The modest bungalow nestled in a cozy, quiet, and natural setting, was the perfect low-profile residence to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Gina, who sat comfortably on the verandah carefully embellished with ornate furnishings, was reminiscing on the recent adventure she had just experienced.
“Tch.. that bitch, I hope she never wakes up” she mumbled to herself with a tone covered in anger and satisfaction. Angry that the supposed bitch had betrayed her but satisfied that she had gotten her sweet revenge. She chuckled heartily as she relished the scent of the chocolate tea she had prepared in a flower-decorated mug.
A heavy knock on the door brought her back to reality.” who’s there?” She asked as she proceeded to the door with caution but all she got was silence except the sound of trees blowing fresh breeze.
The solemn expression on her face morphed into a smile the instant she recognized the unexpected visitor at the door.
“Damien, my darling..” she said in a low seductive voice strong enough to send any man’s groin on fire but Damien here, had come regarding a serious matter” To what do I owe the surprise visit?”
“I just came to confirm something important” Damien replied with a curt tone”Just let me in so we can talk”
Gina’s eyebrow furrowed in shock” What’s that problem that has kept you on your toes, Damien?” she cautiously asked. Damien’s attitude was getting on her nerves but she desperately needed to be calm to maintain their current relationship all achieve her goals.
“What happened to the confidant we planted in the comfort of Liam Callahan?” He queried in a demanding tone. “Make sure your answer is satisfying”
“Well, first of all… The person you’re talking about, that woman, don’t refer to her as how confidant. She is just one of the many pawns we need to play our game safe” Gina clarified in a disdainful but sarcastic tone. Why was Damien interested in that woman when she hired her for the spy job herself?
“So, what did she do that made you orchestrate a car accident for her?” Damien yelled out in anger, the last string of his patience had snapped.”you do know what the consequences of your actions will be if you’re found out, right?”
“Take it easy, Damien. She had already left the care of Liam Callahan, so be rest assured he won’t look for her. He’s manipulative remember?….”Gina explained while patting Damien’s chest in a bid to calm him down. She was shaken to the core, being the first time he had flared up in her presence, but she wasn’t going to reveal any form of weakness. It was like a chess game. All pawns that have no use would be, without hesitation, disposed of.
Gina leaned closer to him, her voice barely above a whisper”I’ve been thinking about you all day, you know?”… Her fingers brushed against his air, sending shivers down his spine. Her clear motive was to seduce him and it was working.
Damien was trying hard to resist but he had become so vulnerable to her advances, that he was beginning to fear that the repercussions would be dire. He shook his head to get rid of all negative assumptions. All that mattered, was achieving his aim and Gina was the right partner for it.
“Did you clean up your mess well enough?” He asked in a hoarse voice as he brushed his hardened body on Gina’s.
“Very well, my love. Very well” Gina’s lips widened in a victorious smile, seeing that her plan had worked perfectly.
Damien brushed his wet lips against her bare neck, his voice barely a whisper”Let’s go inside”
“No dear, why don’t we try it on the couch this time? I’m sure you’ll like it” she suggested with a seductive smile on her fiery red lips. She could feel something poking her on her lower body. She knew he was ready. She led him slowly to the couch while capturing his lips in a fiery hot kiss.
Damien’s hands roamed carelessly around her body until he located the zip of her dress and abruptly pulled it down. Their hips overlapping each other glided in unison as they explored each other, engulfed in pleasure till they had no energy left to expend.
“You’re really good, Gina” Damien complimented the woman lying weakly in his arms, in between heavy breaths and a satisfied smile on his face.
“You aren’t bad yourself” Gina responded as she equally tried to recover her breath. “So, how’s the work on the project Phoenix progressing?”
“Hmph… I must say, Liam is a very brilliant man. Very calculative and precise. I could never have made such plans in a short span as he did. I commend him. But the project is mine now” Damien said as an evil glint flashed through his eyes.
“Ugh ugh… You mean ours” Gina corrected in between feigned coughs.
“Ours, my dear. Ours” Damien responded as he patted her bare back in a bid to soothe her emotions.
“Ring” the ringtone of Damien’s phone rang loudly across the living room.
“The frown on Damien’s face the moment he recognized the caller probed Gina to ask” Who is it?”
Damien hesitated “Nevermind, it’s just….”
Gina snatched the phone from him the moment she sensed his hesitation.
“Rachel… Huh.. haha” Gina bursted into laughter. “This assistant of yours, you two must be very close, right?”
“Of course not, she’s just my assistant” Damien shooked his head vehemently in denial like a child who was caught in the act of theft.” we never had anything going on between us”
“Oh! Really. I wonder how Rachael would feel if she heard that” Gina uttered playfully. It was clear she was enjoying herself.”why don’t you put her in her place?”
“It’s not that easy. She quite useful to me” Damien refuted stubbornly. She was like a half-piece of him. He still had a little bit of affection for her in his heart.
“Damien” Gina pulled his head down to look her in the eyes” I’m not saying you should get rid of her, just distance yourself from her completely. If she keeps meddling, I will have to walk away”
“No, Gina. Wait.. hmm.. fine, I’ll do what you want. But give me time. It’s not that easy again” he negotiated with as he glanced at his ringing phone. “It’s her”
“Pick it” Gina advised. She had convinced him so there was no need keeping him from communicating with her. She marveled at the influence she had over him which was a rare opportunity.
“Hello, Rachael…..”
