“Damn, Rosiley! You actually called yourself a monkey!”
“You are the monkey.”
The two of them walked towards the elevator while talking and laughing.
When the people who were waiting for the elevators saw them approaching, they quickly dispersed. In the blink of an eye, one of the elevators had no one standing in front of it.
When Rosiley and Yayoi saw that there was no one waiting in front of that elevator, they did not think anything of it and walked right towards it.
“Rosiley, in a few days’ time, Tanghai is going to host their annual entertainment party. Will you be attending?” Yayoi asked.
“It depends. If the company asks me to go, I’ll go.”
Yayoi sighed, “For me, I would really like to go. After all, there would be lots of famous celebrities. But…”
She shrugged her shoulders, and then continued, “I simply don’t have the qualifications to attend that kind of event.”
“You really want to go?” Rosiley looked at her seriously.
Yayoi returned a smile. “Yes! I want to see those famous celebrities and ask them for their autographs. Maybe I could make some money out of it.”
Rosiley was speechless.
It seemed that she had only said that she wanted to go because she wanted celebrities’ autographs.
When the elevator arrived, Rosiley walked in first and Yayoi quickly followed.
It was at this moment that Yayoi realized that something was wrong.
“Why are we the only two people waiting for this elevator?”
It was currently rush hour, so it should not be just the two of them.
Rosiley only noticed after hearing what she said. However, she understood immediately.
“They don’t want to take the same elevator as us.”
“Why?” Yayoi did not understand.
Rosiley shrugged her shoulders. “Maybe they think that I have a special relationship and do not want to get too close to me.”
Her half-truthful tone amused Yayoi. “It is true that you have a special relationship.”
Rosiley could not hold back her laughter either. “That’s right. Now that Corey has become our Managing Director, my backing is even stronger than before.”
“I want to cling onto you.” Yayoi threw herself onto her and smiled obsequiously. “In the future, I’m counting on you to cover for me.”
Rosiley pinched her cheeks with a smile and said, “Okay, I’ll cover for you.”
When Tiana got fired, the Managing Director position became vacant.
Every qualified and capable department manager of the company coveted this position. They wondered if the company would want one of them to take up the heavy responsibilities of Managing Director.
Unfortunately, they were destined to be disappointed.
During lunch time, Rosiley and Yayoi sat in a corner of the cafeteria and chatted as they ate.
At this moment, someone suddenly ran into the canteen and shouted, “The new Managing Director is here.”
The canteen erupted into chaos immediately. Everyone put down their chopsticks and ran out of the canteen.
Seeing this, Rosiley and Yayoi looked at each other. Wasn’t it just the Managing Director coming? Was there a need to be so excited?
And… why had Corey chosen to come to the company during lunch break?
They blinked their eyes a few times and then lowered their heads at the same time. They stuffed a few bites of food into their mouths and then drank some soup. Then, they also put down their chopsticks and ran out of the cafeteria like everyone else.
