Autumn had arrived. Although the weather was still very hot, one could feel the chills from the gentle breeze.
Rosiley leaned against the head of her bed and lowered her gaze as she focused on the book in her hands.
Yayoi had specially borrowed this book for her. She had said that it was a very popular book on the Internet and that it was a very good read.
Actually, it was just a romance novel about a dominant CEO falling in love with a cinderella.
However, she had to admit that it was really a good book. Although the plot was old-fashioned, the author’s language made it less tacky.
She couldn’t help being drawn into the book.
The sun shone through the transparent glass.
Sunlight shone over the whole floor. A mischievous gush of wind crept in through the cracks of the window and stirred up the curtains gently.
The person on the bed looked down at the book and there was a faint smile playing around the corners of her lips. Her expression was gentle and tranquil.
Life was peaceful and perfect.
This thought flashed across Sachin’s mind as he walked into the ward and saw the scene.
He approached her slowly with small strides as a faint smile emerged from the corners of his lips.
“Haha.”
A burst of laughter escaped from her mouth. Her clean and elegant eyes were even more charming with a smile in them.
With a flash of dim light in his eyes, he walked to her side and remained silent.
Perhaps Rosiley had noticed that there was someone beside her. When she turned her head, the first thing that entered her vision were delicate buttons. Her gaze crept up slowly and swept across his sharp jaw, thin lips, nose, and finally, a pair of black eyes that were rippling with a thin, gentle light.
A bright smile blossomed on her face, and she said excitedly, “Sachin, you’re here.”
He nodded. “Yes, I was just worried that you’d be bored, so I came over to keep you company. But…”
His gaze swept across the book in her hand and he suddenly changed the subject. “It seems that you aren’t feeling bored.”
Hearing this, Rosiley looked down at the book and then explained with a smile. “Yayoi lent it to me because she was afraid that I would feel bored.
“It’s a pretty good read.” She closed the book and placed it on the bedside table.
Sachin managed to sneak a peek at the title on the cover and raised his brows slightly.
“The CEO’s Sweet Romance and His Runaway Wife”
Such a title was really hard to explain in a few words.
“Sachin, if you’re here, what about your work?”
Rosiley looked at her watch. It was only three o’clock in the afternoon. Shouldn’t he be in the company at this time?
“Some investors have come to Benin, I had lunch with them.”
“Have you been eating all this time?” Rosiley asked probingly.
Sachin did not answer her directly. He smiled as a way to admit to it.
“What exactly did you guys eat? How could you have been eating for so long?” she muttered in a low voice. She then asked, “Did you drink?”
“Just a little,” he answered truthfully.
She pursed her lips, then moved her butt and made space on half the bed for him. She reached out her hand and patted the empty spot. “Then come up and take a rest.”
He looked at her with a deep gaze and a meaningful smirk spread from the corners of his lips. “My Lady, are you inviting me?”
A tint of frustration arose in her heart. She said angrily, “Even if I did, would you dare to do anything? Don’t forget…”
Before she could finish her words, her vision suddenly darkened and her mouth was sealed by his warm and soft lips.
“Alright then.” All of her dissatisfaction vanished in the blink of an eye.
Who had told her to love him so much?
