The Demon Spirit Leopard reacted quickly, leaping to the side. However, it was still a fraction too slow, and a sharp sword beam slashed a bloody gash on its body. The Demon Spirit Leopard let out a painful howl, its eyes filled with bloodlust as it glared at Leo.
A pale purple flame ignited on the Demon Spirit Leopard’s body, and in the next second, it lunged at Leo with incredible speed.
Leo, wielding the Divine Dragon Sword, struck repeatedly, quickly leaving several bloody wounds on the Demon Spirit Leopard’s body.
The leopard’s howls turned into low whimpers. Realizing it couldn’t defeat Leo, it turned and fled into the forest.
Leo didn’t pursue it. Having already found the Thunder Wing Beast, he needed to find Violet as soon as possible.
He looked at the Thunder Wing Beast and, through telepathy, asked if it knew Violet’s whereabouts. The Thunder Wing Beast glanced in a direction, and a piece of information was transmitted to Leo’s mind.
After a moment of contemplation, Leo took out the Exotic Beast Sack and put the Thunder Wing Beast inside. Then he activated a Windwalking Rune and sped off in the direction indicated by the Thunder Wing Beast.
Leo moved swiftly and soon sensed faint signs of battle ahead. This indicated that someone was there. His eyes flashed with light as he paused and climbed the tallest nearby tree to get a better view.
About five hundred meters ahead in a clearing, he saw someone dressed in purple.
The person wielded an exquisite short sword and was engaged in combat with a large crimson snake.
After a few rounds of fighting, the person in purple crushed a Jade Talisman in their hand. The talisman turned into a green light that sank into the ground.
In the next moment, a thick green vine burst from the ground, entangling the crimson snake.
The person in purple flashed forward and struck the snake’s vital spot with their sword. The snake’s head was severed and fell to the ground, flicking its tongue a few times before it died.
Although Leo couldn’t clearly see the person’s face, he remembered that Violet was wearing purple today. His heart filled with joy.
“This snake was really tough,” Violet said, slightly out of breath as she looked at the fallen crimson snake. “Good thing I had Leo’s Jade Talisman.”
“Hehe, there are actually three Fire Spirit Fruits here,” Violet said happily, her eyes falling on a small tree ahead.
The small tree was covered in lush green leaves, and among them hung three red fruits. Fire Spirit Fruit is a rare Fire Elemental Fruit that blooms once every hundred years and bears fruit once every hundred years.
The fruit’s flesh contains abundant fire energy that can enhance one’s physique and make their spiritual energy purer and more solid.
The crimson snake Violet had killed was guarding those three Fire Spirit Fruits. She walked to the small tree and happily picked the three fruits. After putting them into a small cloth bag, she turned to leave but suddenly tensed up.
Two people had appeared on two trees in front of her, both wearing strange smiles as they looked at her. They were both black men; one was tall and muscular with a bald head, while the other was short and wore yellow clothes with small eyes.
“Didn’t expect to run into an Atraria girl here,” said the bald man with an evil gleam in his eyes.
Violet could sense that these two men were not Martial Cultivators but Espers. The two black men jumped down from the trees, and the small-eyed man said coldly, “We are African Espers. Hand over the spirit fruits you just obtained.”
“Luda, just handing over the spirit fruits won’t be enough,” said the bald man with a grin.
“Kawan, you mean…” The small-eyed man immediately understood what the bald man intended.
“Luda, it’s been a long time since I’ve had any fun. This Atraria girl is very pretty,” Kawan said with evil intent in his eyes.
“Atraria girl, you and the Fire Spirit Fruits are both ours,” Luda said with a wicked smile.
Their words filled Violet with anger and disgust. She knew she couldn’t defeat these two men; her priority was to find Leo. Without hesitation, she crushed another Jade Talisman in her hand, forming transparent wings on her back. With a light flap of the wings, she retreated swiftly.
“This girl has some treasures on her,” Kawan said brightly. “Harry, Haas, why aren’t you two coming out?”
As soon as Kawan finished speaking, two more black men appeared in Violet’s retreat path. They were both thin and looked identical-clearly twins. One had flames dancing on his palm while the other had a water sphere rotating in his hand.
One twin was a fire Esper, and the other was a water Esper. Harry’s flames turned into a crimson fire snake while Haas’s water sphere transformed into a water snake. Both snakes moved rapidly towards Violet.
Her face changed as she stopped and charged forward instead. “Atraria girl, you can’t escape. Surrender now,” Kawan said with an evil smile as he lunged at her like a black panther.
Violet quickly formed hand seals, releasing spiritual energy from her body to create a flaming bird. The bird’s sharp beak pecked at the approaching Kawan. He sneered and punched with his right hand, shattering the flaming bird. However, as it shattered, it still turned into scorching flames that burned his fist.
Kawan winced in pain, his expression changing slightly. “Kawan, this Atraria girl isn’t so easy to catch,” Luda teased.
Kawan snorted angrily, his aura surging as he clawed at Violet’s fair neck with his right hand. Her face turned pale as she reached into her small cloth bag and grabbed several Jade Talismans.
Just as she was about to crush them all to deal with Kawan, a yellowish light flashed before her eyes. A figure appeared in front of her.
Seeing who it was, Violet’s tense expression immediately turned to joy. “Leo!” she exclaimed happily.
Kawan’s clawed hand now aimed for Leo’s neck instead. Leo raised his left hand and caught Kawan’s wrist like an iron clamp.
Kawan’s eyes flashed fiercely as he tried to break free by channeling his energy. But before he could react, Leo’s right hand moved swiftly, leaving a trace of purple light.
Kawan suddenly felt a cold sensation on his neck. He tried to speak but couldn’t utter a word. Then everything before him began to blur and spin as his consciousness quickly faded away with a soft thud.
