The dance teacher walked over to Aurelia elegantly and smiled at her. “Hello, you must be Aurelia!”
Aurelia nodded excitedly, “Nice to meet you!”
They shook hands and had a good first impression of each other. The dance teacher introduced herself first. “My name is Ethan Serene. I just graduated from college not long ago, but I have been studying dance for nearly 20 years and have been teaching dance for four years.”
“That’s a great name! Your parents gave you a wonderful name!” Aurelia guessed that Ethan ‘s parents must be scholars.
Ethan chuckled, “Well, my mom is a language teacher, and my dad is a literature professor.” When Ethan talked about her parents, her eyes were full of pride.
With the help of Ethan, an excellent dance teacher, even a carefree and impetuous girl like Aurelia became a little gentler.
Because Aurelia had exercised martial arts, it was easy for her to master the basic dancing skills.
After a class lasting an hour and a half, Aurelia felt very fulfilling.
After Ethan changed out of her dancing outfit, Aurelia sent her to the door of the villa, “Goodbye, Ms. Serene!”
“Well, thank you. I’ll see you in the next class!”
“Okay, bye.”
After Ethan left, Aurelia half collapsed on the sofa. She had to go to school later. She had Callum’s class in the afternoon, and she couldn’t play hooky. Oh, she was so tired of being controlled by Callum.
Wasn’t Callum busy? Time was money. Why would he waste his precious time in school? Aurelia really didn’t understand.
Callum’s class was in the afternoon. To avoid irritating him, Aurelia decided not to go against him. She walked to the classroom obediently with a textbook in one hand and an ice cream in the other.
Lost in though, Aurelia was still walking slowly along the avenue of the school, even though the bell rang for a long time.
She took a shortcut through the playground to the classroom.
The phone in her pocket buzzed. She took it out and saw that it was Briar who sent a WhatsApp message in the group. “Sheridan Buddy, where are you? You’re already three minutes late for Mr. Finnegan’s class.”
As Aurelia realized the time, she licked her ice cream nervously, ready to run over. But on second thought, she decided to forget it, since she was already late. Three minutes or ten minutes wouldn’t make any difference.
She licked the ice cream while texting Briar back. “I’m on my way to the classroom. I’ll be there soon.”
Message sent.
“Miss Sheridan, is the ice cream delicious?” A familiar and cold voice sounded, making Aurelia almost choke.
Callum? Why did he just pop out of nowhere? Why was there not a sound?
Looking up at him, Aurelia was stunned. It wasn’t just Callum who appeared in front of her. Her classmates were also there, lining up in the middle of the playground.
What were they doing?
“It tastes good, right?” he repeated.
Aurelia nodded stupidly. It was so expensive! How could it not taste good?
There were snickers among the students. They were wondering why Aurelia had become so stupid!
Callum’s expression remained unchanged as he pointed at a large tree not far away and said under his breath, “Stand there and enjoy your ice cream!”
Aurelia walked towards the tree, stood in the sun, and slowly ate her ice cream, watching Callum adjust everyone’s standing posture leisurely.
Callum’s standing posture was very standard. Did he ever serve in the military?
As soon as she finished the ice cream, Callum called over. “Since it’s delicious, now go buy each of the students ice cream.”
“What? I…”
Callum didn’t even give her a chance to say no. “If you refuse, your classmates will have to run 20 laps around the playground!”
Twenty laps? That would be 8, 000 meters in total! The students freaked out upon hearing Callum’s words.
“Aurelia, you are a long-distance running champion and a marathon runner-up, but we are not!”
“You can’t do this to us!”
“Yeah! Go buy us ice cream! Aren’t you rich?”
“Don’t be stingy!”
Aurelia couldn’t believe her ears. She felt that if she didn’t buy them ice cream today, she would become the most stingy person in the world.
But the ice cream costs 50 dollars, and there were about 100 students in today’s class!
So, now she either had to run 8, 000 meters with her classmates, or spend 5, 000 dollars to buy ice cream…
Damn it! Callum was so cruel!
She glared at the expressionless man, cleared her throat and shouted, “Is there anyone willing to run 20 laps with me?” She had to be thrifty and save some money, since she became poor after buying Callum the gift.
For her, running more than 8, 000 meters still seemed possible. But it was just for her, not for others.
This time, the students were particularly united and responded in unison, “No way!”
Jim, who was not far away, saw the scene clearly.
He held back his smile, looking at Aurelia, who was reluctant to buy ice cream, and couldn’t help but admire Callum. On the surface, Callum punished Aurelia by making her buy all the classmates ice cream.
In fact, Callum intended to let Aurelia use his money to treat everyone to ice cream.
However, Aurelia couldn’t figure the whole thing out, since she didn’t remember her money was from Callum in the first place.
After swiping her bank card, Aurelia thought she was broke.
Watching her classmates eat ice cream, she felt like crying. Why was Callum so mean to her?
Sitting on the playground, Aurelia rested her chin on her hands. Her classmates were very excited because many of them had never tasted such expensive ice cream.
It was Aurelia who paid the money. But why did many female classmates surround Callum and keep thanking him?
It was natural for them to thank Callum if they knew the money she paid for the ice cream was from Callum, but the point was none of her classmates knew!
The money she just spent belonged to Callum.
Thinking of this, she jumped up and ran towards Callum.
“Coming through!” Aurelia pushed aside the girls surrounding him and stood in front of Callum.
