk.
“Stop this nonsense, both of you to the principal’s office now,” Mrs. Justin ordered.
Jenny and the girl glared at each other before they walked out of the classroom while Jenny made a loud hiss.
“Stupid brats,” Mrs. Justin cursed before she gave us her attention.
“Let’s continue,” She announced before she started scribbling some drawings on the board.
I groaned internally, hoping for the bell to be rung immediately.
I was about to start drawing the structure of the chlamydomonas when something hit my head.
It was a squashed paper. I decided not to turn my back cause I knew it was that annoying friend of Lucas, Ben.
Another came landing on my head again and I broke the pencil lead out of frustration.
Ben always does things like that when he’s bored or looking for my trouble and Lucas won’t say a word about it.
He will just stare at me like a zombie.
I sighed as more papers continued hitting my head but it was best to simply ignore him.
My prayer was for the bell to ring soon, so I can vanish from the class.
“OMG! Nerdy just farted,” Bella said behind me as I gasped with shock as everyone laughed and covered their faces.
I turned to look at Bella who crumpled up her face and covered her nose.
“That’s a lie,” I fired glaring at Bella.
“Are you trying to cover up for that horrible smell?” Bella asked naively.
“Miss. Evans next time you want to fart, ask for permission and leave the class,” Mrs. Justin said.
“But I–”
“No more words from you,” Mrs. Justin interrupted shunning me with her palms.
I glared at Bella who gave me a cocky smirk.
I glanced at Lucas once more who just stared blankly at me.
It’s useless arguing with this moron.
“So for your assignment, I want you to draw the structure of paramecium and label it for me,” Mrs. Justin announced and the bell rings immediately.
Everyone groaned as I hurriedly packed my books and was about to run out of the class as I landed on the floor flat.
I groaned as I tried to get back on my feet.
Someone must have stuck his/her leg out for me making my trip.
I packed my books as I heard the vexatious laughter of my mates.
I stood up straight adjusting my glasses and holding my books tight to me, only to be met with Bella and Susan crossing the arms and blocking me from the door path.
“Excuse me!” Annoyance lacing my voice.
“Hmph! She still stinks,” Bella made a disgusted look covering her nose with her palms.
“What the fuck, did you eat?” Susan asked laughing.
I fisted my hands and sighed.
“Are you done talking?” I asked rolling my eyes.
They stared at me before Susan walked up to me.
“When we’re talking, don’t you ever talk back to us,” Susan warned venomously.
I gasped with shock as I felt the contact of the cold water on my face and I stared at Bella holding a water bottle waving it in my front.
“That’s to ease out the horrific smell emanating from your body,” Bella sneered.
Everyone in the class erupted into fits of laughter.
There’s nothing funny in what these two idiots said or did but they always made sure to make fun out of it.
Bella and Susan gave me a satisfied look as they left the way for me.
“You may disappear now,” Susan smirked.
I found myself walking out of the class as I heard them laughing again.
I walked to my locker immediately and kept my books inside immediately as I removed my glasses and cleaned them immediately, and wiped the tears that glistened in my eyes.
My attention caught the shreds of paper in my locker when I realized it was the letter Charles wrote to me.
Who could have done this?
It was torn into pieces and all I could do was stare into my locker speechless.
I checked for the ticket Beatrice gave to me and heaved a sigh of relief when I found out it was still there.
I took it immediately and kept it in my bag.
I wouldn’t want someone to tear that too.
But the question is, who had the guts to check my locker and also destroy what was valuable to me.
Could it be Lucas?
I questioned myself, I packed the pieces of paper into my palms and threw them in the dustbin nearby.
“Hey baby! How are you doing?” Someone chirped as she hugged me from behind and it was no other than Beatrice.
“Woah! You’re fucking wet, what happened?” Beatrice asked as she stared at me.
“It’s nothing,” I sighed.
“It’s them, right?” Beatrice fumed as she began to stump off.
“No, No, wait Beatrice! Let’s have lunch instead,” I persuade grabbing her wrist, trying to change Beatrice of whatever she had in mind.
She would only cause more scenes.
“I’m going to kill them all,” Beatrice screeched.
“I know, I know, but not now! Let’s forget about them, Bella just mistakenly poured water on me,” I lied.
Beatrice stared into my eyes while I tried to keep the truth in them.
“Okay, let’s go and have lunch,” She finally agreed.
“Yeah!” I said with relief as we walked towards the cafeteria.
Beatrice will just make everything worsen by jumping from frying pan to fire.
I don’t have the stamina to deal with any fight now.
