…
Holding on to a cup of fruit wine, Yayoi stood silently in a corner. Her eyes with delicate eyeshadow were staring at a long slender body not far away from her.
She wondered what was said that had made him burst into laughter.
A snigger emerged on her red lips. On her way here, he kept complaining about how he only came because his sister-in-law asked him to accompany her here.
However, his attitude was completely different when he arrived.
He left her alone while he flocked around, drinking and chatting busily like a social butterfly.
Yayoi angrily drank the fruit wine in her cup in one gulp.
“Erm, sweet and delicious.”
She looked around for the waiter so she could get another drink. Suddenly, a familiar figure entered her eyes.
She stopped searching for the waiter and ran toward that figure.
However, there were too many people inside the hall. She lost that person in the blink of an eye.
Huffing and puffing, she searched for that figure among the crowd.
Suddenly, someone patted on her shoulder. She turned around and saw a pair of clear and innocent eyes.
“Are you looking for someone?” the person asked her, smiling brilliantly.
She was stunned before shaking her head. “No, I was looking for the bathroom.”
Looking around her, she smiled helplessly. “This place is so huge that I can’t even find where the bathroom is located. Do you know?”
The girl nodded. “I know. Let me take you there.”
Yayoi did not reject her offer and said, “Thank you so much. Sorry for troubling you.”
The washroom was located in the corner of the convention hall. Unlike the noisy festival, the washroom was incredibly quiet.
Yayoi didn’t rush to the toilet. She merely stared at the girl who brought her there.
The girl felt a little uncomfortable due to her staring. She touched her face, as if something were stuck to it. However, she didn’t find anything there.
Hence, she opened her mouth and asked carefully. “Why are you staring at me like that?”
Yayoi didn’t reply to her, but instead, continued staring. She only opened her mouth after a while of awkward silence. “Are you Leila Shen?”
The girl was stunned before she nodded her head. “Yes, I’m Leila Shen. Is something wrong?”
“Savior.” Yayoi’s eyes lit up as she hugged her.
Leila Shen was frightened by this abrupt action. She believed that she had met a crazy woman and struggled to push her away.
“I’m Rosiley’s close friend, Yayoi.”
Hearing the words “Rosiley”, Leila Shen was stunned. Yayoi continued explaining, “She asked me to come because she wasn’t free. She wanted to come here to see you and thank you personally.”
“Rosiley wants to see me?” Leila Shen frowned as she asked in confusion, “Why does she want to see me?”
Yayoi let her go and retreated, explaining as she smiled, “It was because of the video. If not for your help, others would still think that Rosiley is an evil person.”
“It’s nothing,” Leila Shen replied calmly.
“It might be nothing to you. But to Rosiley, it saved her life. Therefore, she wants to thank you personally.”
“There is no need…” Leila Shen pulled her hands away. She had harmed Rosiley before, and she merely used the video to repay her sins. She didn’t deserve her gratitude.
“I don’t care. You have to see her or she will be upset.”
As she spoke, Yayoi told her Rosiley’s address and convinced her to go before leaving.
Standing in the bathroom, Leila Shen had ambivalent feelings about what Yayoi told her.
