Chapter 96. Watch Out!

Book:Alexa The Dark Witch Published:2024-8-20

At 11:00 AM,
In a classroom, there were many students, one of whom was a young lady with chestnut brown hair writing on parchment. She looked at an old man, about sixty years old. The atmosphere in the room was quiet because the students, who were all twelve years old, were focused on the man.
“The Zlatav government system is a kingdom led by an emperor. Usually, only men rule because power is passed down from father to son, a. k . a. patrilineal.” The bald-headed man spoke slowly, so all the students had to listen carefully to note the essential points of his explanation.
“Regarding the history of Zlatav, you can read it yourself in the book. It is all there. You can easily find all the genealogy of the Zlatav emperors, including how many cities and villages there are in this country.” The man with glasses continued to explain in a low tone, so several students yawned because they were sleepy, and most were bored with his monotonous explanation.
The daughter of Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira also yawned, even though she was sitting at the very front. Alexa tried her best to stay focused, even though this was very difficult for the girl to do.
Why am I even so sleepy, huh? Even though I went to bed on time last night and luckily there were no nightmares, so I did not wake up suddenly, thought Alexa, who was already feeling bored with the long hours of class for her. The two magical black dogs still faithfully accompany the Chosen One, and never once do they leave the young lady.
“Your task is to make a summary of the history of Zlatav, at least three parchments. You can do it now; those who have not finished can submit it next week on the same day and time. Do not forget to add some details. If you succeed in doing so, I will give A+.” The hook-nosed man promised, making all the students, most of whom were sleepy, become excited.
“Is it true what Professor Datmorth said?” A green-eyed woman whispered to a friend sitting next to her as if afraid of her voice being heard by others. She sat behind the Messenger of Goddess Magia.
“You heard him, Tagathea. The Professor already said so, so he must not be lying.” The black-haired young woman whispered, and she heard clearly what the teacher was saying. They seemed to doubt the truth of the old man’s words because it seemed too good to be true for all students, including Alexa, who was sitting not far from the target.
“The Professor is so stupid that he wants to give an A+ if we do the assignment according to his wishes. He is very stingy in giving grades. Usually, only Alexa gets an A, even though we also do the same thing as that witch.” The long-haired woman seemed annoyed with Alexa, even though she did not do anything terrible to her.
One of the magical dogs to Alexa’s right heard the conversation between the two mortals. He stood up and as soon as possible bit with all his might on Tagathea’s leg, who had dared to insult the granddaughter of Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira.
“Argh! Argh!” The young girl screamed out loud because she did not expect to feel something biting her leg, even though no one else had done anything wrong to her.
Without further ado, everyone paid attention to the woman, including Alexa. They were confused about what happened to Tagathea, even though nothing was strange. The thin teacher also turned towards his student. He could not see clearly, even though he was wearing glasses. “What is it?” asked Professor Datmorth in a slightly loud voice.
The girl could not answer because she was in pain. A magical dog was still biting the target’s leg, and its pair of eyes seemed to radiate deep hatred. “Argh! It hurts!”
Tagathea could only cry because she could not stand the pain anymore. The teenage girl tried to move her leg, which was bitten by one of the Goddess of Witchcraft’s pet companions. Still, the terrible magical dog did not want to let go, so the teenage, who had a height of one hundred and sixty-two centimetres tall, could not get up from her seat.
The other girl sitting next to Tagathea had moved from her and tried to help her end to move, but she was utterly unsuccessful. “Are you okay? What ails you?” he asked, confused.
“I do not know, Amethea. Argh! Someone… argh! No. Something bites my leg!” The maiden had difficulty answering but tried to escape from the dog’s bite, even though Tagathea could not see the magical animal directly.
“There is nothing suspicious here. Are you sure about that? Maybe your leg has sprained, so it is difficult to walk?” The friend tried to help Tagathea, but the girl, who had insulted Alexa shook her head while still sobbing because she was in excruciating pain as a result of being bitten by a magical dog who hated her evil words towards the Chosen One.
“Did you say anything earlier, Tagathea?” The Professor’s voice was loud enough to make everyone turn towards the man who had been sitting in the chair and had not moved from there. The owner of the name could not answer yet because the girl really wanted to scream but was still held back, considering that she was still in class and many of her friends were looking at her.
A woman who had three faces, a body, and three pairs of legs and hands appeared by herself. This apparition was unknown to many of the teenagers there, except the teacher. However, the old man did not want to say anything and just glanced. That immortal Goddess flew towards the magical dog, who was still in the same position, namely biting the target’s leg.
“Tegothra.”
The mystical sound made the dog look up as soon as possible, and he saw the form of an immortal goddess there. Goddess Magia looked at her pet companion with an expressionless expression. She showed no emotion, but Tegothra seemed to know what his master wanted.
“This girl has insulted the Chosen One. I do not like her words, Goddess.” That magical dog said in his heart, which was heard by the Moon Goddess, still flying. The atmosphere in the class became tense because they witnessed the strangeness that was happening with Tagathea, who had not yet found a solution.
“Let go of his legs, Tegothra. She could die, and the Chosen One will be in trouble.” Goddess Magia ordered this to one of her pet companions so that the magical dog was forced to obey the order.
“Argh! It hurts!” The young girl screamed because she felt someone let go of her leg, but the pain was so dominant, and Tagathea could not endure it any longer.
“Take her to the medical room.” The Professor gave the order, even though he knew what caused this incident to happen to one of his students.
“Yes, Professor.” The black-haired woman responded to the teacher’s words, and she helped her seatmate to stand up so that he could be taken to the infirmary, so that he could be treated by Madame Ethnia.
All eyes were still focused on the poor teenage girl. When the two young girls passed by the teacher’s desk area, Professor Datmorth said thoughtfully, “Tagathea and Amethea. You have to watch out for your words. This also applies to all of you. If you still like to insult other people, then this incident must be something you will experience. Trust me.”
Without further ado, everyone in the class felt the piercing cold air, including Alexa. The students suddenly had goosebumps because they felt the presence of an astral being but did not know who was with them.
