Angel POV.
I woke up energized and ready for the new day, ready to take over the world, but wait the vampires already did that maybe I was better off going back to sleep instead of getting up. I turned to my other shoulder ready to get some extra sleep, and a lot more sleep, I wasn’t ready to wake up yet or get out of bed, I think I had fallen back asleep, I woke up later, I woke to Logan shaking me awake, telling me it’s time to get out from the bed, I whined and groaned.
“Come on baby we got to get to work,” Logan says waking me again.
“Why? The vampire already took over the world, there’s nothing for me to do,” I say wanting to sleep some more.
“Don’t you want to start a mafia? You need to wake up to be able to start a mafia,” Hunter says, I do want to start a mafia, I nod and wake up, my pacifier has disappeared sometime during the night, as did Mr Vixy, that got me panicking.
My eyes went wide and I started to look around for it, the covers were all over the place, three people in one bed and two blankets, I got my own and they got one that they shared, and I shared along with them, the house is cold, I don’t get why they don’t turn the heat up.
“I got your paci,” Logan says helping me search, but it’s not the thing that I’m looking for.
“I got Logan’s suck and your teddy, which one do you need?” Hunter says holding them both in his hand, I took the stuffy out of his hand, I don’t need a sock.
“Is Mr Vixy going to work along with you?” Hunter asks me as he gets out of bed first, I give him a side look, I’m not a child, might have acted like one last night, but not today, I’m up and awake and ready to be me.
“He’s a stuffy, I’m a big girl,” I answer him in a cold voice.
“Watch the attitude, it’s too early for this,” Logan warns me.
“Of course, watch the attitude first the vampires took over and now the world is over, and now I’m supposed to watch my attitude? You watch your attitude vampire,” I say in a whiney voice, I wasn’t very happy this morning.
“Is there something wrong with you?” he asks me raising a brow at me.
“I’m not a baby, but last night… last night,” I say I was hurt by yesterday why did I go that way? Why did I act that way?
“Nothing bad happened last night my Angel, you just had a nice night, why don’t we get up? Get ready for work, we can get Hunter to drive us there, we’ll both be royalty for the day,” Logan says with a big smile on his face.
“I felt different last night,” I confess to him.
“Last night you slipped, you acted and felt like a little, did it feel okay? Did it feel bad? Do you want to talk to Evelyn? Do you want to talk to me? Hunter?” he asks me, if I had my pick, I’d go with Evelyn.
“Am I going to see Evelyn?” I ask him.
“Today at work, she’ll be coming for a meeting, she can spend some extra time with you,” he says with a sad smile, it felt like he wants me to talk to him, but Evelyn understood what I’m going through now.
“Okay,” I agree with him, now I’m up and awake, it’s time to get ready, I left the bed and went to the bathroom, I didn’t have to demand my privacy this time, they let me be, and then I picked my own clothes getting ready for the day, I looked one more time at the bed seeing Mr Vixy sitting there, would she be okay in my absence, I didn’t want to take it along.
I jumped back on the bed, placing it under the cover making sure it’s warm and cozey in my absence, I gave it a kiss on top of it’s head and left the bed ready to take over the world.
“Do you want to have breakfast here? Or on the way?” Hunter asks us wearing his uniform, it’s very sexy on him, I loved it.
“I can do breakfast on the go,” Logan answers him.
“I don’t mind,” I add, it didn’t really matter for me, so we got ready to go, we got to the car and the damn carseat was still there.
“You want to try it? It’s not that bad,” Hunter offers and I shrug, I wasn’t sure if I want to or not.
“It’s just a comfy seat,” Logan offers, I decided to try it, and I can talk to Evelyn about it later on today.
“Come on, let me give you a hand,” Hunter says helping me sit in the seat, it wasn’t meant for very young children like I thought it was, this one was just keeping me sitting in my place with cushion behind me, it’s not the worse, I kept pouting, letting them know I don’t like it.
For breakfast we stopped for starbucks, we got two sandwiches while Hunter got coffee saying it’s breakfast for the courage ones, we both rolled our eyes at him, that’s funny, in a way and definetly wrong. He dropped us at work, and I had to wait for them to get me out of the seat, I couldn’t figure how to open the damn safety belt, Hunter did it easily and I was out and going into work.
