Elena
Elena. I felt a hand on my cheek. God, you’re fucking adorable when you’re sleeping.
What ? I grumbled.
I’m heading out, okay ?
I rubbed my eyes and looked up to see him sitting on the edge of the bed, already dressed in one of his suits.
I need to pick up a friend from the airport. I nodded sleepily, and he leaned down to kiss my forehead. Sleep, mo ghra amhain.
Oisin.
I reached for his hand before he could leave, and he gave me an odd look. I was still sluggish ; it felt like we had just fallen asleep. It was still dark in the room, and the light coming in from the bathroom was still dim.
I rubbed my eyes, and he didn’t look impatient as he waited for me. I placed his arm around my waist and pulled him to my chest. His hand rested on my back as he hugged me back. I let out a soft sigh, and he kissed the side of my head.
Are you going to be coming back to the house ? I asked when he pulled away from each other.
No, I’m going to be out all day.
He caressed my cheeks with the back of his hand before cupping my head. He reeled me close so he could kiss my forehead tenderly.
Be safe, I whispered.
Don’t worry about me, mo ghra amhain. I’ll always come home to you.
I wanted to kiss him, and I could tell he wanted to lose himself in me as well, but it was like he was waiting for me to make the first move.
Do you want me to kiss you ? I murmured, looking up at him.
You ask too many stupid questions. He rasped, losing patience, and then slammed his lips onto mine. Baby, open your mouth for me. He groaned, and I parted my lips for him on command.
We barely had a moment to ourselves before his phone began to ring. I clung to the sides of his collar and urged him not to stop, and thankfully, he didn’t. Instead, he kissed me harder, his hand fully wrapped around my throat as he dominated me. I loved when he did this.
He wasn’t choking me but giving me a gentle reminder that I was his. Of course, I wouldn’t mind if he did choke me, but having this hand there all wrapped around my throat made me feel things.
Finally, his phone stopped ringing, and a moment passed before someone barged inside the room.
Oisin, where-
We broke apart before he could finish his question. He looked amused as he stood there with his hands in his pockets.
We’re going to be late, cousin. I kept my head down while Oisin said something to him in Irish, causing him to laugh. I’ll be in the car. Say your goodbyes, but make it fast.
He lifted my chin and kissed my lips chastely. I’ll see you tonight. Be good, mo ghra amhain.
I will.
I walked him to the door, and it felt weird saying goodbye. I didn’t want him to go. I wanted him to spend all his time with me, and my clinginess showed when I refused to drop his hand.
Do you have to go ? I asked with a pout.
I do. I hate that I have to, but I made a promise. I’ll see you tonight. He repeated.
We shared one last desperate kiss before he pried himself away from me. Reluctantly, he dropped my hand, not before kissing it all over, and then walked out of the room and disappeared down the hall.
I walked back inside, curled up on his bedsheets, with his scent surrounding me, and closed my eyes as I slowly fell asleep.

Fiona, I was wondering if you could call Oisin for me ? I asked her.
She set the laundry basket down and pulled out her phone. Dialing his number, she handed it to me.
Thank you. It took him a while to finally pick up.
Yes, Fiona.
It’s me.
Oh. I need to get you a phone. He mumbled. What is it, baby ?
I was wondering if you would be home for dinner.
He chuckled lightly, and I couldn’t hold back my smile at the sound.
Is that your subtle way of telling me you want to cook dinner for me ?
Yes.
Thing is, I wouldn’t be alone. Liam and Suarez would be coming home with me. So it won’t be romantic.
I don’t mind. I haven’t cooked in a while, and I miss it. I can make enough for all of you. I suggested. I’d probably have to send someone to get more groceries, but I don’t mind.
If you want to, then okay. Go for it.
I do want to. Are Liam and Suarez going to spend the night ?
Liam’s heading home, but Suarez is staying in the guest room. He clarified.
I could hear voices coming in from his side, and his Irish came out as he spoke to who I guessed was Liam.
Elena, I have to go. I’ll see you tonight. Just write what you need for Connor, and he’ll get it for you.
Okay, be safe.
You worrying about me is getting my dick hard, baby. He said casually, and I had to ignore the flutter in my chest and my core. Be good, mo ghra amhain.
Bye. I was breathless when I handed Fiona the phone.
She didn’t comment, instead choosing to continue with her work. I went to the kitchen and looked through everything to see what ingredients I needed for dinner. When Oisin came home for dinner, it was usually around ten o clock.
It was only noontime, and I had barely just woken up, so after writing the list and handing it to Connor, I made a late breakfast for myself. Aofie had her lessons today and was upstairs with Ms. Mary for another few hours.
I truly missed cooking and being in the kitchen. I missed the measuring, the whisking, the smell, and the taste. I just wanted to stand in it all day, even if it meant doing nothing. Everyone had something in their life that brought them comfort or even a sole purpose in life.
Mine was cooking and baking. It felt like second nature, and I enjoyed the calmness it brought to my soul and mind. I loved baking sweets more than cooking, which showed in my thighs, but life was short, and nothing beat a sweet treat.
I wanted to go all out for tonight. I had this weird sense of wanting to make Oisin proud of me. To show him that I could play my part as his wife and cook a nice dinner for him and his friends. I know that seemed stereotypical, but I didn’t mind being a housewife.
I didn’t mind creating a fuss in the kitchen or slaving over the stove all day. It was always the aftermath that truly mattered. It’s when they take that first bite and see their eyes close or their lips spread out as they enjoy it.
It’s seeing them speak through bites or praise me about how great the food tasted. Nothing filled me with pride and joy more than seeing someone enjoy my cooking. I was planning on making baked ziti, roasted asparagus, garlic bread, and a Caprese salad for dinner.
