Rosiley sighed helplessly. “Yes, I’m very disappointed.”
Initially, she had wanted to bring Yayoi and Morphy together, but now it seemed that she did not need to worry too much about it.
Thinking of this, she sighed again. She did not want to be entangled in this matter anymore, so she changed the topic and asked, “Did Tanghai send an invitation to you?”
“Yes.” Sachin caressed the strands of her hair gently. “Do you want to go?”
Rosiley left his embrace. She looked up into his deep, dark gaze, and gave him a sly smile. “In that case, Mr. Lu, would you like to let the public know that you are married?”
Sachin pretended to be surprised and asked, “Weren’t you the one who proposed to keep it a secret for the time being?”
It had indeed been her.
However, the situation then was complicated. Moreover, it was a beneficial marriage and they had no feelings for each other. If they had made it public and made trouble for him, she would have felt guilty.
But now, things were different. They had feelings for each other, and very deep ones at that.
Even though that was the case, if they were to open up to the public…
Rosiley pursed her lips and thought for a while. Eventually, she gave up on the idea. “We’d better not publicize it, or you’ll be exposed to the public.”
If the news was announced publicly, it was bound to make the headlines. Back then, after she exposed Morphy’s relationship, it had remained a hot topic for a few days before dying down slowly. If it had been Sachin…
Rosiley could already imagine what kind of chaos the entirety of Benin City would erupt into.
Just thinking about it was terrifying!
“Then when do you want to tell them?” Sachin asked.
“Well…” Rosiley thought about it seriously and then gave an answer.
“We’ll make it public when the circumstances are right.”
When the circumstances were right? What an ambiguous concept.
Sachin smiled and took her into his arms again. “I’m not as smart as My Lady. Could you explain to me what that means?”
What did he mean by that? He was obviously making fun of her.
However, Rosiley still explained obediently. “Actually, I just said it casually. What I’m really thinking is that when everything calms down, and our relationship does not change, then we can make it public.”
“Our relationship does not change?” Sachin raised his brows. “If there’s a change in our relationship, then it will only be me loving you even more. Even then you won’t make it public?”
After hearing his words, Rosiley then realized that there was something wrong with what she had said.
That was awkward.
Hence, she quickly added, “The change I’m talking about is the bad kind of change.”
“Oh, the bad kind of change.” Sachin pretended to be enlightened and nodded. Then, he said firmly, “There will be no such changes.”
Rosiley raised her brows and muttered, “Who knows for sure?”
Although she said it very softly, he still heard it.
He let go of her, lowered his head, and looked at her with a deep gaze. “Rosiley, what did you just say?”
Rosiley knew that he had heard what she had just said, but she still denied it. “I didn’t say anything.”
“Oh, really?” Sachin narrowed his eyes, and there was a glimmer of dangerous light in his eyes. “You don’t trust me.”
“Huh?” Rosiley was stunned. “It’s not that I don’t trust you.”
To be more precise, she believed in him, but there were always so many variables in life and no one could know what would happen in the next moment. Hence, she cherished every minute and second with him.
Looking at the obviously unhappy expression on his handsome face, Rosiley stretched out her arms and wrapped them around his waist. She leaned her head against his chest and said softly, “Sachin, I might have garnered a thousand lifetimes worth of blessings to be with you. I really treasure this a lot, so why would I not trust you? I just feel uneasy about the future.”
“After all, our identities are so different.” She did not say this sentence out loud, just thought it silently in her heart.
