He pulled back with a soft smile on his face.
Nathan. It seemed perfect and sounded satisfying in my head.
I could say that all day. Nathan…
I bit my lip from smiling too hard. Nathan. I said softly, letting the name roll off of my tongue.
His eyes turned a darker shade of green as he looked into mine intensely, making me feel all kinds of ways.
Nice name. I said lamely.
Thanks I worked hard on it. He winked at me, and that did it to set off my cheeks getting flushed.
He examined my face as I tried to look anywhere but into those entrapping emerald eyes.
We should get some rest. He stated finally, letting me go from his secure hold and turning to walk down the hall.
I awkwardly stood there, not knowing if I should follow him or if I was expected to stay here and sleep on the couch.
Are you coming or are you just gonna stand there like an idiot ? He called out from his room.
I simply huffed, holding back the rising blush on my face, before finally walking down to his room.
I glanced down at the clothes I had on. My only pair of clothes.
I need something to sleep in. I called out to him.
I didn’t know where he was, probably behind one of these doors.
I know. He muttered, followed by some shuffling.
Where am I sleeping ? I asked.
On the bed. He answered.
Where are you sleeping ? I called out, looking around to see if there was a couch or something.
On the bed. He repeated.
Wait, what ?
So we’re… Sleeping together ? I asked awkwardly.
Yes. He confirmed.
On the same bed ? As in under the same blanket ? I asked nervously.
I heard a sigh, then saw him come out from what I guessed was his closet, a white shirt balled up in his hand.
Yes, princess. Sorry I can’t afford a king sized bed for you. He said sarcastically.
But… I trailed off, trying to find a reason why sleeping on the same bed might not be a good idea.
I toss around a lot ! I exclaimed, mentally high-fiving myself for that save.
That makes two of us then. He said, walking to his dresser and opening a few drawers, searching for something.
But-but- I stuttered like a helpless girl in those movies where there’s this- never mind…
But what ? Calm down princess, I’ll stay on my side, and you can stay on yours. He assured me, throwing the white shirt at me and going back to his closet.
You can change in the washroom. He called out.
I gulped and made my way to his washroom.
I stared at myself in the mirror, feeling like an idiot. I had a large T-shirt on that only covered down to my mid thigh, leaving the rest of my legs bare.
I was so glad I had gotten that laser hair removal thing on my legs, otherwise I would have cactus legs right now.
I took a deep breath and peeked out the door.
Nathan was standing facing the wall, his back to me.
It looked like he was on a phone or something, which confused me considering there was no signal up here.
I could make a sprint to the bed and jump under the covers before he turns around…
I didn’t take time to think over my other options and made a wild run towards the bed. I tended to follow through with my ideas immediately after thinking them up. I guess you could say I liked to live like a rebel.
I was almost at the large inviting bed, before I tripped over air and face planted into the carpet.
Amazing.
I groaned and slowly pushed myself up, turning around to see Nathan standing there, staring at my legs.
I so badly wanted to dissolve into the air right now.
I cleared my throat awkwardly.
Aren’t you gonna help me up ? I asked.
Instead of holding out a hand, which he seemed to be doing a lot of lately, he burst out laughing.
Even more amazing.
I waited impatiently for him to shut up as I sat there with an angry glare.
Once his laughter had died out, he held out a hand.
I ignored it, using the blanket on the bed to pull myself up.
I thought for a second I’d drag it down with me and fall again, but I thankfully caught my balance and stood up straight. I tried not to let my accomplished smile show too much on my face.
I climbed onto the bed, sliding my body beneath the thick blanket and snuggled into his comfy bed, ignoring his gaze on me.
I heard him let out a soft laugh, before I heard him walk away to shuffle around in his room.
After a while, I felt the bed shift and the blanket move as he slid under the covers himself.
The room became dark as he shut off the lights. Goodnight princess. He said softly.
Night napper. I muttered, half asleep.
I heard him mumble something in frustration about his real name, before delving into a deep sound sleep. I almost forgot I was under the same covers as my kidnapper.
Wait hold up-
