Chapter 53

Book:The CEO'S Delicate Wife Published:2024-8-24

Olivia tossed around the bed, her eyes fluttering as she couldn’t get a glimpse of sleep. At one point, she sat up, her eyes darting around the entire room, as she grabbed the phone.
Just as she was about to unlock it, a message popped into her phone, it was from an unknown number. She proceeded to read the message.
Unknown number:
Where are you in city M?
She swallowed, her heart pounding fast and hard in her chest, she read the message again, a knowing feeling growing in the depth of her chest.
Olivia had a deep feeling that it was sent by Morgan, as she could feel the authority laced with the messages. She could imagine his deepened brows, as he sent it.
Unknowingly a smile escaped her lips, was Morgan really coming for her?
Her heart warmed with happiness, but was cut short, as she couldn’t think of anything, as to where she was.
All she could remember was being brought to a sea shore, then after that, her eyes were tied, so that she wasn’t able to see.
She got up, and went into the bathroom room, it was then that she noticed a tiny window, it was very small, that even her hands won’t be able to pass through it.
She looked around, searching for something she could use to climb up to the window. There was nothing she could find In the bathroom, so she went back into her room.
The only available thing which she could use to climb was a table, but there were items on the table. She slowly took them away, avoiding to make a sound as she carried the table into the bathroom.
She finally climbed the table, her height reaching to that of the window. She popped her through the window, finally able to see what the surrounding was like.
Everywhere was dark, as the only light making it bright, was the faint lights coming from the building that illuminated the surrounding.
She fell silent, as she tried to listen to the background of the environment, maybe she could hear something that would indicate where she was.
Few minutes passed and all she could hear was the rhythmic sound of waves.
Was the place surrounded with water? Was there any other building around there?
She still couldn’t get any clue on the outlook of the environment. If it was surrounded by water, then she was brought to an island, but yet, there were so many islands in the city.
Olivia returned to the room, she took her phone and texted back.
Olivia:
I was brought blindfolded. All I can hear is the waves, nothing else, maybe I was brought to an island.
She decided to go back to the bathroom the next morning, maybe she could find something else.
It wasn’t long after she sent the message, she received a reply.
Morgan:
There are up to ten islands in city M, think for more clues.
Olivia laid down, feeling sad as she couldn’t think of anything. After minutes of tossing on the bed, she slept off.
Inside a black Benz, Morgan’s gaze was brought to the phone in his hand. He had been waiting for her reply, but none came.
After a brutal torture on Franco, he finally decided to say about Olivia’s location, although he was still holding in some information, Morgan signaled Nicholas leave him for the meantime.
Morgan couldn’t track Olivia’s through his phone, so he took Franco’s phone, which was connected to the location and could easily track Olivia’s phone.
It wasn’t long before they got to City M, but City M was a large city with vast islands, finding the particular area where Olivia was being held was a whole lot of work.
The signal that made it easier to track was disconnected and immediately entered a ship. All signals about her location were disconnected.
Morgan didn’t expect that he’d be this bothered about Olivia’s absence. He wouldn’t have bothered if it was another person, he could easily have any woman he wants, just by saying a word.
But, Olivia was different, her innocence, yet fierce and caring nature was something he was getting used to, which he hasn’t even noticed yet.
Olivia woke up pretty early, as she couldn’t sleep well that night. She used the bathroom, after she came out, it wasn’t long before she heard the unlocking sound of the door.
Not wanting to meet or speak to anyone, she laid on the bed, closing her eyes as she pretended to be asleep.
She heard footsteps, and soon something was dropped on the desk beside her.
Olivia slightly opened her eyes, to see two girls who were dressed in the same attire, they dropped the food and were about to leave, when she coughed, catching their attention.
They paused, exchanged a knowing glance before finally turning to look at Olivia.
“Good morning” they chorused
Olivia could guess that she was probably the same age with these girls or they were older, either way they were young.
“You work here?” She asked, her gaze washing over them.
They nodded, “Yes we do.”
“I Know I shouldn’t be asking you for this, but I need a favor from you.” she stated, making her face look sympathetic.
They girls glanced at themselves, a slight frown forming in their brows. “I’m sorry, but I’m not sure we can help you with any favor.”
The girl with a blonde and very big breast said.
Olivia’s gaze swept past her and fell to the other girl, who hadn’t said anything, she looked like someone who would help.
“I just need to know the name of this place, the address I mean.” Olivia said, glancing at her.
“I’m sorry, but we can’t give out any information, especially not to you.” She spat.
The other girl snorted, with that they left the room. Olivia took a deep breath, expecting that these girls would just betray whoever their boss is, just to please her.
Olivia got up from the bed, she was about to go to the bathroom, when a sharp, yet comfy smell wafted into her nose.
Lavender!
She widened her eyes at the realization that just hit her. Olivia suddenly remembered that, when she was brought out from the ship, there was a heavy scent of Lavender that flooded into her nose.
Maybe this was the island that had a bountiful abundance of lavender plants. With this new realization, she quickly took her phone and texted Morgan.
Olivia:
There’s a strong smell of Lavender, especially when I was brought here.
She was very happy with this piece of information, that she hoped it would help Morgan get to her.
Seconds passed, and Olivia was yet to get a reply from him. Seconds turned to minutes and minutes to hours, yet she didn’t receive a message from Morgan.
“How’s my pumpkin doing?” the electronic voice teased, slightly startling Olivia.
“It’s three days already, you think your fake husband will come?”
Olivia remained silent, not saying a word.
“Is my pumpkin mad at me? Did you miss me? Alright I’m here, don’t get so worked up.” He laughed.
Olivia resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him.
“You know, If I were you, I’d eat. You might run out of energy before your fake husband comes, that’s I’d he’s actually come.”
Olivia didn’t want to say anything to him, so she remained quiet, letting him keep blabbering.
