Yayoi walked up close to them. When she heard Ariella Ning call him “Eduard”, she stopped dead in her tracks and frowned.
“He is called Eduard?!”
After Ariella Ning ordered him, she turned around and inevitably saw Yayoi, who was not far away. A simmer of light flashed across her eyes as her red lips curved into a smile. “Well, isn’t this our reporter Seneca, Yayoi?”
Hearing that, the man beside her looked at her and followed her gaze. When he saw Yayoi, his expression changed slightly before he returned to his usual calmness.
Yayoi approached them one step at a time, locking her gaze on the man’s handsome face. She was afraid that he would disappear before her eyes if she was careless.
Seeing her eccentric expression, Ariella Ning frowned. “Why does Yayoi keep staring at Eduard? Her expression makes it seem like she knows him.”
Therefore, Ariella Ning glanced at the man and asked, “Eduard, do you know her?”
The man shook his head. “I don’t know her.”
His words “I don’t know her” sliced into Yayoi’s heart like an icy blade, causing her heartache.
Yayoi stopped in her tracks when she saw him. She lifted up her head to look at him, her eyes full of nostalgia.
She smiled bitterly as she asked him, “Brother Qingjue, did you forget about me?”
“I am sorry, you recognized the wrong person.”
He stared at her as if she were a stranger, with a cold gaze devoid of any warmth.
She would never misrecognize her Brother Qingjue.
They hadn’t seen each other in a few years. He had become more mature but he still looked the same.
She would never misrecognize him.
“Brother Qingjue, I…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Ariella Ning stopped her. “Yayoi, his name is Eduard Xiang, not ‘Brother Qingjue’. You’ve misrecognized him.”
“No, he is Qingjue, not Eduard!” Yayoi roared.
Ariella Ning sniggered and mocked her. “Yayoi, just because he looks familiar doesn’t mean that he is your relative.”
“He doesn’t look like my brother; he is my brother!” Yayoi walked toward Xiang Zhen, searching for something on his face with her eyes widened.
Immediately following that, her mouth curved into a smile as she turned to Ariella Ning and said, “He is my Brother Qingjue because…”
She pointed at his brows and continued, “He has a scar here because I injured him by throwing a stone at him when we were younger.”
“Scar?” Ariella Ning walked over and signaled for Eduard Xiang to bow down. The latter bowed down obediently.
Yayoi’s pupils dilated. She squeezed her hands tightly as she didn’t expect her proud Brother Qingjue to bow down to anyone.
Ariella Ning examined his brows and she indeed found a scar there.
“Could he really be Luo Qingjue, the brother of Yayoi?”
She stared at him thoughtfully as she attempted to find any strange signs on his face.
Perhaps he hid his emotions well, or perhaps Yayoi misrecognized him, but he was completely natural.
Therefore, she turned around and smirked at Yayoi. “Can the scar prove his identity so easily? Surely that’s too simple.”
“It is impossible that two identical individuals exist in this world, where even their scars are in the same place. Therefore, he is Luo Qingjue.”
Yayoi was very excited. She rushed forth to grab Eduard Xiang’s hand but he evaded her.
“I am Eduard Xiang, you’ve misrecognized me.”
His voice was cold and emotionless.
