Olivia was dropped off by Nicholas, Morgan was also in the car, but was heading to the office.
She was directed by the one of the nurses into the doctor’s office.
A middle aged man, with rimless glasses, which covered his small eyes, was seated with a book in his hand.
He glanced at Olivia through his glasses, a smile slowly escaping his lips.
Olivia couldn’t help but smile back. His smile was infectious and reassuring, almost making her forget the turmoil in her heart earlier.
“You came to visit your mom?” He asked.
Olivia nodded, glad that he could remember face, even though she’s only come once.
“Has she woken up?” She asked, glancing at the doctor.
“Not yet. I’m sure she’ll wake up soon, so don’t worry.” He smiled reassuringly.
Olivia’s heart tugged with sadness, but she managed to release a smile and nodded.
“Let’s go then.” he smiled again and got up.
Olivia followed him and went out of the office, heading to mother’s ward. Her mother’s ward was on the top floor, thanks to Morgan, she gets to receive Vip attention and medical care.
They went into the white spacious room, tears welled up in her eyes as soon as she saw her mother. She couldn’t hold back herself and lunged towards her, falling beside the bed as she sobbed hugging her mom’s body.
She was still crying when the doctor left, she didn’t even notice him leaving, as her mother was all that mattered to her right then.
“Mom I missed you, don’t you miss me? If you do, please wake up.” She sobbed, hugging her mother tightly.
Olivia wiped her tears, so she could get a better view of her mother’s face. She could tell they were really taking care of her, because her usual pale face wasn’t as pale as it use to be.
“Mom…” she began, but paused, realizing there was nothing she could tell her mom, without including Morgan and her Contract marriage to him.
No way she was going to let her mother hear any of it, not even about Morgan. Olivia knew her mother would be against it, but she was left with no other option than this.
As much as it broke her heart, she was going to hide everything from her mother, even if it meant lying to her. She was still deep in thought when she slept off.
Later in the afternoon, Olivia was already up from sleep. She held her mom’s hands, staring blankly into the space, when she had the clinking sound of the door.
She turned to see Nicholas standing at the door with a bunch of white lilies held in his hands. She shot him a meaningful glance.
Nicholas took that as an approval walked closer, he smiled softly handling the flowers to Olivia.
“Young master sent these flowers to your mom.”
“Thank you” Olivia mouthed, taking the flower from him.
Morgan must have dug really well into her background, to even know what kind of flowers her mom liked.
She sniffled the flower, a gentle smile escaping her lips. She kept the flowers to lay beside her mother.
“It’s noon already, young master wants me to take you home.”
Olivia nodded, and got up giving her mother one last glance before leaving with Nicholas. She bid goodbye to the doctor and left with Nicholas.
She expected to see Morgan in the car, but he wasn’t there. Although she urged Nicholas, she kept quiet and went into the car.
The drive was silent, until Nicholas drove into a high end Chinese restaurant. Olivia frowned, looking through the rear mirror to look at Nicholas.
“Young master wants me to bring you to have your lunch here.” Nicholas said, holding the out door for her.
Olivia nodded, a soft smile tugging her lips. She had almost forgotten about not tasting anything since morning, and thinking about it now, she was really hungry.
She followed Nicholas into the classic yet luxurious restaurant. Her mouth hung open in awe as to how expensive and extravagant the interior decor was.
Few minutes later, she was done eating and came out with Nicholas, who sat at the other end of the restaurant watching her eat.
She tried persuading him to join her, but he refused politely. Olivia had no other option than to eat alone.
She followed Nicholas out of the restaurant, but before she could get in the car, she was halted by a familiar voice, clouded with hatred and mockery.
“I knew it!” Ava yelled, coming out from where she seemed to be hiding.
Olivia paused and turned to see Ava’s scorn filled face and vicious eyes, glaring daggers at her. She frowned, returning the hateful glare at Ava.
“I knew you were going out with old men to get money, if not how can you come here. You’re not even ashamed to walk around the public with him.” Ava sneered, her gaze flickering to Nicholas and then back to Olivia.
Olivia let out a laugh and shook her head, “You seem to forget things that easily, you know I can beat you again and walk away with it.”
Ava flinched a bit, her fierce gaze flickering with what seemed to be fear, but she smiled, trying to hide the fear in her eyes.
“Are you trying to hide away your promiscuous lifestyle, going out and sleeping with men who are old enough to be your father, huh?”
Slap!
Olivia slapped Ava’s cheek that it turned red immediately, her finger print visible on her cheek
Ava’s cheek stung with pain, her anger and hatred for Olivia becoming intense, as her eyes moistened. Suddenly she laughed scornfully.
“Do you think slapping me would make me shut up, ha! You’re dead wrong. I’d drag you until every Soul knows you’re such a promiscuous woman, who sleeps with old men for money.”
Olivia’s gaze flickered on Nicholas who was standing by the side, waiting for Ava to lay a hand on her.
Truth be told, Nicholas wasn’t even old. He’s in his late thirties, he looked way more mature than his age, with a grim and stoic expression.
His gaze darkened when Ava called him an old man, but he didn’t bat an eyelid at her, his gaze focused on Olivia, who assured him that she could take care of her.
“You know what Ava? You’re just so jobless. I should be asking what you’re doing here, last time I checked, your father can’t even provide a dime talk or giving them out to you to come here.” Olivia sneered with her head held high.
“You!” Ava choked angrily.
Olivia laughed again, “Please Ava entertain yourself, I have little time to waste, especially not on you.”
“Look who’s acting so big now, because you have a rich backer. Don’t be so arrogant.”
The argument between Ava and Olivia was already getting attention from a few people who stood by the side.
“Look, isn’t it the same girl who was slapping someone in the mall? She seemed to like slapping people.” A voice whispered.
“Oh and it’s the same girl. Tsk, such an unlucky girl to get slapped all the time.” Another voice whispered.
“Hold on! Isn’t this the young master’s assistant? I mean look over there!”
Olivia couldn’t stand Ava and the crowd, so she nodded at Nicholas who followed her immediately and went into the car.
“You’re running away now, seems like the young master wouldn’t save you today. You really were lucky the other time.” Ava sneered, slightly gloating.
