Eleanor Mason leapt to the top of a red-leafed tree, her hands swiftly forming a dazzling array of seals. As she wove the seals, gray spiraling patterns appeared in her pupils.
In mid-air, a girl in blue noticed Eleanor Mason’s eyes and felt a momentary daze. When she closed her eyes and reopened them, everything had changed.
Before her was a vast, desolate world with a blood-red moon hanging high in the sky, filling the entire world with a crimson hue. Blood snakes appeared at her feet and suddenly lunged at her.
The girl in blue’s face changed, and she quickly retreated. But it was too late; one of the blood snakes bit her calf. She felt her energy rapidly draining, and her strength quickly fading.
“Enjoy the world I’ve created for you,” Eleanor Mason appeared not far in front of the girl in blue. Hundreds of blood-red arrows formed in front of Eleanor Mason. With a wave of her right hand, the blood arrows shot towards the girl in blue.
Without any suspense, the blood arrows pierced through the girl’s body. Her face turned pale, and crimson blood seeped through her blue clothes.
“Everything here is an illusion, but the pain is very real.” The girl in blue realized that this blood-colored world was an illusion despite the real pain.
“The show is just beginning,” Eleanor Mason sneered, forming seals with her hands. Suddenly, a blood-red flame burst out beneath the girl in blue. She tried to move but found herself completely immobilized.
The blood-red flames began to burn her, and intense pain quickly spread throughout her body. “Enjoy your time here. Once you’re on the brink of death, I’ll search your memories,” Eleanor Mason smirked.
Despite the severe pain, the girl in blue remained clear-headed. “An illusion is still an illusion, always just a petty trick!” she gritted her teeth, enduring the pain as she slowly formed seals with her hands.
“All methods come from the heart; illusions are like dreams, water soothes the mind!” she chanted softly. Suddenly, a wave of blue ripples spread from her body, extinguishing the blood-red flames upon contact.
Eleanor Mason’s face changed as she unleashed more Ninja Power, causing the spirals in her pupils to spin faster. The blood-red flames reignited but were once again extinguished by the blue ripples.
“Break!” the girl in blue shouted as she changed her hand seals. With that command, the blood-colored world shattered like a broken mirror, returning them to reality. The girl in blue was still floating mid-air above a red-leafed tree.
“You broke my Strange-Eye!?” Eleanor Mason’s alluring face showed disbelief. The girl in blue’s face was slightly pale, still feeling traces of pain. Illusions may be false, but pain is real.
The girl in blue looked at Eleanor Mason again and quickly formed seals with her hands. Her internal energy surged out, transforming into a blue water column that shot towards Eleanor Mason.
Eleanor Mason coldly shouted as she released her own Ninja Power, forming a giant blood-red shield. The blue water column struck the shield, which held for seven or eight seconds before shattering. The water column then hit Eleanor Mason, slamming her into the large red-leafed tree and toppling it.
Elsewhere above the red-leafed forest, white and black sword lights clashed dozens of times. Below, branches were severed and scattered on the ground, with some trees split in half.
“This Atraria kid is really tough,” Yoshino Fujiwara thought coldly. Leo attacked while keeping an eye on the situation below. Fire Rose, Thunder Dragon, and others were locked in intense combat with Earth Ninja warriors. Outnumbered, they were at risk if the fight dragged on.
To help Fire Rose and others, Leo needed to defeat Yoshino Fujiwara first. Yoshino Fujiwara also noticed the situation below and saw one of his Earth Ninja clan members killed by Maximillian.
“Kid, it’s time to end this,” Yoshino Fujiwara shouted angrily as he unleashed his Ninja Power into Fudo’s Soul. The sword emitted a strong black light as he swung it, sending countless sword shadows towards Leo.
In an instant, layers of black sword shadows surrounded Leo, making it hard to discern reality from illusion. Leo used his divine sense to clearly track the sword shadows’ trajectories. With divine sense aiding him, no illusion could hide from Leo.
The Divine Dragon Sword emitted a clear dragon roar as it pierced through the black sword shadows towards Yoshino Fujiwara. Shocked, Yoshino Fujiwara quickly blocked with his sword. Though Fudo’s Soul stopped the blade, its powerful energy left a long cut on Yoshino Fujiwara’s cheek.
“Dammit!” Yoshino Fujiwara cursed in pain as he retreated rapidly. Leo seized the opportunity, summoning Nine Abyss Suppresses Evil Peak into his hand. Black mist spread from it, trapping Yoshino Fujiwara momentarily like quicksand.
Though skilled in physical techniques and possessing Heaven Ninja strength, Yoshino Fujiwara’s speed only stalled for a moment-a critical moment in battle. The Divine Dragon Sword slashed towards his throat. Yoshino Fujiwara’s pupils contracted as he urgently ducked under immense pressure.
The sword light grazed his head, cutting off some hair. If he had been slightly slower, his skull would have been cleaved off. Leo gave no respite, launching another fierce attack with his Divine Dragon Sword.
Fear flashed in Yoshino Fujiwara’s eyes as he retreated under Nine Abyss Suppresses Evil Peak’s gravitational pressure. His speed reduced, he couldn’t avoid another slash that left a bloody gash on his chest.
Yoshino Fujiwara groaned in pain as he escaped the gravitational field’s range. Disheveled and bleeding from his face and chest, he looked utterly miserable.
“Damn it! I don’t want to capture you alive anymore; I want you dead!” Yoshino Fujiwara’s face twisted with rage. As a powerful Heaven Ninja, he had never suffered such humiliation.