I walked toward my office ready to start my day of working, I expected to see Alec and Mia but neither of them were here, so I took my seat and looked around my desk, I didn’t have any work to do, I have to wait for Logan to give me something to do.
“Can I come in,” I heard Evelyn says standing near the door.
“Hai,” I say with a smile on my face, I was happy she’s here and I could talk to her.
“Hello, I was told to come over here, you wanted to see me,” she says.
“Yeah, I had a question, I think,” I answer her, I think I wanted to ask her, but I was just confused about everything.
“Go ahead love,” she says with a smile on her face.
“Last night, last night was weird, Logan thinks I slipped, but I was acting differently, I called them papa and daddy, I sat in Hunter’s lap and we drove, and I don’t know, I was just different,” I say explaining what I’ve been feeling.
“You slipped,” she says.
“I didn’t want to, I didn’t think I could do it, but I did,” I explain to her, I didn’t expect that.
“But it’s the real you,” Evelyn says.
“I feel like yelling, screaming, I can’t do it, I don’t know how or why, I want it to stop, I want to understant it, I’m lost Evelyn,” I explain to her with teary eyes, I couldn’t help it, this whole thing hurts.
“Angel, I’m going to tell you a secret, but you have to promise me not to tell anyone,” she says and I nod, sure I can do that.
“Remember the day you were called into the headquarters? Remember when you had your exam? It was a classification exam,” she explains and I nod, so that’s when they knew I was blue, I looked down at my hand still wearing the same bracelet, how long before I get to take it off? Questions were going off in my head, and I didn’t know the answer to a lot of them.
“You were given an injection, that’s how the classification happens, the injection makes you go into your most primal state, we don’t know if it’s the cause of the radiation after all of these years or it’s the real origin of humans, but you just do. And the injection, they have some interesting side effects, they make you go into the state you’re supposed to be in, in other words, child, you’re acting blue cause that’s who you actually are, like I told you before, enjoy it, live the days, be a baby,” Evelyn says with a smile on her face.
“But am I going to be a baby forever?” I asked her, and that got me worried as well, about my future.
“No, you’ll get to grow up, slowly, we got all the time in the world,” she assures me.
“But I’m human, I’ll die,” I remind her.
“That’s a discussion for another day, now come on, we got a meeting to attend, you’re gonna watch me tear your dada a new hole,” she says with a wink.
“I actually call him Papa,” I say with a chuckle.
“Good for you, I used to call William papi,” she says and I giggled as well, she led the way toward Logan’s office, she knocked and he joined us, we all went into a higher level floor.
“Who’s the meeting with?” I ask them.
“Well miss Mafia leader, we’re meeting the big boss, you should work on your connections,” Logan says.
“She’s a mafia leader?” Evelyn asks.
“Oh hell yes, she is,” Logan answers her.
“I want in,” Evelyn says and I chuckled, she was allowed in definetly in.
“You can,” I say allowing her into the mafia.
“Welcome to the family, you should leave your soul at the door,” Logan says and I chuckled nodding.
We got in a meeting room with Silas, Wolf, and William and the two of us along with other vampires that I don’t recognize, Logan did a whole presentation about the importance of educating everyone about their roles, about being dom and submissive, about how easier life would be when we know what we are and what we are expected to do.
“Like a dom and submissive school?” William asks.
“Well my specialty is littles, so daddies and little,” Logan answered.
“There’s mommies as well,” Wolf scolded him.
“Dom and Little Academy,” I suggest out loud.
“Thank you, mafia leader,” Logan says out loud making me blush.
“Academy is a big word for this, how about you start with dom and little class?” William says.
“We’ll need teachers, better than him,” I say pointing to Logan.
“Evelyn can do that,” William suggests.
“We need students,” Wolf says.
“Most humans want to learn about their new life, they are lost and they deserve to know the truth,” Evelyn says and I nod, she’s right we do.
“Then we are all set, start with the littles, we’ll move to the doms after this trial,” William says as they went into more details.
