Aurelia put the thought from her mind.
After posting the update, she put down her phone, hummed a little tune, and went to the bathroom to wash up.
When she changed her clothes and went downstairs, she found she got a lot of comments and direct messages on WhatsApp.
One of her female classmates said, “Aurelia, you really live with a man!”
Another classmate texted, “This guy has a really great body. Aurelia, please introduce him to me.”
Cathy texted, “Is Mr. Finnegan great in bed? Huh?”, A smirk emoji was at the end of the text.
Liana said, “Aurelia, I’ll level with you! I’ve been coveting your husband’s beauty for a long time. Do you need a nanny? The kind that can warm the bed.” It was followed by a shy emoji.
And Briar’s message was like, “Sheridan Buddy, I really admire you. You can get the title of Madam of the Finnegan Clan and climb into Callum’s bed. I have decided that I must ride your coattail!”
Larry texted, “Tell me what Liana texted you.”
Aurelia had many friends on WhatsApp. Her hands were sore from scrolling through the comments and messages.
She didn’t expect that Callum’s back would cause such a sensation. What if she took a picture of him from the front? Her phone would definitely explode on the spot!
Later, she found that someone had already taken a screenshot of her update and posted their updates.
“Headline news from the School of Economics and Management: Aurelia is living with a man! The evidence is solid!”
“I saw this on my friend’s social media this morning. Who is this handsome guy?”
“Oh, if I had a boyfriend with such a great figure, I could skip classes every day.”
Where things were headed was beyond Aurelia’s expectations.
Her first reaction was to delete it, but if she deleted it now, wouldn’t it be a cover-up? After thinking for a while, she quickly posted another update. “You all misunderstood. I searched for this photo on the Internet.”
Evelyn left a comment down below, in seconds. “I knew it!”
Aurelia was speechless.
In this case, she replied to Evelyn individually, “But I know this man, and we have a good relationship.”
She and Evelyn didn’t have many mutual friends, and Aurelia didn’t think anyone would be bored enough to read through the hundreds of comments on her post one by one.
Evelyn thought of Callum for a moment. Jealousy spread wildly in her heart, and she assured herself, “No, Mr. Finnegan would never be interested in Aurelia.”
Aurelia couldn’t read all the messages on WhatsApp. Although today was Saturday, she had promised her friends to go shopping yesterday. She turned her phone to silent mode and went downstairs.
Downstairs, Mary opened the door of the villa for Callum, and Aurelia quickly chased after him and called out, “Callum!”
The man turned around, waiting for her next words.
Mary laughed and rebuked Aurelia, “Maybe you should call Mr. Finnegan in an affectionate way, Aurelia. Don’t young people call their husbands ‘Honey’?”
Aurelia blushed and pulled Mary over. Mary looked as if she understood. “I’ll give you two some privacy, so you two can talk slowly.”
After Mary left, Aurelia said, “Can I take a leave of absence from dance class this afternoon? I want to hang out with my friends!”
The dance teacher knew Callum, so she didn’t dare to make the decision on her own, so she had to ask Callum for leave.
“With whom?” the man asked solemnly.
Aurelia sighed quietly, “Who else could it be besides Briar and the others?” She didn’t have many friends, and the only ones she could go shopping with often were Briar and the others.
“Don’t have any contact with him in the future!” Briar was a pain in the ass. Aurelia had a bad temper, and so did he. He wouldn’t be surprised if the two of them had torn down the club last night.
Huh? Aurelia was a little confused.
Callum glanced at the watch on his wrist before saying, “I’ll arrange a private room for you on the fifth floor of Alioth at noon. I’ll have Jim contact you then.”
So did he agree?
Aurelia gave him a big smile. “Okay, do you need me to bring you anything?” However, she regretted it as soon as she asked. A man like Callum definitely had everything.
“Yes.”
His answer really surprised Aurelia. “Huh? What do you want me to bring?”
Callum left the villa after saying two words, leaving Aurelia alone and dazed.
He actually asked her to bring him…
In EliteMart.
When they met, Briar complained, yawning, “Hey, three ladies, please give me a break. What kind of crappy movie was that?”
After he left the club last night, Alex dragged him out for a drink, and he didn’t get home until two or three in the morning. He had only slept for a few hours when he was called out by these people.
A movie starring Aurelia and Cathy’s favourite actor was released today. As hard-core fans, how could they not come and watch it?
“Why don’t you go back first?” Aurelia suggested seriously.
Briar nodded, ready to leave. He was really sleepy.
The moment he turned around, Aurelia told Cathy beside her, “We will go to the fifth floor of Alioth at noon. Callum has made an appointment for us.”
Briar immediately closed his mouth that was wide open due to yawning, and looked at Aurelia excitedly before saying, “Really? Didn’t your husband have someone throw you out of Alioth last time?”
Cathy patted his shoulder and said, “At that time, Mr. Finnegan didn’t know about Aurelia’s relationship with him!” Aurelia had already told Cathy and Liana about what happened between her and Callum.
Larry more or less knew the whole story from Liana, but Briar knew nothing, so he asked this question.
“Don’t he know their relationship?” Briar was stunned by these words.
Didn’t Callum know Aurelia was his wife? No way! Despite most of the marriages between wealthy families being marriages of convenience, how could they not to know who their spouse was?
Aurelia saw a brand store and turned to Briar, rolling her eyes. “Anyway, Callum and I are already married. There is no need to talk about this. Since I’m going to treat you to lunch today, can you buy something for me later?”
“Okay!” Briar agreed without hesitation.
When he came out of the store carrying a box of men’s underwear, he looked at the proud Aurelia with tears in his eyes, “Why did you ask me to buy your husband underwear? Don’t you think this is weird?”
Briar couldn’t believe he was buying underwear for another man. And the man was Callum!
Why did he feel like he was being tricked by Aurelia?
