Callum was silent.
“If you don’t call, I will. I have Rory’s phone number.” With that, she started to dial Rory’s number.
“He won’t call the lawyer without my personal instruction,” he finally spoke.
“Then give the order quickly!”
“Keep your eyes on the road. Plus, any decision I make will not be easily changed.”
The traffic light turned green, and Aurelia had to focus on driving first. “What do you want to eat?” She should ask him first. After all, he was the boss.
“Anything is fine.”
“Okay.” So why bother asking?
Aurelia parked the car on the side of the road.
They got out of the car, and Callum looked at the diner in front of him with a rather unhappy expression.
Aurelia smiled and pointed at the diner before saying, “I tried my best to find a better restaurant, but when I saw the pizza advertisement on the way, I suddenly wanted to eat pizza.”
In fact, the diner Aurelia chose was the best pizza chain in Evercrest, and its pizzas were pretty good in all aspects. Otherwise, how could it be so popular among the youth? But for Callum, it was no different from a street stall.
After waiting for a long while, Callum finally walked towards the restaurant door with a dignified step.
Aurelia quickly followed and entered the restaurant together.
It was past eight o’clock and there were still a lot of people. Under the gaze of many people, the two found a seat by the window and sat down.
The waiter’s eyes widened when he saw Callum. Aurelia flipped through the menu speechlessly and ordered a few of the dishes she wanted to eat. “I want a large durian pizza and durian crepe cake. What about you, Callum?”
Placing the menu in front of Callum, the man pushed it away without even glancing at it, “I’ve already eaten.”
“What?” Aurelia was a little surprised. So, was he specially accompanying her out for dinner?
When she thought of this possibility, she suddenly felt moved.
After the waiter left, Aurelia felt that she needed to talk to him. She tapped the table lightly and looked at the man opposite her. “I’m not a good girl.”
“I know.”
Aurelia parted her lips in astonishment. Her face flushed as she was gagged by his two words.
Callum added, “It’s okay.” He was changing her for the better.
She didn’t want to argue with him. She leaned forward and told him seriously, “If you let me take over the club, I promise that within half a year, maybe three months, it will go out of business!”
He leaned forward, and his deep, magnetic voice echoed in her ears. “All you need is to wait for the money to roll in. You don’t have to worry about other problems.”
Since Callum transferred the ownership to her, Aurelia now was the boss of the club.
Why was he so considerate? She felt she was almost swept off her feet by Callum.
She blushed and distanced herself from him. “How about this? If you reverse your decision to let me take over the club, I’ll consider not divorcing you.” She wasn’t stupid. If she thought about it carefully, it was not bad to have a good husband like Callum.
He looked at her. Very good! She had already decided not to divorce him. “It’s not negotiable. Besides, I don’t think you have the ability to negotiate with me. I’m telling you clearly now that the club is yours, and there will be no divorce!”
Did he have to be so overbearing?
The first served was the durian pizza. Aurelia looked at the bright yellow pizza, her mouth was watering. She picked up the pizza cutter and prepared to start the fight!
Just as she raised her hand, the pizza cutter in her hand was taken away by the man.
Callum had rolled up his shirt sleeves at some point, and was now cutting the pizza with a pizza cutter, gracefully and skillfully.
A slice of pizza fell on the plate in front of her. Aurelia looked at the hot pizza in front of her, feeling deeply touched. Everything seemed too surreal to her.
Over the years, she appeared to be strong and carefree, and such a thing as being taken care of by a man had never happened to her.
Even though Briar and she had gone out for pizza many times, they basically ate separately.
Or Liam, who had been her boyfriend for two years, had never eaten pizzas with her. And in fact, she was the one who put more effort into that relationship.
“Why don’t you eat?” As Callum finished speaking, the large piece of pizza had been divided into small pieces by him.
He put down the pizza cutter in his hand and looked at Aurelia with doubts.
Aurelia’s expression returned to normal after she came back to her senses. She picked up the fork, stabbed the pizza and tasted it slowly. After a few bites, she realized that Callum hadn’t touched the pizza. “Would you like to have some?”
But Callum had pushed the cutlery far away from him. She held the fork in one hand and tried to get the cutlery for him with the other.
“No thanks.” Callum refused.
He never ate anything that looked weird and smelt strong.
“But this pizza is for two people.” Although she had a big appetite, she may not be able to finish a large pizza plus other food alone.
Callum’s eyes fell on the pizza on her fork, which had been bitten two or three times. He raised his arm and the pizza on her fork fell into his mouth.
Aurelia said in shock, “Wait! That’s what I ate…”
He took a napkin and wiped his mouth. He chewed it a few times and swallowed it before speaking, “I know.”
All the pizza Aurelia ate from then on was placed piece by piece on her plate by Callum.
Aurelia was really hungry. In the end, she ate all the food she ordered.
Looking at the empty plates on the table, Aurelia asked him sheepishly, “Did I eat too much?” Many people said that she had a big appetite.
Because of this, some girls made fun of Aurelia, saying she ate like a horse.
“Yeah.” He didn’t deny it.
He had dined with quite a few women before, and to be honest, what Aurelia ate tonight was enough for them to eat for several days.
Aurelia felt a little lost, thinking maybe he would look down on her too.
Callum took another napkin and wiped the corners of her mouth before adding, “This is a good thing to eat more.”
There was no sarcasm or insincerity in his words. On the contrary, she could feel that he was praising her.
For some reason, Aurelia was very happy.
She felt like she must be crazy. Callum just said something her father once said and she couldn’t help laughing.
If Niall saw her like this, he would definitely complain about her. After all, she had never been so happy when Niall said the same thing to her.
It was already past ten o’clock in the evening when they came out of the diner. Callum walked to the store next door and bought two bottles of purified water. He handed her one and said, “Rinse your mouth.”
