Dylan POV.
The taking over went perfectly, I didn’t expect it to be this easy, I expected them to put up a bit more of a fight, to do something, I really hoped that they’d do something, that they’d stand up for themselves, but nothing, we should have known better, humans, and what to expect form them, not a whole of much.
Me and my older brother William and I have been planning for this takeover for a while now, we might have a hand or two, maybe a bit more into getting the nuclear war to start, we knew that we couldn’t take over with all the humans out there, but after getting rid of most of the humans, it was time for us to take over and we did, we took over, we became the one in charge and with one warning and simply the killing of the president.
William decided and was voted to be the one who’d our face, I wasn’t one to love talking out there or tell people the truth, I was the one behind the screen, I was the one who led the powers. We have our system, and the questionnaires we had them taking had another plan behind them, but it wasn’t time for those yet.
It’s not like we haven’t had humans pet before, we knew we wanted to keep some human around, the humans are nice, they are fun to keep, they do serve a purpose in the end.
William told everyone to come over, so we could take care of them, to keep the ones we want and get rid of the rest, we don’t need them all, just the ones that are obedient, poor Angel, she looks like an angel, she sound like an angel, and she’s cute like one. She doesn’t have the best luck out there, I knew she was honest when she said that she didn’t hear William that she didn’t know about the announcement, I have told William that not everyone got TV, not everyone get to watch him the whole day, maybe the phone messages work but even then we had to drag some human in, we had to explain things and we told them to watch the tv, but not all of them had access to it, another reason that we need to take this into our hands, even if that meant dragging them screaming and crying into our facilities and then taking care of them.
I left Angel in her room for the night, she needs some rest and I need some time to get back to my work, the rebles haven’t been taking it easy lately, they think, they try, and they lose to be back in charge, they’re the smallest group out there, with no power or force, they can’t take over anything, they can’t even agree on who’s the one in charge of the whole rebel they’re trying to start.
“Get me William on the line,” I call out as I went back into the office, it’s the president office and as far as the humans know or need, they should know that I’m the military head, William is their favorite spoken man, and they should obey us.
“Brother,” William says through the phone, he was on speaker and all of us were in the office, we need to update him and he needs to tell us how things are going on his end.
“You having any troubles in heaven?” I ask him, I know I lived on the hell side of the city, we’ll end up meeting up but after we manage to purge the whole city.
“Troubles? The worse we got so far was a couple conspireacy theorist but we dealt with the humans can’t be let loose, they have big imagination, it’s fun to watch most days,” William answers me, he’s dealing with the more gentle kind of humans while I have to deal with the rebels.
“That’s good, but one of yours have slipped and it’s on my side now,” I say, I’m pretty sure Angel should be on his side of the city, she took the test and she’s one of the cutest kind of pets you could ever ask for, I can’t wait to explain to her what she really is and get her slipping into her headspace and her place on this earth.
“One of mine have slipped? Impossibe! How did that happen? You turned a rebel into a slave or something?” William asks, he’s a good man, a great vampire boss but he’s not the best at being humble or taking the fact that he might mess up sometimes, I know the war went perfectly as he wanted to, he’s been waiting for too long for this, but his plans aren’t always as perfect as he imagine them to be.
“She missed the announcement, I told you that not eveyrone got access to those, and after your small demonstration of what we’re capable of, you scared the innocent ones as well,” I explain to him yet again, the rebels know what we could do, but the innocent ones, they were taken by him and his character, not anymore I guess.
“Send her my way then,” William says, as if it’s that easy to send a human at night from my point to his, especially in the night, when the human rebel are taking the dark as cover to take us, or at least try to.
“We can’t do that, not at night, you know that,” I say reminding him of the danger of the night, but he just growls through the phone, good thing that I’m not there to see his grumpy face right now, I was just happy to skip that part.
“William she’s in good hands, she’s in my hands,” I remind my brother, we had all kind of pets during our years, one more won’t be too hard for me to handle.
“What code is she?” he asks me.
“She’s code blue,” I say with a big smile on my face, code blue are nice, a bit of fighter, scared at first but they then give up easily. Code green need to be breaken in, while code red need to understand who’s in charge right away, the system works, we know it does but it’s gonna take the humans some time to give in, couple of generation in and they won’t have any troubles following the line of order.
“Damn, how come you get the best code,” he groans and this time I laughed, I love teasing my brother, now teasing him is much better than anything else.
“Call me lucky, about the ones we have here, I’m going to inject them all, if they show signs then keep them and if not…” I say through the phone, although I knew the answer already, but I had to check.
“Kill those, give everyone the shot and keep me updated,” William says.
“Another day in hell,” I answer him, and end the call, I looked at the people who are around here with me, they all knew what job we got.
“Give everyone the shot, let me know how to goes from here,” I yell at my people, the shot is a drug that we have created and been working on for years now, it got just a tiny bit of radioactive elements to it, it’s not bad enough to be cryptonytes but it’s good enough to make the human fall for their instincts, to get them to go primal, and that’s what we need.
“Are you getting your hands dirty tonight princess?” my right hand asks me, Thalia is a cold killer, we call her for when we need to get a job ended quickly.
“Yeah, I’m coming along with you queen,” I say following her, I don’t enjoy doing the clinical work, but I’ll be more than happy to clean the mess afterwards.
We have most f the humans locked in one room, it’s a cell, even the president before us wasn’t that nice, he had some sick kinks, and that’s coming from us, and we’re the lords of kinks. I got in the room with the drugs ready to go, the needles ready to go into the soft skin, but I couldn’t find the human when we walked in.
“Thalia, girl… where did our human go?” I ask her.
“They were here,” she says looking around the room, the lock was broken, and the humans were gone.
“Fuck! Fuck!” I yell at them all, how could they do this, lose all the humans that we had around.
“We’ll find them,” Thalia says running into the house, we have humans on the loose here.
Fuck, Angel! I think to myself and run off to her room, I need to put her in a safe room while we deal with this, they might not find her room, they might ignore her, but they also might hurt her just to get back to us, any accepting human is a bad human for them, and I can’t risk her.
