It was a crisp Monday morning, and Rachel, the talented perfumer, was immersed in her mini production office. She had been working tirelessly on creating a new perfume, experimenting with different scents and ingredients.
As she delicately mixed the fragrances together, her mind was focused and determined. She didn’t want what had happened during the weekends stop her from concentrating on her work, she was determined to create a perfume which aids for sleeping and warding off nightmares.
She was determined to create it, but somewhere at the back of her mind she couldn’t stop thinking about the kiss she shared with Zech, she shook her head slightly, he rejected me so you can’t be soft she told herself.
She close her eyes and opened them trying to focus, but then the room was filled wonderful colors, she knew this was related to the scent that filled the room, she didn’t know why and how she could see this but it helped her understand what she was doing all the more, she was still stunned at what was really happening to her, she knew she didn’t have a wolf to begin with.
Suddenly, the door to Rachel’s office swung open, and Bella, her new friends and fellow scientist, rushed in with an air of excitement. Snapping her from her thoughts, Bella’s eyes sparkled with a newfound discovery, and she could hardly contain herself, she launched herself first and hugged Bella.
“I missed you” she said Rachel felt a the Sense of familiarity and warmth, she smiled at her sincerely “I miss you too” she was really happy at the way Bella was comfortable with her.
“Rachel, you won’t believe what I found!” Bella exclaimed, her voice filled with enthusiasm.
Curiosity piqued, Rachel set aside her perfume project and turned her full attention to Bella. “What is it?” she asked, her voice tinged with anticipation, she couldn’t wait to hear the news Bella had installed for her, bet she seemed to have an ink of what it would be.
Bella took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. “I think I’ve found the secret ingredients to complete the mono berry cure,” she revealed, a mixture of excitement and sadness evident in her voice, her face filled with happiness.
Rachel’s eyes widened with astonishment. The mono berry cure had been her goal since the day her mother passed on
When she came to the office and found someone who shared the same call with her she was so pleased, Bella had promised her to help her research about the cure, she herself had been looking for the secret ingredients, but each time she tried she failed over and over.
It was a groundbreaking remedy that could potentially cure the deadly poison which could kill one within minutes, it had been said that it didn’t have a cure but now Bella did it, they had always been missing a crucial component. The fact that Bella had stumbled upon the secret ingredients was nothing short of a miracle, tears of joy rolled down Rachel’s eyes as she pulled Bella in for a hug, She had finally found the secret to cure after many years. “Thank you Bella”. Bella smiled but she was a little sad for her.
However, Bella’s sadness caught Rachel off guard. “What’s wrong, Bella? Shouldn’t we be celebrating?” Rachel asked, her concern evident.
Bella sighed, her excitement dampened by uncertainty. “I found the ingredients, but I have no idea how to finish the cure or the quantity required. It’s like finding a missing piece to a puzzle, but not knowing how it fits. I don’t want you to feel disappointed,” she explained, frustration lacing her words.
Rachel’s determination kicked in, and she reassured Bella, ” No Bella, i can’t be disappointed, you made a breakthrough and that Something i am grateful to you about, don’t worry, Bella. We’ll figure it out together. We will face this together as friends and as a team, I believe I will be able to succeed together”.
With newfound hope, Rachel and Bella spent the entire day researching and experimenting. They scoured scientific journals, consulted experts, and tried various methods to unlock the mystery behind the mono berry cure. They mixed different quantities of the secret ingredients, carefully documenting their findings, but the desired result eluded them, it wasn’t going to be easy but they weren’t going to give up.
Meanwhile, Zech was told about the new Bella told Rachel earlier, but he didn’t understand why she was interested in creating a cure for some poisons, but he could sense it was important to her.
He sent someone to call Rachel, hoping to question her more regarding its cure and ask her a few questions on why she decided to do that. However, the message fell on deaf ears as Rachel was completely engrossed in her quest for the cure, and she didn’t want to have anything to do with him not after what he did, but Zech wasn’t ready to give up just yet.
Growing impatient, Zech decided to take matters into his own hands. He made his way to Rachel’s mini office, determined to find her personally. As he walked through the corridors of the research facility, his mind raced with thoughts of what the mono berry cure could mean for humanity, he knew it was a poison without cure, but if they found the cure his company would raise without bounds, as a business man he was he still cared for profits too money was important to him right now.
Finally, Zech arrived at Rachel’s office, his face a mixture of concern and determination. He knocked on the door, but there was no response. He turned the doorknob and stepped inside, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Rachel and Bella, huddled together, deep in conversation, he frowned a little and asked Bella to leave the room, she stood up Rachel reluctantly left her hand before she left leaving the two in the office.
“Rachel, you left the house this morning, you didn’t let the chauffeur drop you off, now I requested your presence but it did not oblige. What is wrong with you?” Zech asked, his voice filled with anger and concern.
“I’m sorry Mr Oliver if I have caused you to be concerned, but I am perfectly fine on my own, I was to busy so I forgot you called for me, my apologies Sir” she said cold with a plain face, slightly bowing her head in respect, Zech was so pissed at the way she talks and addresses him, it made his blood boil.
“I heard you stopped the production of a new perfume, to create a cure?” he asked her
Startled, Rachel look at him wondering how he knew about it, she first scanned her surrounding to make sure there weren’t any CCTV camera before she quickly explained their discovery and subsequent struggles, emphasizing the importance of finding the missing pieces to complete the mono berry cure, also explaining to him it was had always been her goal to production the cure, and how it would benefit the company and humanity.
Zech listened intently, his eyes filled with a mixture of admiration and encouragement, he didn’t want it to stop her from finding the cure, “You and Bella have come so far already. I believe in your abilities to find the answers you seek. Keep going, and remember, sometimes the greatest breakthroughs come from the most challenging moments.” He said that it was quite a shock to Rachel, she thought she had to convince him more, seeing there were possibilities of not being successful as a businessman. She knew he cared for profits and growth of his company, right now she was pleased with him.
He gave her the cup of coffee in his hand “here drink this” he said Rachel took it from him “Thank you sir” he turned and left the office heading back to his office.
As soon as Bella rushed in back and they began from where they dropped off, Rachel’s mind was filled with what Zech had said earlier, she wasn’t concentrating with all the color in the air, she was a little disturbed.
Little did they know that their relentless pursuit of knowledge and perseverance would lead them down a path of unimaginable discoveries, forever changing the course of medicine and the lives of countless individuals in need.
Vin walked into his office, with a file in his hand, she sat on the chair opposite Zech. “Mega Star Company has decided to sign the contract on our terms” ‘ he said with a smile before his face turned a little sour.
“It’s your birthday in three days’ ‘ he said but Zech’s face immediately turned cold, he didn’t say anything, because it was the death anniversary of his father, he never celebrated his birthday not once.
“Your still not going to celebrate it, you know your father wouldn’t want that for…” Zech raised his hand in the air signaling that he didn’t want to hear that.
“Okay fine your choice”.
Rachel was in the Cafeteria during the break period. She decided to grab a burger and juice then head back to her lab, when she overheard some girls saying that their boss’s birthday was in three days.
