Book:Caught between the triplet alphas Published:2024-8-20

LYRA’S POV.
I walked out of my room, going down the stairs as I put my hair up in a bun, I stopped halfway hearing mo… Luna and the alpha’s voice. I bit my lips anxiously at the fact that I almost called her mom when she told me never to call her that again.
I continued down the stairs, trying to make as little noise as possible, not wanting to draw attention to myself.
“I have sent an invitation to all the pack, every first female of the alphas will be present at our sons’ coming of age”. Luna murmured, a hint of excitement in her voice.
She has always been excited when it comes to our birthdays. Most especially the triplets, she would talk about it all week till the day finally comes. Mine was just a month after theirs, I get as much celebration as them well except for the huge party they throw.
“The main goal is for them to find their mate”. Alpha Isaac said, holding his mate’s hand as he stared at her with adoration.
“But I’m scared, Isaac”. She suddenly looked down.
Scared? Why?
“Nothing will Anna, not when I’m still alive”. He assured her, pulling her into a hug.
“But what if Lyra….”.
“Hey baby!”. Silas’ voice echoed around the house, interrupting his mom’s sentence as he walked down towards me but pulling my hair down, tucking the hair tie into his hand.
“I like your hair down”. He said, ruffling my hair, not minding the fact his parents were here.
I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as Silas’ hands touched my hair, his fingers sending shivers down my spine. I tried to brush him off, but he just chuckled and continued to ruffle my hair, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Hey mom”. He said gently, moving towards them in the living room as he took her hand and kissed it.
“Hello father”. He said, his smile dropping.
“Heard you got back last night. I hope you had a bad trip to wherever it is you went”.
“Silas!”. Luna Anna snapped, causing Silas to look at her, his lips widened in a smile.
“Don’t worry, it’s only him. I know you had a great trip”.
“Greeting Luna, shall I serve breakfast now?”. Aunty Lucy, the chef asked.
“Sure Lucy. Thank you”. Luna Anna responded smiling.
“Silas, go call your brothers. Lyra, come on let’s eat”. She said.
I nodded, following Luna Anna into the dining room. Silas fell into step beside me, his hand brushing against mine. I felt a spark of electricity at the touch, and my heart skipped a beat.
As we entered the dining room, the delicious aroma of breakfast filled my senses. Aunty Lucy had outdone herself, with a spread of pancakes, waffles, eggs, and bacon.
Silas took his seat at the table, Ezra and zayn, already there, arguing over something in hushed tones. I took my seat next to Silas, trying to focus on the food and not the way his leg was touching mine under the table.
Ezra took a quick glance at me, smiling softly.
Luna Anna smiled, surveying the table. “Let’s eat, shall we? We have a lot to discuss today.”
“Lyra, come sit here”. Zayn said, the command in his tone evident. I looked up as he stood up from his seat, moving to mine. If I agree I will be sitting between him, Silas and Ezra, and I know Silas of all people won’t keep his hand to himself.
“No, thank you. I’m fine here”.
“I wasn’t asking you, I’m telling you”. He said, pulling me up from my seat.
“Zayn, what..”.
“Don’t start father, let’s have breakfast in peace. It’s the weekend, let’s have a family time together without any argument”. He interrupted his father.
Alpha Isaac said nothing. I felt a surge of discomfort as Zayn pulled me up from my seat, his grip firm but not ungentle. I didn’t want to be sandwiched between him, Silas, and Ezra, especially with Silas’ tendency to touch me without boundaries.
But before I could protest further, Zayn had already seated me between them, his eyes flashing with a warning to stay put. I felt trapped, with Silas’ leg touching mine on one side and Ezra’s arm brushing against me on the other, my body slowly reacting to their touch.
“Pancake?”. Silas asked.
“Hmm”. I replied, nodding.
Silas smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and served me a fluffy pancake from the stack. His fingers brushed against mine as he handed me the plate, sending a shiver down my spine.
Ezra, on the other side, poured me a glass of fresh orange juice, his arm touching mine as he reached for the pitcher. I felt a spark of electricity at the contact, my heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves.
Zayn, meanwhile, sat back in his chair, his eyes fixed on me with an intensity that made me squirm. I could sense his gaze like a physical touch, making my skin prickle with awareness.
I took a bite of the pancake, trying to focus on the sweet, fluffy texture and not the three pairs of eyes fixed on me. But it was no use. I was trapped in a web of tension, with no escape from the sensations and emotions swirling around me.
“Lyra, what do you think of the ceremony plans?” Luna Anna asked, breaking the silence.
I swallowed my bite, trying to compose myself. “I-I think they sound great,” I stuttered, my voice barely above a whisper.
“I have invited over twenty alphas’ daughters to my sons coming of age, I hoped they would find their mate on that day”.
I bit into my pancake hard, I know she was purposely saying this. Perhaps to hurt my feelings? Or to remind me of my place.
“That’s not necessary..”.
“That’s great Luna, you should invite princess Emily too, the only daughter of alpha smith, from the moon stone pack. I heard the triplets once dated her”.
