Violet’s short sword easily pierced the head of the Bristle Boar. After she withdrew the blade, the massive creature took two steps forward before collapsing with a thud.
“Phew, finally got this big guy,” Violet exhaled, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Leo released the Thunder Wing Beast from his spirit beast pouch, allowing it to feast on the Bristle Boar’s meat. The flesh of such exotic beasts contained considerable energy, beneficial for consumption.
Once the Thunder Wing Beast was full, Leo returned it to the pouch to digest and heal its previous injuries.
Violet sheathed her short sword and glanced at a nearby tree. Underneath it grew two red spirit herbs, marked with flame-like patterns. She walked over and picked them up.
“Leo, it’s two Blazeweeds. Here,” Violet said with a smile, handing them to Leo. This time, Leo accepted them without hesitation.
They continued walking forward. Not far ahead, they heard the fierce barking of animals. Leo looked up and saw two people running frantically about a hundred meters away. One was a man with brown hair, not very tall; the other was a woman in jeans, her top torn, revealing pale skin and some bloodstains.
Behind them were dozens of ferocious hyenas. These hyenas were large, with sharp teeth and agile movements. The leader of the pack had red fur and was as big as the Bristle Boar Violet had just killed.
Hyenas usually hunted in groups, excelling at surrounding their prey. The brown-haired man shouted for help as he ran, especially when he saw Leo and Violet.
Seeing these foreigners leading the hyenas towards them, Leo’s face darkened. “Leo…” Violet looked at him nervously.
“If you dare bring those hyenas here, I will kill you!” Leo’s cold voice carried over to the fleeing pair. His words made them hesitate slightly but did not change their direction as they ran towards Leo and Violet.
“I won’t repeat myself!” Leo extended his right hand, summoning the Divine Dragon Sword. Knowing that the pair were Espers who had entered the Enchanted Realm, Leo was sure they understood him.
Abel had once told Leo that even in peaceful times, Espers from different countries often engaged in conflicts and assassinations. Despite Leo’s warning, the pair did not alter their course.
The Divine Dragon Sword in Leo’s hand emitted a cold light. Sensing his killing intent, the two finally veered off slightly.
“Violet, let’s go,” Leo said, turning to her. She nodded and prepared to follow him away.
“Wait, friend from Atraria, please wait…” The man shouted while using a wind blade to kill a hyena lunging at him.
Leo and Violet ignored him. “Save us, and we’ll tell you about the Atrarian Espers,” the woman yelled urgently.
Leo paused and turned back. “You know where the Atrarian Espers are?”
In the Seven Stars Sword Sect, Leo had promised Abel to look after Thunder Dragon and others in the Enchanted Realm.
“Yes, your Atrarian Espers are in danger,” the woman nodded quickly. She screamed as a hyena slashed her leg.
“Please, save us,” she pleaded while kicking away another hyena.
Leo hesitated briefly before saying coldly, “I’ll save you, but if you’re lying, don’t blame me for killing you.”
With that, he flashed forward with the Divine Dragon Sword, slicing a hyena attacking the woman in half. In moments, several more hyenas lunged at him but met their end swiftly.
Soon, over a dozen hyena corpses lay on the ground. The remaining ones stopped and stared at Leo with blood-red eyes.
The leader barked an order to attack. The hyenas charged at Leo simultaneously. His eyes flashed coldly as he formed a mystical seal with his hands. Spiritual Power surged within him, forming a small sword glowing with white light between his palms.
The Whitespark Blade left his hand and grew to the size of an ordinary sword in the wind. It then multiplied into dozens of blades in mid-air.
With a wave of his hand, Leo sent the Whitespark Blades shooting towards the hyenas. Each blade pierced through a hyena’s body.
In less than ten seconds, the Whitespark Blades vanished, leaving behind a field of hyena corpses and a pungent smell of blood.
The two foreigners were stunned by what they saw. They hadn’t expected this Atrarian to be so powerful. They also felt a chill; if they had ignored Leo earlier, they would be lying dead instead of the hyenas.
Seeing their companions slaughtered instantly, the remaining hyenas were terrified. The leader yelped in fear and fled. The others quickly followed into the woods.
Once all the surviving hyenas disappeared, the two foreigners breathed a sigh of relief. Leo turned to them.
“Thank you for saving us,” the man said quickly.
“Tell me what happened to the Atrarian Espers who entered here,” Leo demanded.
The woman replied, “Your Atrarian Espers entered a valley half an hour ago. There are many spirit fruits there.”
“Orientian Espers also entered that valley. I think your Atrarian Espers will definitely clash with them.”
“Orientians?” Leo’s eyes flashed with anger.
The man added, “Even if your Atrarian Espers don’t clash with them, there are many strange monkeys in that valley that are hard to deal with.”
“Where is this valley?” Leo asked coldly.
The woman pointed in a direction. “That way, about two kilometers.”
“I’ll believe you for now. If I find out you’re lying, you’ll end up like these hyenas,” Leo warned.
“We wouldn’t dare lie,” the man said quickly.
“Violet, let’s go,” Leo said to her.
