Chapter 77. Tell The Healer

Book:Alexa The Dark Witch Published:2024-8-20

Five hours later,
The heavy rain had stopped, but the sky still looked cloudy, and the cold wind was still blowing as if indicating that rain could come at any time. A red-haired woman looked out from a closed window. She could only remain silent because there was nothing else that she could do.
“The rain has stopped, but for unknown reason, I feel horrified. Is there something happening outside the orphanage that we do not know about? Ah, it is none of my business.” A woman named Ioxinete Loiston continued to observe the view outside but did not want to leave her room.
“At least there were no floods or landslides here, so we are all safe.” The woman with thick eyebrows was grateful because the situation was still under control.
Loiston started to look in another direction, but she could not see any further due to distance limitations. “Should I make an announcement to the children in the orphanage not to go out yet? Today is a holiday, and tomorrow will also be a holiday, so if they want to play outside, there should not be any problems.”
“What is Lenny doing? If I am not mistaken, today or tomorrow is the day when the emperor’s envoys come. Hopefully, they will not come here or just go straight back to the capital. I do not want the existing peace destroyed because of their arrival.”
Meanwhile, in the medical room
A blonde woman was seen tidying up the books on the table. The atmosphere in the room did look better because candlelight was installed in several areas, including at the table where he was. After tidying up the books, that girl looked at the door she had deliberately left open. “Is it still raining outside? I wish it would not be like that anymore. I want to see what was going on outside because I am bored of always being here.”
Just as Menka said that another woman had entered the room, she noticed the assistant’s expression was pale, as if she had encountered a ghost. “Aren’t you going to pray in front of the statue of Goddess Erie? Healers, whether senior or junior, must come to our lady personally at least once a week. Do not say that you forgot about that.”
A woman, who still looked youthful even though she was thirty-six years old, tapped her forehead gently as soon as possible. At the same time, Madame Ethnia even raised one eyebrow as if waiting for an honest answer from the interlocutor she was talking to, even though the senior Healer knew that the assistant must have forgotten about worshipping her personally. Goddess Erie.
“Oh my! I am sorry, Madame. I forgot about that. I will go there now.” Menka did not want to stay any longer because she had to carry out his obligations as a Junior Healer. Ethnia just kept quiet because she was reluctant to continue the same topic of conversation.
When Menka passed through Ethnia, the woman who had been a Healer at the Ztatzav Orphanage for seventeen years said to her, “If Goddess Eire tells you something, do not forget to tell me. You have been with me for a long time, so our lady can give you orders about your future at any time.”
A senior Healer, who was one hundred and sixty-four centimetres tall, stopped walking because she did not understand the meaning of the words. However, Menka did not want to speculate because she had to arrive in front of the altar as soon as possible for private worship. “Yes, Madame,” said the maiden, obediently.
Ethnia stared at the back of the person she was talking to until the interlocutor could no longer be seen. “I want to know whether Menka is fit to be an independent Healer, considering she has been here for so long. However, it all depends on our lady’s judgment because only Goddess Erie knows about a person’s abilities, including her readiness.”
In the midst of the silence there, the silver-haired woman began to remember Alexa and how the safety of the people at the orphanage was threatened because of the danger that was soon approaching because there was a Seer who had leaked the situation of the Chosen One.
“If I am not mistaken, several men should be coming here, and they come from the palace. Are they visiting here or even affected by a plague like in the vision I saw? Hopefully so. Damn! This does not mean I’m happy if some people are suffering, even seriously injured, but if it were not for that, we would all be miserable.”
Madame Ethnia looked back, and the candlelight was still shining, although not as bright as the sunlight. The terrifying vision that he had seen began to flash in her mind, so she exhaled heavily. “If what I saw was true, then I wish no one died. But, if that were the best, it would happen as Goddess Magia wishes.”

In a room in the girls’ dormitory
A young girl was still fast asleep. Alexa’s expression looked very calm as if nothing was bothering that girl in dreamland. There, the first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, was reading in an extensive library, and the atmosphere was very bright and quiet.
I am pleased to be in this place. No one will do evil or bully me. I can even freely enter the library without anyone disturbing me, thought Alexa, as she opened a new page in the book she had been reading.
The hazel-eyed woman was stunned because she realized a strange sentence was written there: You can’t be too happy, Alexa. This dreamland is not your place.
That smart girl girl, who had a height of one hundred and seventy centimeters tall, did not see another sentence, so this event made her astonished. Alexa tried to open the previous page, and everything looked normal. That young lady repeated this five times, and the result remained the same.
Such a moment made the twelve-year-old girl frown. She did not know what had happened, so the virgin did not understand even more. “What was wrong? Why does this sentence appear and nothing else?” Alexa muttered, confused.
When the girl turned in another direction, the old sentence disappeared and, without further ado, was replaced by another sentence, but Alexa had not realized it yet. The granddaughter of Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira again turned her attention to the book and was again amazed because she saw word for word that was different from the previous one.
“Alexa, you are safe until the right time has come. Do not forget to tell the Healer in your orphanage. Tell her that you do not have to worry, and she will understand.” The slender girl read what was written in the book, so her confusion increased because she did not understand why she had to come to Madame Ethnia.
“What actually happened? I have no idea about that, but why is there a message you have to inform the Healer? If I am not mistaken, there are two Healers at the orphanage. Was that message specifically for Madame Ethnia, right?” said Alexa, who was still confused.
That young lady opened a new page again, and another sentence appeared, which at this moment made her even more incomprehensible. “You do not need to know what happened. Just convey my message. Do not forget to wake up now, because the rain has stopped and do not forget to eat something and stay healthy, Alexa.”
The book seemed to read the girl’s mind so that Alexa, who did not know about the news about the arrival of the emperors, just remained silent while still staring at the writing on the paper. “The rain has stopped? Aha! I remember that before I went to bed, there was heavy rain at the orphanage, so I could not leave my room. How does this book know?” said Alexa, who could not hide her surprise.
Suddenly, the girl felt something icy touch her right hand, so she woke up from sleep. Alexa was silent for three minutes because her consciousness had not yet returned to one hundred per cent. That young lady’s heart was beating as fast as if she had been running fast, although this was not the case. “I had a strange dream. Why is it that every time my dream seems okay, suddenly, the situation changes? What was going on?”
Word per word Alexa had read in a book when the teenage girl was in the dreamland, including news about the weather, came back to her mind. The Chosen One had not checked directly at the window because she just woken up. “If what the magic book says is true, I must immediately meet Madame Ethnia. Maybe these messages are essential for her,” muttered Alexa as she got out of bed.
A young lady woman with chestnut brown hair walked towards the window with a feeling that was difficult to describe. When she arrived at her destination, Alexa saw that the sun was shining brightly and several girls were already outside, which surprised the girl even more. “It turns out the weather is indeed clear. I have to tell the Healer about my weird dream.”
